Once a month Bradford u3a has a meeting of its Social and Tech Help Group at City Vaults, and we are extremely happy with the venue, and the kindness of the staff. Mostly we just buy hot drinks as it is a morning session, but occasionally members stay on for lunch. Thank you!
Nice pub. Good selection of beers and extensive food menu. The kids policy however is different in person than on the website, online it says kids are welcome, but there's a sign in the actual entrance saying kids aren't permitted unless eating; may need to ask before bringing kids inside.
It was my first visit to City Vaults, although I'd heard good things about it. It's a historic building with lots of steps. The food was really nice. As it was just a lunch. I went for the fish goujon sandwich. Very tasty with a side salad and chips. My only complaint was the tiny tea pot! Just one cup? Seemed a waste of a pot to me. It could have been made in a cup. The gents toilets were a bit of a hike away but easily found. I didn't spot the disabled access. As I said, there are lots of steps. Service was reasonably quick and efficient.
