Ordered from here last night for the first time as been struggling to get a good takeaway. The reviews looked great so thought will try it. The reviews are bang on. Really friendly man on the phone when I ordered. All came piping hot, really good sized portions, reasonably priced. All absolutely excellent. Will definitely be ordering from here again. Thank you

We’ve been ordering food from Village Tandoori in Abbots Langley for years, and it’s hands down the best Indian food in the area! The dishes are always delicious, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with care and passion. The service is exceptional, and I’d especially like to thank the owner, Ali, who goes above and beyond to ensure every meal is perfect. He always asks if everything was enjoyable, which shows how much he genuinely cares about his customers. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Indian cuisine!

So my family has been talking about osteria for months now, about how great the service was, the portion sizes and the price. I partially took this as they don't get out much I'm sure it's not that good. So off we all went for a meal a couple of weeks ago and I have to say I was really impressed and agree with all my comments above. Service these days is pretty mediocre after COVID however they were on point the whole evening. A highlight was the limonchello shots which were complimentary! You don't see this from restaurants anymore. Keep up with the amazing food and hospitality. I will be back very soon.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Osteria! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding, Gesi and Simion took amazing care of us and made us feel truly special throughout the afternoon. Their attention to detail and warm, professional approach added so much to our Special day. Our food were perfectly prepared and full of flavour. For our main course, we had spaghetti bolognese, fettuccini al filetto, seafood linguini and focaccia, for dessert we had tiramisu, creme brullet, chocolate fudge cake and coffee, that were absolutely delightful, fresh, rich, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was inviting and relaxed, making it the perfect spot for a memorable meal. Highly recommend, especially if you're looking for top-notch service and fantastic food. Thank you, Gesi and Simion, for making our visit so enjoyable!

This was a quick stopover on the way home, so expectations were low. We went in and it turned out to be a really nice restaurant and the food was really good. I had the crème chicken, which was so good with the asparagus pieces. Mocktails are 10/10 too. I had the Gina colada 🤤

This Turkish restaurant is amazing! I’m from the central London which I can tell that it’s impeccable compared to all Turkish London restaurants I’ve ever tried in London. The meat is extremely juicy and palatable, which perfectly suitable for no matter British or Chinese appetite!!! We ordered its just for two and the portion was very impressive. Definitely will try again when backing to Watford!

We visited OPUZ Kitchen to celebrate my brother’s birthday, and I must say, the experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The customer service is genuinely some of the best I’ve encountered – warm, attentive, and truly focused on making our evening memorable. The staff went out of their way to make the birthday celebration feel extra special, and we really appreciated the personal touches. The food was delicious – full of authentic flavors, beautifully presented, and served promptly. From the starters to the mains, everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. The ambiance also deserves a mention – it’s stylish yet cozy, making it a perfect setting for both special occasions and casual meals. That said, I do have a couple of small suggestions for improvement: • It would be a lovely touch to offer complimentary Turkish tea after meals, as is customary in many similar restaurants. It adds a cultural charm and rounds off the dining experience beautifully. • The quality of the chips doesn’t quite match the high standard of the rest of the menu or the overall vibe. A slight upgrade here would bring everything in line perfectly. All in all, OPUZ Kitchen delivers an exceptional dining experience. We’ll definitely be returning – highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service. A solid 5/5!

As a customer who keeps coming back.. this time I felt the food quality went bit down from past few visits. Went with friends for my birthday and as always staff is extremely kind and attentive, special shout out for the staff as they sang the birthday song for me so louldly and with full on energy. Loved it. Although I want to add that I was a bit disappointed with the food this time, the on the house pitta is no more the previous freshky baked pittas, the vegetarian grill we ordered was really bland and not cooked properly. Borek and other starters were great but main courses were not as yummy as they used to be. Thank you.

We came across this restaurant several years ago. Cinnamon Lodge has become our favourite Watford Indian and we are way overdue to post this review. The selection and quality of their food is consistently of a very high standard and always spiced literally exactly as we ask for. The waiters are friendly but respectful, not overly-familiar, just as it should be. The proprietor is a great guy and keen for feedback. Also, he regularly tries out new dishes and we love that. Prices are reasonable for both food and drink; the wines are great, including some lovely organic choices. There are lots of reasons we keep going back...

Lovely meal with friends. Some really tasty specials that you don’t find in your typical Indian restaurants including a lovely dessert.

Have been coming here for well over a decade, it’s great to see the new owners have once again made it a huge success in the village. The refit looks fantastic and “Insta ready” for the modern age. New menu items of homemade samosas and chicken 65 are excellent and unique in the area. Service is very very good, special thank you to Selim and colleagues for the memorable photos and birthday cake :)

The pizza is surprisingly refreshing and light, it's the proper Italian dough we all love. Starters were ok, small portions for the price. The white house wine is definitely a palatable pairing to your meal. Chocolate dessert with almonds was rich but strangely served with single cream straight out the fridge, as in not whipped but liquid. Strange.

We went to this restaurant because of the positive reviews on Google Maps, and I would say it fully deserves its high rating. All of our food was delious that I didn't know which one was my favourite: starter bread dough was crisp on the outside and soft chewy on the inside, the margherita pizza was great (I felt like I visited Italy again), the coffee ice-cream and the mango sorbet were full of flavour. The lunch menu was good value and I would say the portion is generous. Staff were all very friendly and the restaurant was family friendly.

