We recently used south bucks carpentry for some renovation works. Brilliant from start to finish, both Adam & Troy were great. Kept me informed of all the progress on the works. Will be using again in the future.

Troy did a fantastic job on our oak handrail. His work was to an extremely high standard and he took great care in getting the angles and height precisely right. His attention to detail is meticulous and he take real pride in his work. Great job and highly recommended!

Troy and Adam have just finished fitting oak flooring and skirting boards in my new house and have done an absolutely brilliant job. From coming round to quote to finishing the job they have been friendly, professional, meticulous in their approach and have taken great care to lay the flooring in such a way that the individual planks are well positioned in the room rather than just randomly out of the box. Their fantastic work has played a huge part in turning what was a neglected doer-upper into a lovely family home ready to move into. They also very kindly fixed a stair riser and patched up a gap in the floorboards upstairs prior to carpets being laid. I’m absolutely thrilled with my new floors and with the price paid and won’t hesitate to contact South Bucks Carpentry for future work.

The following review is quite long and detailed, but it's worth a read since this time last year I had never met or heard of Paul and between then and now he completed a large project for me across the second half of 2024 and I could not be happier with his work! I bought a detached 3-bed house in May 2024 that was a real "fixer-upper", built in the 1980s. The plan was to start work ASAP, take 6 months or so to renovate the property and move in with my family by Christmas. There were many challenges along the way, but ultimately this happened on budget and on time and we were able to host our first Christmas in our new family home! This was achieved due to Paul's technical skills, project management ability, his incredible work ethic (absolute grafter), his punctuality and reliability, his loyalty (detailed below) and ultimately his sheer motivation to deliver quality and value to his customer. Paul quoted for the job which involved the following: * Fully gutting and renovating a 3 bed detached house (removing walls, replacing all floorboards etc) * A complex double garage conversion into living space, a utility room and bathroom * Fitting a new kitchen * another new bathroom and plenty more. Paul came highly recommended to me by my Electrician who also worked on the project. He is multi-skilled and can take on pretty much any task, but he is also an excellent project manager and delegator to skilled tradesmen. Throughout the project, Paul brought on board his trusted labourers as and when required, as well as a plumber, tiler, plasterer and some niche contractors too, all of whom I met and could see had a high level of skill and a solid work ethic. Paul also worked effectively with a kitchen design consultancy that I had brought on board due to the awkward shape and specific requirements. As with any project, there were plenty of challenges - some that were outside of our control and one or two due to frustrating attitudes from people I had brought on board who failed to live up to expectations (I will not name and shame, but I will not use again or recommend them). Paul stuck with me through a period of frustrating delays due to others and persevered through this challenging period of the project where others would simply have looked out for themselves and up and left. I was kept in the loop daily and we met on site once or twice most week when I could get there. I recommend Paul with zero hesitation for any large project or small job and I will certainly be using his services again!

Paul was punctual, neat, considerate and thorough. He and his team of tradesmen have done wonders for our kitchen. We highly recommend Paul and will have no hesitation in using his services for future projects!

We are exceptionally grateful for the works undertaken by Paul at our property. Paul is definitely a quality craftsman with an eye for detail. Paul built a frame and erected new sliding doors for our recently installed ensuitean and installed new spindles, handrails and caps on our staircase. It was the little features like returns which was so impressive! Nothing appeared too much trouble for Paul with his aim to fully satisfy the customer. We have already commissioned Paul to undertake further works at our property. Paul more than justifies his 5* rating.

Probably the most organised person I’ve met, knows exactly what’s happening and when. A delight to work with and did a massive kitchen transition first for us 2 years ago (this is a photo of the kitchen 2 years on) and then installed recently a beautiful fitted wardrobe. We love the result. Has a great team to help with the other bits too (particularly Alan and Mark). For the kitchen we were swapping our kitchen and dining rooms over. Had a lot of ‘old house’ hiccups along the way which he handled brilliantly. Highly, highly recommend.

We contacted A H Carpenters when we were in the market for a new kitchen. They were hands on throughout the entire process. Initially providing a professional design service to help us visualise our dream kitchen. This helped us greatly and their recommendations on fixtures and fittings were top notch. The installation was as professional and efficient as the design process. All trades were on time and provided a high level of quality in their work. Any problems or unforeseen issues we encountered along the way were dealt with promptly and great care was taken to explain the process. We commissioned Adam and his team to make a built in cupboard and some floating shelves for our living room. Our experience was good and the whole process from first speaking with Vicky to installation was less than 3 weeks. They were professional, friendly, timely and the carpentry was high quality. I'd be sure to contact them again for future jobs.

A great service provided by Adam and the whole team. Very professional and each of them paid great attention to detail. We are so pleased with the end result of our media wall we will most certainly use their services again in the future. We would highly recommend Adam for his overall workmanship and high standards.

David built some cupboards and shelves in the alcove spaces in my living room. He was very reasonable and did a brilliant job. He was very reliable and tidy throughout the project. I highly recommend him

We had an alcove cabinet and floating shelves built - very reasonable pricing and great quality. They look amazing and are exactly what we wanted. David was really friendly and also cleaned up everything after he had finished. Wouldn’t hesitate to call for future jobs and highly recommend!

David has done a lovely job for us building new wardrobe doors and making shelves for our cupboard. He fitted new skirting and architrave around a free standing wardrobe making it look like a built in wardrobe. We love it!

David initially came round to fit some doors and did a great job I ended up getting him to do stud work on an extension too. He is very professional and his work is consistently good quality. Competitively priced and leaves everything clean and tidy. David is friendly and a pleasure to have around. Some complex studwork was handled with ease and to perfection, exactly as I needed. I would not hesitate to recommend and will be using again.

Igor from Davira Carpentry did an exceptional job crafting a bespoke wall-to-wall wardrobe and alcove cabinets for us. The workmanship is top-notch, with everything built to the highest standard using high-quality materials. I would highly recommend Igor to anyone looking for skilled carpentry work.

Alcove Media Unit - Apr-24: Fantastic job and highly recommend. Igor is a very good carpenter and built our alcove unit to the left side of our fireplace, housing our cat 6 networking and media devices. The build was finished to a high standard, and provided very good value for money. I think one of the real strengths is Igor’s communication & attention to detail throughout, discussing different options for materials / finishes & taking time with measuring to support accurate quoting upfront, as well as providing updates throughout the build and prior to install. I just need to finish the rest of the fireplace now! Excellent service, thank you again Igor and will definitely be in touch again for future projects!

I couldn’t recommend The London Craftsman more. Ryan and his team live up to their name... they are true craftsmen! The alcove units exceeded all expectations, and I can honestly say they are the highlight of my house refurb. He made the whole process so easy and enjoyable. The quality, build and finish of the work is exceptional. If I could give six stars I would!

Ryan (and Sean) fitted two pieces of beautiful bespoke carpentry: a bookcase and multi-purpose storage cabinet (see photos - lights yet to be fitted). The finish of the pieces is stunning and Ryan was on hand to ensure everything regarding the fit went as smooth as possible. Top quality bespoke alcove shelving unit and under-stairs drawers/cabinet. Ryan was always polite and helpful. He advised us on the design. All the construction was done offsite at his workshop. He then fitted with his colleague in a day and a half. Very happy with the attention to detail, would definitely use him again.

Incredibly pleased with the end result on our wardrobes. Ryan was incredibly helpful from start to finish with really insightful advice that helped us get the most out of the space we had.
