The food was excellent. Portions are large, and there is good attention to detail and making sandwiches (not dry, not soggy, good seasoning). We had a Ruben (which was great), the pulled pork (which was massive), halloumi fries (crispy outside, well season, soft inside, not chewy), and the mac & cheese (could have been more seasoned and creamy). Well worth grabbing lunch here.

We have only ever had delivery but it is always amazing. Our favourites are the breakfast Quesadilla & the Ruben Sandwich. Always fresh, hot & full of flavour. Our absolute favourite for a lazy (on our part) delivered meal. Excellent value too.

We had a great meal here. The service was attentive, the food was really tasty (definitely reccoment the Lasagne) and the prices were reasonable. Will definitely be back. They have Gluten Free options too which is always nice to see.

We went to this restaurant because of the positive reviews on Google Maps, and I would say it fully deserves its high rating. All of our food was delious that I didn't know which one was my favourite: starter bread dough was crisp on the outside and soft chewy on the inside, the margherita pizza was great (I felt like I visited Italy again), the coffee ice-cream and the mango sorbet were full of flavour. The lunch menu was good value and I would say the portion is generous. Staff were all very friendly and the restaurant was family friendly.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Osteria! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding, Gesi and Simion took amazing care of us and made us feel truly special throughout the afternoon. Their attention to detail and warm, professional approach added so much to our Special day. Our food were perfectly prepared and full of flavour. For our main course, we had spaghetti bolognese, fettuccini al filetto, seafood linguini and focaccia, for dessert we had tiramisu, creme brullet, chocolate fudge cake and coffee, that were absolutely delightful, fresh, rich, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was inviting and relaxed, making it the perfect spot for a memorable meal. Highly recommend, especially if you're looking for top-notch service and fantastic food. So my family has been talking about osteria for months now, about how great the service was, the portion sizes and the price. I partially took this as they don't get out much I'm sure it's not that good. So off we all went for a meal a couple of weeks ago and I have to say I was really impressed and agree with all my comments above. Service these days is pretty mediocre after COVID however they were on point the whole evening. A highlight was the limonchello shots which were complimentary! You don't see this from restaurants anymore. Keep up with the amazing food and hospitality. I will be back very soon.

Visited November 2024 On road parking in the evenings is unrestricted making accessibility to this little gem easy. It’s a little, pretty, restaurant with few tables. It’s a limited menu but food done to a good standard. The service was brilliant, all the girls are super attentive. We both had the soft shell crab. It was mainly batter, and the main body of the crab wasn’t a soft enough shell to eat. For mains we had the duck with dauphinoise potatoes and creamed veg and the steak. The steak was so tender that you could have cut it with a butter knife. Dessert of espresso crèmè brulèe and sticky toffee pudding were both delicious. The free drink for our special occasion was a nice touch. Three courses each for approx £140. 8 out of 10.

Had an absolutely wonderful Sunday lunch today! Delicious and fantastic portion sizes, just the right amount. For mains we had roast beef, lamb and cauliflower. And desserts we had rhubarb posset, affogato, sticky pudding and sticky sundae. The service and staff were excellent and attentive. It's very cosy and personal too. Highly recommend going to Eight!

This is my partner and I local favourite spot, especially for date night. And this is the best kitchen you will find for gluten free and intolerance accommodation. The staff are great and the supper clubs are a must try. If you want a more relaxing sophisticated night with a loved one, family, friends but still an atmosphere and buzz without large crowds this is the place for you.

Stylish and cozy interior. Food was perfect; I would highly recommend the Dauphinoise. Very much enjoyed the seating being able to watch the chef’s put together the tasty dishes too. Well worth the money.

