We contacted John a few years back, and since then, if there has ever been an issue with our roof, I've not looked anywhere else. This time, we had a leak in our roof - Battons were wet through and felt had come down due to tile gauge not being adequate when the house was built in the 70's. John, quickly identified the issue and was out to fix the issue within a couple of days. He takes a huge amount of pride in his work, does a thorough job and always reasonably priced. Plus, he is a really nice chap, easy to talk too and trustworthy. Wouldn't use anyone else and very happy recommending him to family and friends.

My roof needed a full refurb as the underfelt was in poor condition, cement in the verges and ridge was starting to crack, and it had been largely untouched for 45 years. I had several quotes and John provided a very competitive price for the work required. He was the only person who suggested replacing the existing concrete tiles with new ones rather than cleaning them. Surprisingly, this worked out marginally cheaper than cleaning and refitting the old tiles. I now have a brand-new roof which looks amazing. Quality of work is excellent. John clearly knows his trade very well; his experience and personal quality standards could be seen throughout the work. As an example, when some of the dry verge covers did not fit as well as he liked, he changed them for an alternate make which gave a much better appearance and fit. All this extra effort was unprompted, just part of his desire to do a good job. I would fully recommend JBF roofing if you are looking for professional, high quality roof work, big project or small, John does it all!

It was a complicated job that most roofers wouldn't touch, but that didn't put John off. Just for the initial assessment of the problem he needed to perform a complicated feat of contortionism in order to gain access. Once he had decided how it should be tackled, he provided his own scaffolding tower to cut down costs. He provided video evidence of the problem before and after the repair. Our non-standard 19th century property is now watertight from the rain. He cleared up afterwards and you would never know he had been there. He turns up on time, is honest and trustworthy and is always in a good mood. There's no one better.
