“The following review is quite long and detailed, but it's worth a read since this time last year I had never met or heard of Paul and between then and now he completed a large project for me across the second half of 2024 and I could not be happier with his work! I bought a detached 3-bed house in May 2024 that was a real "fixer-upper", built in the 1980s. The plan was to start work ASAP, take 6 months or so to renovate the property and move in with my family by Christmas. There were many challenges along the way, but ultimately this happened on budget and on time and we were able to host our first Christmas in our new family home! This was achieved due to Paul's technical skills, project management ability, his incredible work ethic (absolute grafter), his punctuality and reliability, his loyalty (detailed below) and ultimately his sheer motivation to deliver quality and value to his customer. Paul quoted for the job which involved the following: * Fully gutting and renovating a 3 bed detached house (removing walls, replacing all floorboards etc) * A complex double garage conversion into living space, a utility room and bathroom * Fitting a new kitchen * another new bathroom and plenty more. Paul came highly recommended to me by my Electrician who also worked on the project. He is multi-skilled and can take on pretty much any task, but he is also an excellent project manager and delegator to skilled tradesmen. Throughout the project, Paul brought on board his trusted labourers as and when required, as well as a plumber, tiler, plasterer and some niche contractors too, all of whom I met and could see had a high level of skill and a solid work ethic. Paul also worked effectively with a kitchen design consultancy that I had brought on board due to the awkward shape and specific requirements. As with any project, there were plenty of challenges - some that were outside of our control and one or two due to frustrating attitudes from people I had brought on board who failed to live up to expectations (I will not name and shame, but I will not use again or recommend them). Paul stuck with me through a period of frustrating delays due to others and persevered through this challenging period of the project where others would simply have looked out for themselves and up and left. I was kept in the loop daily and we met on site once or twice most week when I could get there. I recommend Paul with zero hesitation for any large project or small job and I will certainly be using his services again!”
