Repaired chimney stack and replaced broken roof and ridge tiles to side of property. Work was done swiftly. Reported back with photos to show problems. Punctual and easy to talk to. Fingers crossed damp problem has gone.

H roofing were one of 6 or 7 roofing companies that I contacted for a quote for roof repairs, several of which came to our property and provided quotes with varying scope of repairs and pricing. We knew that we had one leak but did not know exactly where the water was getting in, and damp patches on internal chimney facing walls in one or bedrooms. It took a while for Henry (H Roofing) to respond to my initial enquiry seeking a quote, but he explained valid reasons for the delay. Henry came round the next Saturday morning, listened to what we thought needed fixing, then got his ladders of the van and got up onto our roof crest (we have a 3-story property) to take a proper look for himself. Although some of the other roofers who came to our property did get ladders out to look at our roof, Henry was the only one who got onto the roof to inspect the relevant areas close-up. When he came back down from the roof and explained carefully what he had seen and shown photos he had taken whilst up there and what work he thought was required, his attention to detail and his friendly, non-pushy way he conducted himself earned my trust that he knew what he was doing and would be able to resolve our roof issues. When I received the quote a couple of days later, I was pleased to see that the total cost was within our budget, so engaged H Roofing to do the work quoted for. We had had cheaper and more expensive quotes, so Henry’s was mid-range of our set. Our roof repairs required several sections where scaffold was required, this was all part of the total price quoted (something we had budgeted separately for just in case). The work took place over several week in August. At all times Henry kept me informed of when work would be carried out and when upfront deposit and final on completion payments would need to be made. As I was working from home through this period, I was always on hand then Henry had any questions re: work to be done, or to advise repairs done or any additional items that he thought needed to be brought to our attention. In the end we have several additional pieces of work done by H Roofing, including some soffit refixing repairs, but the additional cost was still within our budget. I was very happy with the service provided to us by H Roofing and would recommend them unconditionally. We did in fact refer one of our close neighbours to Henry whilst he was still on our site as they had had a leak in one of their flat roof sections, off the back of the level of service we had received from him.

Henry was a life saver for me. The storm took all my ridge tiles away and broke several tiles on the way down and left loads on the roof. Henry responded very quickly and the work was done in 2 days. Lets just hope the insurance company are as efficient as Henry.
