Had a few hours to kill, so stopped off to hit a couple of balls at the lovely driving range. Unfortunately I didn't have my clubs with me. Spoke to one of the staff. Well what can I say. What a fantastic team. Sorted me out good and proper. The golf course looked amazing. If only I lived closer I would definitely go and play

Great yet challenging course. Good condition, green fairly undulated, great club house and a lovely bar / patio area overlooking the 18th hole. All-in-all well worth the trip there.

What a great parkland course. I have lots of positives about this course. The course is in excellent condition, especially for this time of the year. The green keepers have done a superb job. The course was tidy, there was no litter, the greens ran true and the tee boxes were pristine. The course is a joy to play, and this has clearly been designed to the highest standards. I didn't find it tough but it was a pleasure and i would return as every hole was different. Also the course played well, there was a good variety of par 3, 4 and 5's around the course. The ending hole is one of the best in the UK. After a big drive i decided to go for the green and take on the lake in 2 , luckily i did and almost sunk my eagle putt. If you like parkland and water hazards then this course is for you. I thought was very good value for money and i am giving it a 5 start rating.

Clearly a course that is going through a lot of changes right now, huge bunkering project that is half way done. You can see some of the ones that have been done and they look immense. Front 9 is relatively straight forward with a few good scoring opportunities, back 9 becomes a bit tougher and more strategic. Would love to come back in summer and see it in full bloom

Brilliant course, best in the region. Really friendly staff. Greg Smith made me feel very welcome in the pro shop and always seems keen to be helpful. Great greens, which seem to improve every year I go.

This is a mature and well maintained course. It's a good challenge for most players. The pro-shop is well stocked and the staff here are most helpful. The club house has good changing facilities on the ground floor and a smart bar and restaurant can be found on the first floor. The restaurant has a large balcony/terrace overlooking the course, giving users a most pleasant experience whilst they dine. There is a large car park and easy access directly off the A10.

Attended a family birthday party in the function room. Lovely setting, great staff and very good catering.

Lovely course. Very well kept fairways beautifully manicured. Greens are fantastic, well looked after and run true. Lovely scenery as you make your way round the course. Quite hilly but lots of buggies on offer. Very friendly and helpful staff in the pro shop. Bar staff are very welcoming, a good choice of beers and spirits. Decent food menue. Looking forward to coming back again in the near future.

Great course! Good layout. Except the 3rd hole maybe. Half way house was very reasonable and good quality. Had a good time!

Great course for all playing abilities. It’s well run and the course is always in great condition. Played as a junior member and still come back to visit and play.

Great Golf Treat The course was in good conditions considering the time of year, a bit boggy in-between the holes but in general the fairways were well drained, the real treat were the greens, very receptive and rolled true. I will definitely be back in the summertime as the layout looked fantastic.

Fortunate to have played this majestic course for the Sinclair Invitational alongside some top notch pro's. Never easy, especially with those water feature holes & always seems in great condition. The 1/2 way hut is a welcome food & drinks break when open. Good practise range facilities. Recommend

Course is in great condition at the moment. It's a long walk, but some nice holes. Service in the bar can be a bit hit and miss.

Arguably the best layout in Hertfordshire with the course to match. Running firm and fast through the summer Berkhamsted keeps you on your toes with no hole allowing you to rest on your laurels.

The course layout is excellent, providing a challenging test especially for straight hitters. It's in superb condition with friendly clubhouse staff and a well-stocked pro shop. Ideal for events with up to 120 guests, offering plenty of food and drink options. Overall, a top-notch experience with attentive service.

Considering there are no bunkers this course continues to play tough. Miss the fairway and your playing out sideways or your lost in the bracken and ferns which are plentiful. Lovely club house and big car park. Careful as you cross the B roads that thread through the course as they are busy.

I played there yesterday with the Building Alliance Golfing Society. Staff were excellent was was the reception we received and the food we were served. Course looked great considering that we are not yet in summer. No negative comments from all 58 of us. The greens were good and I suspect frighteningly faster in the summer. Great bunkers with really good fair sand, great viciously raked. It’s difficult to loose a ball as the rough is kept in control. Very enjoyable experience.

Nice open course, not too difficult, greens are fast, course is beautifully kept. Not too many hazards, and generally open fairways. Great facilities at the club. Very expensive to play though

A fantastic course. Impeccable greens, well kept fairways with decent tees, plus nice sand in the bunkers. A nice setup for all the holes with good challenges, but nothing too difficult. So great for most level of golfers. I wouldn't recommend getting buggies though as they must remain on the cart path. In some ways that's good as it keeps the fairways in good nick, however, there can be more walking and time spent to get the right club. The service was brilliant from conversations with Tom who dealt with all my groups needs and making it perfect for the day, with Alice who looked after all of us brilliantly. There was a lot of nice little touches - with individual gold name tags for our bags, a lovely pouch with The Grove tees and pitch repair. Alice made sure my cakes were cut up and ready at the halfway house before hole 10, and took a load of nice pictures of us on the first tee. Really impressed with the overall experience with a big Thank You to Tom and Alice who made my 50th really unforgettable.

