We cannot fault Oliver James and his team. Their work is of the highest standard and they are really great to have around. Marvin our Staffie particularly enjoyed them being here. We are so incredibly happy with our garden transformation and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them. Here are a few before and after pictures.

We have been using Oliver James for years, and have been very happy with service. Oliver James Landscapes have been totally reliable. Their work is very neat and they tidied up afterwards. They listened to what I wanted and really thought about what would be best for my garden. The finished result exceeded my expectations. For example, the trellis they installed is very attractive and the way they propped up soil (on a higher level) is neat and effective. It is obvious that they take pride in their work. I also liked the fact that James and Oliver were cheerful, friendly and approachable. (I sometimes heard their cheerful laughter, while they were working!)

Had my pond serviced recently by Marc good guy ,had to change the filter and clean the pump on my Oase 20000 in the pouring rain,he was very professional just got his large brolly up and got on with it ,most impressed. Will use again.

We used Dixons Landscapes to advise on how best to protect our privacy from a proposed housing development at the end of our garden. Jason Dixon understood our requirements completely and came up with ideas on how best to do this. The possible solutions were discussed and Jason was very happy to accompany us to a tree supplier to view the various types of trees and bushes that could be used. The implementation of the plan went very well and the team who carried out the work were very professional. The work was done faultlessly. Jason followed up afterwards to make sure we were happy with everything and to make sure the watering system worked properly and that we knew how to operate this. The end result was an immediate improvement that we are very happy with.

I would highly recommend Phil - he transformed our dejected looking front garden into a very lovely space. I had some idea of what I wanted and Phil was very careful to listen and understand my vision. He was reliable and good value for money as well as being a thoroughly nice person!

Really pleased with Topia. I had a few jobs in the garden; digging in a bark play area on the lawn and planting a new laurel hedge line on a previously scrappy border. Phil was round to quote quickly after contact, gave a great price for the work, then did the services whilst minimising any disruption. We moved into a 1930 house with a 6mx14m garden untouched. Our budget was limited and prices have gone up hugely. However Phil was able to advise us accurately about what we could do and even how to prioritise the jobs to be done. The price was mid range compared to other well reviewed companies but we liked the attention to detail, the patience with dogs and kids, the timely arrival, the way the guys cleaned after themselves daily, and how friendly, professional and easy to work with every single one of the team was. We highly recommend Topia as it seems that no job is too small or too big. Worth a call and a visit by Phil.

Steve and the boys worked tirelessly from 9 am to 3 pm and cleared up at the end. They were courteous and professional at all times and did a great job of tidying up a whole range of trees and bushes. Their quote was extremely reasonable and they did as they were asked to the letter. A first class job!

Steve turned up on time, knew his stuff, was honest about what could be done and couldnt be done. Gave me a fair quote, and was even prepared to work on a bank holiday for the same price. Worked very hard, and did exactly what he had promised. Kept the whole garden and drive very clean, and tidied up thoroughly at the end. Best tree surgeon that I have ever found.

If you invest so much money in your house, then to add a little more to get your garden designed the way you would like it, is well worth it. Sam will work on any budget, and mine was very low. I purchased a "new build", and the garden consisted of grass, some patio slabs and a small shed. I couldn't visualise easily, as I had lived in an apartment previously, and had little gardening experience. She listened to all my desires, Gazebo, entertaining terrace, plunge pool, waterfall, outside shower, raised beds, Silver Birch trees, meadow grass, … you wouldn't believe how long the list was. I wanted inside/outside living. All on a small plot … quite ridiculous when I think of it now. She was so calm when I was spouting all my wild ideas. She came back with a design that was beautiful, but there were parts I was unsure of, where was my plunge pool? But … I trusted her judgement, and she then proceeded to chase and obtain quotes from landscapers, giving them detailed specifications. I shouldn't have had any concerns. My dreams were far too wild for the size of garden, and small budget that I had, and Sam adapted my dream into a feasible reality. I hadn't considered the clay soil, where the sun rose and set, types of planting required for these conditions, top soil, beautiful patio stone, but Sam did. I am so happy with the result, and Sam has already contacted me about bulbs for next season. She also gave me a maintenance guide for all my plants, including pictures of weeds for me to recognise. Sam has created the perfect garden for "me", the amateur gardener, and I love it. I couldn't be happier!

They designed the water saving garden that after winning a bronze medal at RHS Chelsea Flower Show, was installed in the heart of our centre. The garden is so perfect it's as if it had been designed especially for us and the whole experience was brilliant. Thank you on behalf of us, our volunteers, visitors and all of the pollinators we have on our site!

I started working with Sam at the start of my home renovation. I knew that my garden needed a complete revamp so I wanted to make sure that i did it all properly rather than as afterthought. Very early on in our discussions it became clear that Sam was able to translate my vague ideas and ramblings into a beautiful design which somehow reflected everything I wanted but wasn’t sure I could articulate. Her design was bold and creative and definitely something I would never have been able to do myself. I followed her plan to the letter and I am thrilled with the outcome. The garden has been completed now for about 6 months and I am loving watching it come to life as the new season begins. I can’t recommend Sam highly enough, she has done a wonderful job here.

My favourite garden centre! The plants are so healthy and well looked after and they display them beautifully in coordinating colour schemes. The staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The shops are also stocked with beautiful and unusual bits. The cafe is even better now it’s been made larger, with a lovely selection of food and drinks. It’s even nicer to sit outside and admire the beautiful views across the adjacent fields. Dogs are welcomed, you just have to sit outside with them to eat or drink. Needless to say I could spend a fortune!

Lovely garden centre with lovely views. Huge selection of flowers and garden furniture and some lovely trinkets, gifts etc. Cafe is also up to a good standard. Food is not astonishing but great.

We have used Rowan for years now, and the two things that stand out to us most is a) the quality and choice of items that they keep in stock and b) the amazing knowledge, professionalism and friendliness that the staff always show us. And on that note, I would like to mention one specific person who has gone out of his way to help us, and that is Joe - Thank you Joe for your helpfulness and courtesy with us! Paul worked really hard through some pretty dodgy weather to complete our garden project on time and on budget. He had great ideas about the best materials to use and how to adapt the original plan where there were issues. He also took great care to minimise disruption and mess from deliveries. We appreciated his professionalism but also his good humour!

My wife and I reached out to Paul to help us re-work our garden by removing and laying a path, reworking a gravelled area and removing an old overgrown area and laying concrete ahead for the base of some futures sheds/garden buildings. Paul worked extremely hard through the ridiculously hot summer we've been having and has done a fantastic job of everything. Despite the knackering conditions, Paul has always been very friendly and upbeat. His work has exceeded our expectations and we cannot thank him enough. I would highly recommend his services.

Paul laid a very curvy brick mow strip all around our lawn and also added a circular patio and added some new grassed areas. He paid so much attention to each brick laid to make sure the end results was perfect. Despite the wet and muddy work everything was made good and looked amazing once finished. His enthusiasm and knowledge for the garden and plants was infectious. He even fixed a couple of broken paving slabs that he saw down our side alley without being asked It is refreshing to see someone take so much pride and care in their work and we would definitely book him again for any other garden project.

We asked Paul to do a number of landscaping works on our garden, including putting in a patio with step and levelling our lawn as it was on a slope. (As well as all the other necessary jobs like the cement works, digging etc). Paul has been fantastic. He understood just what we wanted and made helpful suggestions on what was possible with our garden along with giving his thoughts on various materials. He has been helpful and cheerful and has worked hard to achieve strong results for us. We are very happy with the final results and we can happily recommend him to anyone considering having any works done to their garden.