My husband and I went to Humo for dinner. We had the 3 course dinner menu which was good value. The starters were delicious - ham croquettes and fish tacos. The steak main was unfortunately a little rare in the middle when I had wanted medium rare but was yummy but the pickle salad was underwhelming. The dessert of pistachio tiramisu was delicious! Service - not super attentive but they were nice and had to request condiments, remind them we had ordered wine and was a little slow. Wouldn’t rush to go back here.

Our absolute favourite restaurant in Watford, we’ve been multiple times and never been disappointed. We like to arrive a little early, sit at the bar and have a couple of delicious cocktails at the bar (on happy hour) before taking our table. The menu isn’t extensive, but it doesn’t need to be. The tapas style starters are all on point, personal favourites are the croquetas and gyoza. Main courses also measure up, with the jerk sauce fantastic, and the short rib falling off the bone. Top notch service throughout, and the team really make an effort to create a great vibe in the restaurant.

Visited Humo for the first time today, it has been on my list of restaurants to try for a while and it did not disappoint! We had the Tapas and tried 5 different dishes. To our surprise it was also Happy Hour so we ordered a couple of Strawberry Daiquiries to accompany our meal. If I could give the meal 10/10 I would. The drinks were delicious, each tapas dish was perfect, we particularly enjoyed the bone marrow. The service was superb too. We will be back, I suspect this could quickly become our favourite restaurant in Watford! 🤩

Very high quality food, cooked to perfection and fairly priced with good presentation, staff were friendly and kind in a sleek and romantic restaurant especially at night. Went on a Tuesday evening was very quiet but tasteful music in the background kept a positive atmosphere. The bone marrow was excellent, proper fine dining experience with expected smaller portions but the quality makes up for it.

A brisk walk from my hotel, Hunton, this quaint brunch and smoothie shop was perfect, providing a pleasant atmosphere with a comfortable, homey feel. The brunch menu includes solid options like avacado toast, with poached eggs and generous portions of fruit and yogurt bowls. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. Smoothies were fresh and flavorful, Had the Kale Kick, was a great green smoothie. Overall, it's a nice spot for a casual meal or a refreshing drink.

I came here with my family today and we loved it! The staff were friendly, the place was cozy, and of course the food was delicious. I’d highly recommend this place and will definitely come again ☺️

Proper 5* experience. Food was hot, tasty and presented very well. The service and staff were literally the best I have had in a very long time. Attentive and could not do enough for their customers. We were celebrating a 40th birthday at the venue and it went perfectly. Cannot recommend enough. The mixed platter main, between 2 was just enough and worth doing.

Skewd at The Grove is here for the summer and brings it's Anatolian (Turkish) cuisine to this wonderful location. Based in the walled garden, it has both an outdoor and indoor area. We enjoyed the food as the chef was helpful and made several vegetarian dishes for us. However there are no vegetarian menus and the veg selection is quite limited. It was relatively quiet when we were there during the week and that allowed us to talk comfortably without being disturbed. Several tables, including ours, were there for birthdays and that made for a celebratory atmosphere 🎊🎂🎉. Highly recommend the wrapped beyti and coal fired chillies.. !!

Very good new restaurant option at the grove serving a very creative set of meditareanan dishes. The squids tempuras were a highlight! Excellent taboulé and good Beef option as well. Large choice of sharing dishes that we all enjoyed as a Group dinner! Great service, very attentive Although the place was overcrowded on a saturday night.

Five Stars – A Fantastic Evening! My husband and I were so excited for the Elton Night at Noor Mahal, but when we initially enquired, it was fully booked. The staff were incredibly kind, took our details, and promised to let us know if any availability came up. A few weeks later, to our delight, they called to say they could fit us in – we were so grateful! The night finally arrived after a particularly stressful week at work, and I’ll admit, I had completely forgotten about our booking. But to my surprise, the restaurant called to remind me—something they absolutely didn’t have to do. I was so appreciative because otherwise, we would have lost our deposit! I let them know we’d be there in 15–20 minutes, and despite being late, we were greeted with the warmest welcome. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was buzzing, the staff were all smiles, and Elton was absolutely fantastic. We settled in, and wow—what an incredible few hours! The service was impeccable, the food was delicious as always, and the entertainment was top-tier. The team worked tirelessly throughout the evening, even with another sitting to manage, yet they never stopped smiling. I just want to say a huge thank you to all the staff for making it such a brilliant night. These special themed evenings that they host every few months are a must-visit. Popped up on a Monday so was very quiet. The food was great and service clearly attentive. There were another couple of tables if 4 by the time we left. The decor is a little bland but it's present enough.

Really blown away by the food and service here! The staff introduce themselves and really want to make sure you have a wonderful meal. The food was sublime! The crab meat starter was the nicest Indian starter I've ever had! The okra, saag paneer and coconut rice were phenomenal! Thank you for a fantastic evening and for your kindness and generosity. We had the best time at studio kitchen for my boyfriend’s birthday. The staff made our night! They were all so welcoming and made sure we was happy with our food. We had the sharer platter! It was honestly the best Turkish food we have eaten😍
