I’ve used Herts Handyman Services 3 times now to decorate my whole home. I’ve always been impressed with the care and attention both John and Rob take with their work, resulting in a great finish which has transformed the rooms and my home. Aside from that they always very punctual and leave the areas they are decorating clean and tidy when the finish for the day. Both very friendly, professional and easy to work with. I’ve also used their handy man services post decoration to hang pictures, change light fittings, tv brackets etc. I would thoroughly recommend using their services.

Herts Handyman Squad were recommended to my parents who wanted to have the doors, woodwork, hall, stairs and landing painted. John, Marion and Andrew worked extremely hard, we’re very professional and lovely. We are very pleased with the end result and would certainly recommend them, we will be more than happy to ask Herts Handyman Squad to carry out any future work, good quality, good value for a professional job.

John has been fantastic with his advice, and did a great job on the outdoor painting and jet washing. Easy communication. Highly recommend!

I found Robinsons through my own research of local landscapers. Andy visited a few times before we agreed to proceed, offering an excellent advisory service with lots of good ideas. The work itself is of an extremely high standard, I really can’t fault anything. The team were tidy and considerate and communication was excellent throughout. We will be progressing our project in phases and Andy is very accommodating to this. Phase 2 already booked!

I got details of the company through Trustmark and have been very happy with the design and work carried out by Andy and his team. The garden needed a complete makeover and the work was carried out thoroughly and efficiently from initial visit to sign off. I had to have new stone steps , and had a small garden room constructed together with a new patio at the bottom of the garden which has given great pleasure to me and the grandchildren . Security is important and Andy was able to advise and secure the garden for me. The finance was handled well with payment made in stages and maintenance has been offered. I have recommended Robinsons to neighbours and although my garden is small, I felt they took as much care with it, as with a large estate.

Very grateful to Tom and Alex for all the work they did in our garden. They worked hard and have made the garden ready for replanting.

Adrian and his sons have done some extensive fencing erection for us. Excellent attention to detail both with the lead up to the work and throughout the work itself. We needed shed demolition, a new sandstone patio, new fencing and demolition/ re-sizing of our raised beds. Alex was very clear in his quotes and the work this represented, leaving no ambiguity about the work that was going to be done. We are really pleased with the standard of his finish and the materials used - a lot of care has been taken to ensure the patio is beautifully flat! His design approach was fluid and quite happily responded to last minute design changes, he also was clear if this was not on the original pricing before going ahead, so no surprises in the final bill. I would gladly use Alex's services again.

We started off in a new build blank canvas and wanted someone who is a garden designer, but will also construct the garden for you (not sub contract it away as ideas gets lost in the process). We contacted Alex for initial ideas on how we could have a 'Japanese meets Tuscan' type garden. Alex really got what we wanted and drafted the design for us, taking into our requirements and also giving additional advise on improvements based on his long experience in this area. Alex gave us clear quotations for each element of the garden changes which makes it very easy for us to decide what we want done professionally, what the steps taken are and what the breakdown of costs are. We enjoyed every step of the process working with Alex from concept, design, quotations, changes, through to managing the delays caused by lock downs and finally the completion of the project. Alex has been very professional, thorough and detailed throughout the process and takes great care and attention to the building of our garden. We are thrilled with the new garden and will highly recommend him.

Jim and his team are a phenomenal set of Landscapers with the kind of attention to detail you wish all workmen would have. He has just completed a garden makeover for us and we could not be happier with the result. With Jim, you can expect someone who will listen to your ideas, no matter how farfetched, and find a way to make them work.

Fantastic job. I really wanted to finish off my new driveway with something that would be in period and enhance the charm and elegance of a 1930s house. I decided to purchase Marshalls Drivesys, despite being told that I would need a really skilled landscaper to lay them. Jim, the proprietor of Heath Landscapes Designs, personally oversaw the work. I was so impressed, all the cuts were spot on, great ratio of colour mix, he reinforced all borderlines and took extra precautions over drainage. I have to say it turned out perfect. Often passersby stop to comment on how well it has been laid. And with the heaviest of rainfalls, that we now so frequently experience, not once has it stood under standing water. I hope to get him back soon to do my rear patio 🙂

Would highly recommend Paris. My front garden has been totally transformed. He did an excellent job, arrived on time, worked meticulously and stayed until the job was done. Really pleased!

I highly recommend Paris for any outdoor work. We couldn't be happier with our new gate, fence and driveway path! We were working with a really challenging driveway on a hill and Paris worked so hard and so thoughtfully to get it right for us. He is charming as well as detailed and precise in everything he does. He visited the site several times before even starting and put in the hours to make it perfect. I have lost count of how many people have complimented his work and asked for his details. We will be getting him back for more work in the future!

Excellent all round. Paris is very pleasant to deal with and most importantly he is reliable - turns up when promised (starts early) and does a good days work at very reasonable rates. He gave us a quote very quickly and was able to fit us in the following week, he was also flexible enough to add some panels and posts to the job due to storm damage after he had quoted. He replaced the posts and panels on a large section of our fence and the fence is solid and straight - very good quality work. Highly recommended.

Sarah and Mark are a pleasure to work with. Prompt to respond, reliable, friendly and enthusiastic about their work. Sarah really knows her stuff (including ponds) and they both work hard putting in a long day to complete whatever you have scoped with them in advance. I moved to Hertford in May and our medium sized garden had a lot of potential but was completely overgrown with bramble and ivy. They have made some great progress in a short amount of time and now everything seems doable!

My garden was overgrown and tatty and I didn’t know where to start or how to prune any of my plants. Sarah and Mark were great to deal with, friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions of what needed doing. I've hired Sarah to help out with a couple of mammoth jobs in my mother's garden, and I have to say she's been amazing. From start to finish, Sarah got down to work, barely even stopping for a cup of tea, even though we'd booked her for the entire day. Sarah has a great knowledge of horticulture and was happy to advise on planting as well as weed control - she definitely knows what she's doing! On top of her professionalism, she is such a lovely, bubbly person, extremely good with my elderly mother - who now loves her! - and very easy going. I was helping out as her 'under gardener' both times, and she made a hard day's work fun. I totally recommend her.

Last week, tree heritage laid us a beautiful new drive way, accompanied with hedges running up either side. I asked Tree Heritage to replace a 4m sq area of decking under a pergola with paving which featured a mandala. They were very speedy with the quote and have now finished the job in an expert and efficient manner. It looks great and blends in smoothly with the path that leads up to it. I would definitely recommend this company.
