We had Scott booked in for a job to replace our flooring on our ground floor. He showed up on the day agreed and done a magnificent job. He also came across some damp within our living room to which he repaired at a fair price. He had his son working alongside him who was also very keen and knowledgeable, both were polite and friendly. 10/10 service, will defiantly use again.

SAS Carpentry & Building renovated two external bin stores which included replacement of the doors and repointing. The works were carried out to a high standard and have transformed what were tired and dilapidated bin stores. Would highly recommend Scott and his team.

We had SAS carry out an extension for us in Harpenden, him and his team carried out an outstanding job from start to finish. We had 5 Quotations from different builders and by far Scott was the one we felt the most comfortable with and his pricing was very reasonable. Ally and Leigh are a dream to work with. They have transformed 2 bathrooms, removed and repositioned an internal wall, installed fitted wardrobes and built bespoke cupboards in a utility room.

Dave did a great job of making and fitting an entire upstairs staircase, restoring our downstairs staircase and creating storage space for us. An honest and reliable chap who knows his craft. Would recommend, we love the result and have asked him to do more work :)

Within a very short period of time after calling Dave, he was able to come and survey my heritage patio doors which were in desperate need of repair. Dave did this in between working on another job. Not long after that, he scheduled the work. It has been quick, efficient... and most importantly, high quality craftsmanship. Dave kept me in the loop as to progress, including sending photos and videos. The patio doors are now repaired and looking fantastic - and my tenants no longer have a draught! The service was absolutely perfect, thanks to Layla, who was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was just right. Her genuine care made the experience truly memorable. The food was nothing short of delicious! Every bite was a testament to the quality and care put into their dishes. Whether you're after a hearty meal or a sweet treat, this place has it all. And let’s talk about the farm shop—what a treasure trove! Packed with high-quality products, it’s a delight to explore. The Christmas decoration range was the cherry on top. Beautiful, unique, and full of festive charm, it’s the perfect spot to find holiday inspiration or gifts. Highly recommend this garden centre and cafe for anyone looking for great food, outstanding service, and a little extra magic in their day!

Carpenter's Nursery and Farm Shop, a delightful rural escape within easy reach of Harpenden and StAlbans. Its location provides a peaceful and picturesque setting, adding to the overall charm of the experience. It was my wife’s birthday and the family decided to enjoy a breakfast with her in the Potting Shed cafe. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Additionally Carpenter's Nursery and Farm Shop offers a fantastic selection of high-quality goods. Expect a wide variety of plants, flowers, and gardening supplies in the nursery section. The farm shop is stocked with fresh, locally sourced produce, including fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, and other artisanal food items. The emphasis is likely on quality, freshness, and supporting local farmers and producers.

A very nice family run garden centre and farm shop. The shop has expanded since I last visited and has a vast choice of quality - and a lot of local- produce. Worth a visit. They now (2022) have a 'refill pantry' to reduce plastic waste and fill your own containers with pasta, flour, toiletries etc.

Not only is this a gem of a nursery with great quality plants and knowledgeable,friendly staff but it also has an amazing cafe. The food is fabulous and certainly the best selection of options of any local garden centre. They have a quirky tradition on a Tuesday that if you can throw a double six with the dice provided they will pay your bill!! This has been a very lucky day- we’ll be back!