Fantastic evening walked in without a booking and was taken care of. Service was exceptional, Louis was lovely loved her enthusiasm and knowledge on the food and full menu. Great wine, food was the best we have had in a long time could not fault it. We opted for the bar table and was not disappointed had a lovely window into the kitchen where the atmosphere was harmonious. 10 out of 10, we have recently moved to Baldock and will definitely be showing this restaurant off to our friends when they visit. Returned on Friday 2025 to absolute delight of small plates, we had a great evening. Better than London it’s so good. Food is amazing the flavours of the dishes were brilliant, cocktails made are spot on. If you have not been then this place is worth the visit though you best plan ahead as always fully booked. Inside is very pretty and classy, the service is really good to high standards I’m looking forward to my next visit.

We’ve been ordering food from Village Tandoori in Abbots Langley for years, and it’s hands down the best Indian food in the area! The dishes are always delicious, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with care and passion. The service is exceptional, and I’d especially like to thank the owner, Ali, who goes above and beyond to ensure every meal is perfect. He always asks if everything was enjoyable, which shows how much he genuinely cares about his customers. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Indian cuisine!

I’m in my 60’s therefore have been brought up on F&C’s. Deep Blue is a quality outlet, me and my partner visit Baldock Services every Friday and divulge in this meal. The F&C’s served are of the highest quality at a reasonable price. The staff are very friendly and now recognise us due to our frequent visits. Well done DB.

Ended up getting some unplanned fish and chips from here today. Food was really good. Was served by a lad with long hair (didn't get his name) but the level of service he gave was 10/10! Really lovely lad and definitely made my experience as a customer that much better!

We had delicious food. However I was sweating inside so defo lower heating. Service was fine just didn’t look happy at points but they always made sure we had everything. Pudding was yum too

Have been coming here for well over a decade, it’s great to see the new owners have once again made it a huge success in the village. The refit looks fantastic and “Insta ready” for the modern age. New menu items of homemade samosas and chicken 65 are excellent and unique in the area. Service is very very good, special thank you to Selim and colleagues for the memorable photos and birthday cake :)

As a customer who keeps coming back.. this time I felt the food quality went bit down from past few visits. Went with friends for my birthday and as always staff is extremely kind and attentive, special shout out for the staff as they sang the birthday song for me so louldly and with full on energy. Loved it. Although I want to add that I was a bit disappointed with the food this time, the on the house pitta is no more the previous freshky baked pittas, the vegetarian grill we ordered was really bland and not cooked properly. Borek and other starters were great but main courses were not as yummy as they used to be. Thank you.

This Turkish restaurant is amazing! I’m from the central London which I can tell that it’s impeccable compared to all Turkish London restaurants I’ve ever tried in London. The meat is extremely juicy and palatable, which perfectly suitable for no matter British or Chinese appetite!!! We ordered its just for two and the portion was very impressive. Definitely will try again when backing to Watford!

I've been shopping with my missus in Watford shopping centre and we decided to go for lunch nearby. We saw some reviews and decided to give it a go. What can I say? It was amazing. The welcome was very kind. The staff were very friendly and making their presence the right way: not too intrusive, not overly absent. The place looks really good, a very cosy ambience and a nice atmosphere overall, with the right choice of background music. Now let's get to the actual order: We had a meze combo and one calamari as starters. The combo is a must try. The taste of the meze was amazing. Although I would say that the taramasalata in the mix was 'meh', definitely not made in the restaurant. As main course, I had a mixed grill and my missus had the lamb cutlets. Everything was cooked to excellence and the taste was delicious. A bit of nitpicking now: it was just a little salty for my taste, but right enough to make me order an extra beer, so I'll alow it ;) The drinks menu is very good and diverse. Plenty options for spirits, wines, cocktails and beers. The cocktail was served with a cheeky gimmick, thumbs up for that. The bill was moderate, with the service charge included. My personal opinion: In general, I don't like when restaurants are automatically including the service charge on the bill, making it mandatory. This should be down to the customer to decide whether the service was worth the extra charge or not. Yes, in this case the service was excellent, definitely deserves the extra charge, and honestly I would've pay a bit more than that. But please, allow me to make that call, don't impose it :) The bottom line: we would definitely come back and we highly recommend it.
