Nick and his team carried out a significant amount of work on our 1850 Kent Peg Tiled, cottage. We had a roof valley completely stripped and retiled, 3 of 4 tile-hung top floor elevations stripped, insulated and retiled and a leak around a chimney fixed with new lead flashing and tiles. From the moment I met Nick I had complete confidence and trust in him, both in terms of his knowledge and experience in working with heritage properties, but also his professional and friendly manner. Nick has professional and personal integrity and is as honest as they come. No corners were cut, everything was done as it should be and lots of repair short cuts that had been taken over the life of the house were put back to how they should be. They encountered a few additional problems throughout the project, but Nick’s comment was always, ‘don’t worry, you’re in safe hands’ and, indeed, we were! Nick’s team are superb and adhere to his requirement for everything to be done correctly and neatly, as if they were working on their own properties; particular thanks to Tom who did a superb job for us. Nick’s team were extremely polite and respectful to us and our property, they turned up exactly when they said they would and kept us fully informed at every stage of the work. I wholeheartedly recommend Nick and his company: extremely knowledgeable, professional, reliable and honest- a ‘safe pair of hands’!

Tom and Kevin fixed my leaking garage roof. They removed the existing gully and replaced with new and replaced all rotten felt. They did a grand job and were very tidy. They took on the extra unexpected work without drama once tiles were removed.

Nick and his team have carried out several roofing jobs for me, all of which I have been extremely happy with the end result. One of the past lead projects that was done unfortunately the lead came loose and fell out, after I contacted Nick he immediately came and repaired it, insisting the work was guaranteed and there would not be a charge, which I appreciated his integrity

Tom has spent the last couple of days replacing our soffits and doing some guttering work...a few weeks prior to this he did some roof work for us as we had an internal leak in one of our bedrooms . We are very happy with all of the work,the soffits look great and we no longer have a wet wall indoors! Tom was recommended to me and everything you want from a tradesman. Tom came round to survey the job on a Sunday and quoted via email and not just verbally. Easily contactable and even more importantly Tom contacted me regularly with arrangements for scaffolding and updates on the repair date, due to the awful weather. The work itself was done to a good standard and I would definitely recommend Tom and will defiantly use him again.

Tom came out to look at the job and got back to me quickly with a price and date for work to begin. He re-bedded all the loose ridge tiles on the roof and replaced any broken tiles. He also repointed some brickwork. All the work was carried out with care and all debris was cleaned up afterwards.

We found Tom to be hard working, reliable and he did a first rate job on our 2 bay car port using traditional Kent Peg tiles.

Alan and his team undertook an excellent refurbishment of a flat roof at my property. It also included replacing two worn out roof lights, which had seen better days. I cannot speak more highly of the team effort, standard òf finish and tidying up after themselves. In addition, they came later to fit a new dry verge system to both gable ends. There can't be many firms who charge less than the original quote and, indeed, their expertise is second to none.

We have used SLK Roofing on 3 occasions now - fascias, soffits and guttering; replacement of roof felt on an extension; and replacement of lead apron flashings (photo attached of the ‘after’).On each occasion the work has been carried out to a very high professional standard at a very competitive price. SLK Chris and team done a fantastic job replacing new baton felt tiles also including a new velux roof window. Chris gave me a good quote for the work to be done. Chris and team were respectful of my property leaving it tidy every day. A few months later I had Chris replace the felt on my flat roof, I have solar panels on there which were removed carefully and frame work, they were replaced with equal care once the felt was replaced. It's not often these days to have your expectations exceeded, but I did with SLK Roofing. I had SLK carry out remedial work to our roof, hanging tiles and fascia/guttering. Chris Vincent, the owner of SLK Roofing, replaced the flat roof of our house extension together with his wife in October 2024. The previous roof was about 35 years old and had developed a leak. We waited 6 weeks before writing this review to ensure all was well and the leak had gone (fingers crossed. After a poor experience with another business I contacted John at JT Roofing, and I have to say this was a lifesaver of a decision. They where on time, professional and far exceeded what I expected, I would highly recommend.

Jamie turned up very quickly and gave me a price that I liked. I was (previously) very cautious of building contractors generally but Jamie put me at ease with his terrific inter-personal skills. He and his team rapidly completed all of the tasks - himself putting in a ‘Herculean’ effort. We hired Jamie and his team through a recommendation of a friend after we had a very unfortunate turn of events with some previous builders who had been contracted to construct our loft conversion. Jamie's team took on the removal of two stud walls, the installation of a 3 meter high joinery-built staircase over a 10 meter deep gap, and the installation of a large MK04 Velux window in the roof. Over the few days of completing the job we found that there was a roof leak from where the previous builder's roofers had not sealed off the removed chimney flue, and Jamie's team quickly agreed to get up on the roof, patch it, and inspect and put right any defects. They were fast, accurate, professional, and happy to take on previous work and correct it - and all for a fair and competitive price. Would i hire Kent Roofing services again? Yes. Would i only hire them to finish roof services? No - the company has proven that it can do so much more than roofing services to a high standard, and so i would happily hire them for any other internal work. Above all of this, Jamie and his team have proven themselves to be trustworthy, good around working in sites where there are young children, fair and reasonable on pricing, and invested in ensuring that he can help his clients get a good and regs-compliant finish. They also worked well with the other trades that we had in, and in particular in going through some site specs with our other carpenter (who had been installing joists and secondary finishes) and project manager). We would definitely work with them again.

If I need roofing work again (which is quite likely), James is the first person I will call. He came the day after I messaged him, quickly found the problem and fixed it. He strikes me as being extremely competent, skilful and trustworthy and I would recommend him to anyone who needs the servies he offers.

Excellent service and brilliant workmanship, so professional. Jamie was friendly and so nice to talk to. English is not my first language but he patiently listened to me and gave me step by step explanations. What a relief. Jamie and his team sorted out my overgrown ivy, mended leak, and installed new soffit, fascia, gutter and leadwork. Beautifully done. After work, they even wiped my entrance door and garage door. Danny and the team were excellent. We came to Danny after our builders of the extension managed to screw up our fibreglass roof. Danny gave me some excellent advice and as a result we re-roofed the entire extension and now have a watertight and professional looking job all at a great price.