One of the best kept course I have visited and played. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the entire course was fantastic. The greens were perfect, the rough wasn’t too rough and the fairways in better condition than a lot of other courses putting greens! Sausage bap was top notch as well. Highly recommend

We had an absolutely fantastic day, and I received overwhelmingly positive feedback from everyone who played. The course was in excellent condition, a true credit to your greens staff. We held a small family party (low key) at Brickendon Grange. It is a lovely building in well kept grounds. The staff were very efficient and attentive. They decorated the table for us beautifully and clearly had spent some time doing this. We were in the Oak Room, which was very suitable for 19 of us to be seated comfortably. The food was lovely (vegetarians catered for). Cannot fault it .

I played this course as part of an away fixture. The first time that I've played the course and was really pleasantly surprised. The club house is an extended manor house with a very modern dining and patio area behind the main entrance. The practice area is pretty good with separate nets, putting green, chipping area and grass range. The only down side was, that because it is corporate owned i presume, that there was a function going on which meant the place was packed and we had to park adjacent to the grass range, leaving numerous cars in danger of an errant golf ball from there. The course itself is a tree lined parkland course with some really nice holes. There is enough elevation throughout the course to make for some great views but it does mean that you are playing a couple of blind approach shots. The course was in great condition. The fairways had really good coverage, the greens were of a good standard with a consistent roll and had enough slope on them to make for some challenging putts. The trees around the course provide some testing drives but with plenty of space further out for longer hitters. A couple of nice dog leg holes require accurate tee shots with challenging approaches. The final hole is a good looking par 3 up hill, with a view into the patio area. The members were friendly and the food was good. There were parts of the course that were still a little damp but there is a fair amount of water in the way of pond or streams to add further challenges into your round so not that surprising. Overall well worth a visit but it definitely should be played off the back tees to get the most out of your time there.

We used Brickendon Grange Golf Club for my dad’s 90th birthday party. It was fabulous! The room was light and airy with lovely views, the hot fork buffet was delicious and all the staff were really helpful. Parking was easy too. Everyone said what a lovely time they’d had.

A hidden gem of a golf course. I played Whitehill as part of a society day. On arrival it looks as though you are driving into very well maintained converted farm. However, you soon discover on the parking area that there is a small well functioning range and that the buildings themselves are focused mainly towards the golf course, which I guess is as it should be. The pro shop staff were very welcoming and there was a good selection of beer and beverages available from the bar. I didn't have any food however the guys playing with me spoke highly of what they had ordered as snacks. Sitting down on the patio area by the practice green, you could see that the area was of a really high quality with some great brakes on the practice slope. The green looked as though it had been very well manicured and upon using it prior to my round found it gave a very even and consistent role, I was highly impressed. The course itself is a meandering parkland course and is very well situated with some slopes and hills that offer a real challenge. The fairways are tree lined with a lot of mature trees so the course had obviously been there for a while. The fairways were well cut and the rough was generally speaking fairly favourable. The second cut off the fairway was to a couple of inches and whilst it would trap the ball it did not mean that you lost many balls as part of your round. The greens were like the practice area and gave a fantastic roll with some lovely looking approach shots to them. The only real challenge was playing a number of blind tee / approach shots and having to use the well placed marker posts in order to find your line However a lovely detail for the course was that on every hole was a picture board with the layout of the hole you were playing with a separate picture showing the green and an indication of where the slopes were. The only thing the boards lacked were distance marker points on the picture but then that might make things a little too easy. The course had ball washers and bins at every tee which is something that I find has been withdrawn more and more from other courses and is something that I like. The 14th hole when i played was undergoing maintenance to the tees and was being played as a par 3 from halfway down the fairway but there was still a marker board giving the distance to the green. Having looked at the green fees on their website they are currently under £45 for a midweek prime time round which for the course is great value. I really enjoyed my round there and it is definitely a course i would recommend and visit again. Well done folks.

Played here for first time Saturday morning. Very friendly staff in pro shop. Course in great condition. Biggest compliment is for the course layout though. Really interesting holes, laid out beautifully between mature trees and with challenging contours of the land. Genuine thought required on most holes. A couple of great shot par 4's, a few blind shots, but well marked. All in all, a great morning and somewhere I hope to play again, soon and often.

We had a brilliant experience and it was the best decision to hold our daughter’s wedding reception at Whitehills. Amanda and the team were amazing, attentive, organised & made the day completely stress free for us all. The room, the setting, service, planning were all perfect and very reasonably priced. The DJ they recommend (Wayn)was the best, he played exactly what we asked & the dance floor was full from start to finish. Highly recommend it for any function. Bob and Gael

Lovely course, recommend a visit. Barely a flat lie all round, one suspect hole, maybe 14th. Lunch food was really nice too.

Ran a society day, from start to finish from Ben and the team were amazing and so accommodating. Food was amazing (steak and ale pie) as was the course and hospitality. Would 100% recommend to Societies

Played there today as part of an organisers day. Played many times before but this day was outstanding. Couldn’t have been welcomed more and nothing was too much trouble. The course was in excellent condition considering we’d have days of rain. It’s a challenging play and enough to keep you interested. The staff looked after us exceedingly well (especially Ben) from start to end, whereby we had a delicious dinner to finish. Very positive experience. Give it a go 👍🏻

We booked in here today for the Easter Roast ( 5 adults and 3 babies) and we all agreed it was the best roast dinner we've had out for a very long time. Not only was the food outstanding, the friendly service, the setting and value for money was exceptional. Thank you so much for our Easter Chocolates. We will be going back soon and can highly recommend this restaurant.
