Having just enjoyed a great hour of practice at the recently refurbished and relaunched Berkhamsted driving range, I am thrilled that Ryan and team have created something really special! The concept of renting a bay rather than buying a bucket of balls is far better! Really hospitable service and a great vibe. Will make this our regular range, just so lucky to have this on our door step. Best of luck to the team!

The golf range has been totally refurbished with every bay now having the excellent trackman golf system. It’s run by lovely local family and they offer a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks which they will bring to your bay. Great to have this back open again and highly recommended. Also very family and beginner friendly.

Lovely facility with friendly staff. They use very good range balls which means the trackman data is far better and more accurate. It’s nice to see a modern driving range with excellent facilities.

Just got back from Berko Golf Range - what a fabulous, family-run business! Everyone was so lovely and accommodating, really made us feel welcome. The atmosphere is great, and it's clear they care about their customers. We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice course, great views too. Clubhouse friendly and very aesthetic. Not too difficult nor too easy.Never seems busy - mainly due to the limited member numbers. . Very quiet for 11am tees onwards . Plays well in the winter months. Strongly recommended.

The atmosphere here is fantastic, with a premier feel from the entrance to the clubhouse. The course was mostly in great shape, The layout offers a challenging test, especially with penal rough. Friendly staff and reasonable prices make it a worthwhile visit.

A lovely golf course with some challenging holes. I had the tomato soup and goats cheese and sun dried tomatoes sandwich. It was delicious and reasonably priced.

1st visit. Well worth it, nice clubhouse. Good course. Challenging, excellent greens , great bunkers. Good facilities. Food was nice, staff pleasant. A good test of golf. I will return..

Played in the Mixed Foursomes event for the second time. The course is in great condition and the club's hospitality and food outstanding. Hope to be back next year.

Magnificent fairways and greens. Picturesque location. Great hospitality. Just go and enjoy yourself. The view as you tee off the 18th is stunning, just aim for the steeple.

I was lucky enough to visit from the Gold Coast, Australia. David and the team were so welcoming. The course was in fantastic condition, and the greens were absolutely immaculate, the best I've played. I found it very challenging as this was my first experience with a links style course. There are a lot of interesting holes and a lot of blind shots that make it challenging without some local knowledge. I certainly would have scored a lot higher but was lucky enough to play with some friendly members.

This place is absolutely fantastic. Have played at a number of local premium courses over the last few weeks but this is a true gem. Played here yesterday as Batchworth and Moor Park closed due to rain. Well done to the team at Sandy, the course is in pristine condition. The clubhouse is also extremely inviting and the staff are well trained.

One of my favourite local courses and arguably one of the best. It plays better in winter than most given the sandy sub soil. It’s an inland links and when the wind is up it can really feel like a true links. Condition is always outstanding and greens as good as it gets. The practice facilities are great and right in the door step of the club house which is also great.

Outstanding Food & Service : Wedding : Porters Park Golf Club was the venue for our daughters wedding. Absolutely 5* service, food, staff, bar, venue. We're still getting comments from guests about the food and staff. Amazing venue for a wedding or other function. Would recommend to everyone. Massive thank you to everyone for an outstanding event.

Truly lovely course, the staff are extremely friendly and kind. The food is very good and so are the drinks. Nothing is too expensive and they are good prices. I would highly recommend it to people that want to join a new golf club.

Arguably the best layout in Hertfordshire with the course to match. Running firm and fast through the summer Berkhamsted keeps you on your toes with no hole allowing you to rest on your laurels.

The course layout is excellent, providing a challenging test especially for straight hitters. It's in superb condition with friendly clubhouse staff and a well-stocked pro shop. Ideal for events with up to 120 guests, offering plenty of food and drink options. Overall, a top-notch experience with attentive service.

Always a pleasure to visit Berkhamstead GC as the staff are fantastic throughout. The course is a gem, however, the gorse and heather which is to this course what double greens, riveted bunkers and wind are to St Andrews ... have been hacked back and removed to a shocking degree. I wonder why this is? I personally don't think the course was that tough as to necessitate this to the extent it's been carried out. I'm assuming there is a very good reason for this as it's altered the character of the course radically in my opinion. I still love the course as much as ever, but I wonder how the the loss of so much gorse will impact upon nature ... mainly the bees, who let's face it, play a gargantuan role in the ecosystem. Let's hope it grows back!

We had an absolutely fantastic day, and I received overwhelmingly positive feedback from everyone who played. The course was in excellent condition, a true credit to your greens staff. The hospitality was superb, and the food was delicious – everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Thank you for making us feel so incredibly welcome at your club. We held a small family party (low key) at Brickendon Grange. It is a lovely building in well kept grounds. The staff were very efficient and attentive. They decorated the table for us beautifully and clearly had spent some time doing this. We were in the Oak Room, which was very suitable for 19 of us to be seated comfortably. The food was lovely (vegetarians catered for). Cannot fault it .

We used Brickendon Grange Golf Club for my dad’s 90th birthday party. It was fabulous! The room was light and airy with lovely views, the hot fork buffet was delicious and all the staff were really helpful. Parking was easy too. Everyone said what a lovely time they’d had.

I played this course as part of an away fixture. The first time that I've played the course and was really pleasantly surprised. The club house is an extended manor house with a very modern dining and patio area behind the main entrance. The practice area is pretty good with separate nets, putting green, chipping area and grass range. The only down side was, that because it is corporate owned i presume, that there was a function going on which meant the place was packed and we had to park adjacent to the grass range, leaving numerous cars in danger of an errant golf ball from there. The course itself is a tree lined parkland course with some really nice holes. There is enough elevation throughout the course to make for some great views but it does mean that you are playing a couple of blind approach shots. The course was in great condition. The fairways had really good coverage, the greens were of a good standard with a consistent roll and had enough slope on them to make for some challenging putts. The trees around the course provide some testing drives but with plenty of space further out for longer hitters. A couple of nice dog leg holes require accurate tee shots with challenging approaches. The final hole is a good looking par 3 up hill, with a view into the patio area. The members were friendly and the food was good. There were parts of the course that were still a little damp but there is a fair amount of water in the way of pond or streams to add further challenges into your round so not that surprising. Overall well worth a visit but it definitely should be played off the back tees to get the most out of your time there.

Simply first class, easily my favourite course in Hertfordshire which says something given the calibre in the County. It’s a beautiful course, immaculate in condition and a really great layout. The club house is superb and very friendly staff and great food.

A very special golf course set in a National Trust area of outstanding beauty. If you like driving the ball it's great for that, the greens are generous in size but don't be fooled if you are a long way away from the pin, good putting is a premium. The members are so friendly, everyone I met or spoke with were so proud of the course and club. Well worth a visit to this English top 100 golf course.

Amazing course set in the woods with trees either side on most holes. A real challenge. Some old fashioned values still at the club. One of our party was picked up for not wearing white socks. But otherwise the club was really nice and the bar and food all really good. Bar lady was super friendly and a breath of fresh air.

1st time of playing Ashridge it had been well recommend to me and we were not disappointed with the course. Greens and bunkers were in excellent condition. Food and service was fantastic all staff and members was friendly and welcoming
