I recently had the pleasure of working with Barnet Joinery , a top-notch joinery and carpentry company that provided outstanding service and exceptional results. From start to finish, their team of skilled craftsmen worked diligently to create 2 bespoke doors and a wardrobe that exceeded my expectations. The process began with a thorough consultation, during which they listened carefully to my vision and offered their own insights and recommendations. They took detailed measurements of the space and provided a range of design options to choose from, ensuring that the final product would fit seamlessly into my home.

We found James through the recommendation of one of our other tradespeople, and he came to our rescue after we had a very negative experience with a previous fitter who we had to let go early in the job. The difference between James and the previous guy is absolutely night and day, and he worked very hard to get our kitchen fitted absolutely beautifully. He was very good at adapting to the difficult situation, and fixing the previous guy’s mistakes. James is very friendly to work with, and made me feel confident in his work and able to ask questions. We also really appreciated the level of effort he went to to get our kitchen installed relatively quickly, as we had been delayed (by hiring the wrong guy in the first place!) and were desperate to get our flat back to normal, but without compromising at all on quality. We also have quite an awkward and odd shaped kitchen, with lots of strange angles which James was able to handle beautifully, even when things like 90 degree corner posts supplied by the kitchen company needed adapting. He did a particularly great job cutting and fitting our compact laminate counter top. James is punctual, reliable, trustworthy and great with communication, and we will absolutely be recommending him to friends and family in the future. He really saved the day for us, we just wish we’d known to hire him first- a kitchen hero!

James has excellent attention to detail, he's diligent and will help solve problems. The quality of his workmanship is first class and is shown in the photos. James even helped me remove doors and lift in my American fridge which was curb side delivered and I was advised it would never fit in the house. Without James it would still be on my door step.

James was brilliant, professional, friendly and very reliable. He fitted new worktops in our existing kitchen and omg we love it. He did an amazing job. What a transformation. I would highly recommend his work.

I was very pleased with James. He is very punctual and works really hard to ensure that the job (in my case a kitchen) was finished as quickly as possible. The standard of work was exceptional. James had to make some adjustments to the planned kitchen to make it possible given a high ceiling and some wonky corners. Any requests for changes and adjustments were accommodated. Incredibly pleased with the end result on our wardrobes. Ryan was incredibly helpful from start to finish with really insightful advice that helped us get the most out of the space we had. Ryan and Sean fitted some bespoke wardrobes for us in April 2025. It was a tricky space with a slanted ceiling and a window to contend with but Ryan was not phased at all and came up with a great solution. Communication at every stage was excellent and fitting day was seamless. Ryan and Sean are a dream team and a pleasure to have in your home. Will certainly be having them back for some other bespoke furniture creations!

Ryan (and Sean) fitted two pieces of beautiful bespoke carpentry: a bookcase and multi-purpose storage cabinet (see photos - lights yet to be fitted). The finish of the pieces is stunning and Ryan was on hand to ensure everything regarding the fit went as smooth as possible. It's clearly Ryan takes pride in his work and this shines through in both the quality of the product as well as the professionalism and service he provides. Top quality bespoke alcove shelving unit and under-stairs drawers/cabinet. Ryan was always polite and helpful. He advised us on the design. All the construction was done offsite at his workshop. He then fitted with his colleague in a day and a half. Very happy with the attention to detail, would definitely use him again.

Ben recently designed and installed two fitted wardrobes into alcoves for us. He also fitted shelves in two rooms. We are extremely happy with the work that Ben has done. I recently hired Thomas Carpentry & Joinery to make and install two alcove wardrobes in our bedroom and I couldn't be happier with the results. Our wardrobes are handmade and built to fit our space and needs perfectly. The quality of the finish is outstanding and has far exceeded my expectations - it was worth every penny! The whole process was brilliant - Ben was incredibly helpful in supporting us to get what we wanted, and he communicated with us throughout. The installation was quick, efficient and stress-free, and we weren't left with any mess whatsoever. Ben built us a beautiful cupboard for our bedroom. The attention to detail and care constructing and fitting the cupboard has been such high quality and the result is incredible. Matthew is so easy to get on with & is a decent, honest craftsman.For over ten years Matthew has made furniture for us. We have several bespoke items which fit our home beautifully. For years we searched for wardrobes tall enough for our house & eventually found Matthew who made fitted wardrobes to our spec at a price that was at least a third cheaper than buying wardrobes. Our latest project with Matthew was our new kitchen. Again we came up with the design & adapted & revised it with Matthew who gave up loads of his free time in the evenings to help & advise us in the process. The result is fantastic. Surprisingly, having gained quotes from all the big kitchen fitting companies in the area, we still saved thousands by using Matthew. He has a passion for his work & the materials he uses & that shines through in the finished product. We would highly recommend him & his team - even though that then means we may have to wait longer for our next project as he is so very busy - surely testament to his skills & character in itself.

Matthew and his team made a beautiful, bespoke kitchen island for us which was everything we had framed of.After months of searching and not finding what we were looking for from kitchen companies, I found matthews details on google and we only needed a few discussions before he came up with the design, and knew exactly how to achieve the look we were after with curved edges and fluted wood detailing. It was a pleasure to work with Matthew and his team, everything was on time and installed perfectly, we couldn’t be happier and would definitely look to Matthew for any future projects.

Matthew made our dream kitchen! Initially we were only going to have an island made by Matthew but once we saw the quality of his work we realised it would have been a crime to not have the whole kitchen made. We new exactly what we wanted and the whole process of designing, making and installing was top quality. The site was tidied up every day- and the whole team worked well with our builders. Excellent craftsmanship and first rate really talented carpenter. We've used Kamil a few times; he's fitted doors for us, and changed spindles on our staircase to glass. I needed some timber cutting, three cuts in an oak post. IPS fitted me in as an extra job and charged me a fair price. All the order companies I rang weren't interested, so thank you IPS.

We have had Mike and his excellent team to do two large outside jobs in Highgate. The first one was to replace a cover for a small semi circular water fountain. It was quite a tricky task and it needed a lot of attention to detail but the end result was a triumph. The second task was to replace some wooden seating slats on top of some old railway sleepers. Once again the result was excellent. We have also had a bathroom window replaced. Once again, all very good. Mike is very efficient and prompt in coming to quote. He has an excellent team. They work hard, turn up on time and take great pride in all that they do. We highly recommend IPS Joinery.

Extended our loft hatch, strengthened the beams and installed new door. Did a great job, and kindly accommodated our short timeframe. Not just a joiners but can do all building related work so a really good find for our renovation project.

I am an Architect and I would not hesitate to recommend this company. Recently they made a set of French Doors for my house and they did all the work to an excellent standard. The joinery was made to a very good quality and the installation team did the job well. It was also all done for a very reasonable and competitive price .
