As a single female I have met and paid a fair few cowboy builders and was very sceptical of finding another builder however I was pleasantly surprised after being given Trevor Wards number. Lakes Carpentry and Builders have converted my garage into a room for my model railway layout. This work included moving a door, installing insullation, new floor, ceiling and walls. Building storage and a basebooard to build the tracks over. They have also built a new brick built shed and replaced the facia on the rear of the garage. I am very happy with their work.

We’ve used Lakes builders for two jobs, a garage conversion with a small but complex extension and then additional internal improvements including new doors throughout the house. We received clear quotes and information at each stage, with excellent ideas given by Bill to ensure a seamless integration of the extension with the rest of the house. We found Bill and all his team to be friendly and professional with high quality workmanship. Whenever a snag was found Bill always had suggestions for how we could address it. We’ve been very pleased with the work completed and Lakes will continue to be my first point of call for any work needed in future.

Bryan has completed two separate pieces of work for me, both to a really high quality. Firstly outside house maintenance and then a refit if my kitchen. He is a very talented craftsman, I was really impressed with his professionalism and standard of his work. He also worked well with other contractors involved and left every clean, tidy and is a really nice guy. I’d highly recommended him.

Bryan supplied and hung some internal doors for us, and did a great job. Bryan is an experienced carpenter, and a nice guy. He arrived early, worked hard, and kept the place tidy. The doors were supplied from Howdens with a base coat/ready to paint, which we did ourselves. I would recommend Bryan/Carpentry UK, not just for simple jobs like ours but for bigger projects.

I've used Bryan a number of times now. He's fitted wooden flooring through downstairs, replaced kitchen work tops and most recently fitted an oak beam above my fireplace. I can't recommend him enough. Great workmanship, great guy and has always left the place clean and tidy.. Hightly recommend!!
