Popped up on a Monday so was very quiet. The food was great and service clearly attentive. There were another couple of tables if 4 by the time we left. The decor is a little bland but it's present enough.

Really blown away by the food and service here! The staff introduce themselves and really want to make sure you have a wonderful meal. The food was sublime! The crab meat starter was the nicest Indian starter I've ever had! The okra, saag paneer and coconut rice were phenomenal! Thank you for a fantastic evening and for your kindness and generosity. Highly recommended!

Five Stars – A Fantastic Evening! My husband and I were so excited for the Elton Night at Noor Mahal, but when we initially enquired, it was fully booked. The staff were incredibly kind, took our details, and promised to let us know if any availability came up. A few weeks later, to our delight, they called to say they could fit us in – we were so grateful! The night finally arrived after a particularly stressful week at work, and I’ll admit, I had completely forgotten about our booking. But to my surprise, the restaurant called to remind me—something they absolutely didn’t have to do. I was so appreciative because otherwise, we would have lost our deposit! I let them know we’d be there in 15–20 minutes, and despite being late, we were greeted with the warmest welcome. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was buzzing, the staff were all smiles, and Elton was absolutely fantastic. We settled in, and wow—what an incredible few hours! The service was impeccable, the food was delicious as always, and the entertainment was top-tier. The team worked tirelessly throughout the evening, even with another sitting to manage, yet they never stopped smiling. I just want to say a huge thank you to all the staff for making it such a brilliant night. These special themed evenings that they host every few months are a must-visit. We had already experienced the amazing original Skewd restaurant in Cockfosters and were not disappointed with their pop up at The Grove. Superlative service from the moment we arrived being greeted by charming operations manager Ilyas on arrival who was clearly skilled at his job managing 500 covers this day alone. All the staff were very attentive but Logan was particularly outstanding - so refreshing to meet such a well mannered and polite waitress. Get your bookings in now as this place is going to get busy and be prepared for a top quality Turkish feast. Highly recommended.

Skewd at The Grove is here for the summer and brings it's Anatolian (Turkish) cuisine to this wonderful location. Based in the walled garden, it has both an outdoor and indoor area. We enjoyed the food as the chef was helpful and made several vegetarian dishes for us. However there are no vegetarian menus and the veg selection is quite limited. It was relatively quiet when we were there during the week and that allowed us to talk comfortably without being disturbed. Several tables, including ours, were there for birthdays and that made for a celebratory atmosphere 🎊🎂🎉. Highly recommend the wrapped beyti and coal fired chillies.. !!

Very good new restaurant option at the grove serving a very creative set of meditareanan dishes. The squids tempuras were a highlight! Excellent taboulé and good Beef option as well. Large choice of sharing dishes that we all enjoyed as a Group dinner! Great service, very attentive Although the place was overcrowded on a saturday night.

My husband and I went to Humo for dinner. We had the 3 course dinner menu which was good value. The starters were delicious - ham croquettes and fish tacos. The steak main was unfortunately a little rare in the middle when I had wanted medium rare but was yummy but the pickle salad was underwhelming. The dessert of pistachio tiramisu was delicious! Service - not super attentive but they were nice and had to request condiments, remind them we had ordered wine and was a little slow. Wouldn’t rush to go back here.

Our absolute favourite restaurant in Watford, we’ve been multiple times and never been disappointed. We like to arrive a little early, sit at the bar and have a couple of delicious cocktails at the bar (on happy hour) before taking our table. The menu isn’t extensive, but it doesn’t need to be. The tapas style starters are all on point, personal favourites are the croquetas and gyoza. Main courses also measure up, with the jerk sauce fantastic, and the short rib falling off the bone. Top notch service throughout, and the team really make an effort to create a great vibe in the restaurant.

Had a really delightful evening at Humo on Friday evening. The food was tasty and the ambience was lovely. Customer service was exceptional, we were served by Harry who was so attentive to our needs. We also had a lovely chat with the owner, Prebs, it was so nice to meet the name behind the brand. Would definitely recommend Humo :) thanks for everything!

Very high quality food, cooked to perfection and fairly priced with good presentation, staff were friendly and kind in a sleek and romantic restaurant especially at night. Went on a Tuesday evening was very quiet but tasteful music in the background kept a positive atmosphere. The bone marrow was excellent, proper fine dining experience with expected smaller portions but the quality makes up for it.

What an experience! My fiancé took me here for a birthday lunch. The staff were very attentive, very happy and so lovely! With me having allergies, a chef showed me around on what to avoid . Each chef at each station gave me new tongs to avoid any cross contamination which was very reassuring. Food was delicious. Quality of food was excellent!

A buffet for the hungry ones. There is something for everybody. Salads, charcuterie, seafood and cured fish, fresh sushi, cheeses, indian cuisine, thai, carvery, british, choose your own pasta and sauce combo, pizza, grill steaks, desserts selection, chocolate fountain, ice cream. Huuge, but price is too. £69 plus service charge. Go hungry and enjoy as much as you can eat. I gained 2 kg in one sitting. Seriously, food, service was amazing. Great atmosphere, place is packed. I will go back, making sure i did not eat for a whole day before.

The most expensive buffet in England — but worth it for a special, informal occasion. The setting at The Grove is stunning and romantic, but The Glasshouse itself is more vibrant than intimate. It’s all about exploring fantastic food and trying new things. A great treat for food lovers!

Had an awesome meal today! The cheeseburger was spot on. Super fresh, juicy, and packed with flavour. The chips were insanely good, so crispy, probably some of the best I’ve ever had. Washed it down with an alcohol-free beer, which was such a nice touch to have. The staff were super friendly and made the whole vibe even better. Highly recommend!

Top notch pub, this one. 🔥 Food’s fresh as anything and the beer’s lovely and cold - just what you want on a proper spring day. Bit of sunshine in the beer garden, chilling on the outdoor decking with a pint in hand - can’t beat it. Great spot for a natter with your mates and not a care in the world. No bells and whistles, just a good old British boozer doing it right. Spot on!

Friendly staff and engaging locals, good food and dog friendly. If you're going to The Harry Potter Studios tour and are a bit early I heartily recommend it. Also they do pie of the day! And whilst I didn't have it today anywhere that has a POTD is a win in my book.

Delicious food paired with attentive waiting staff made for a nice night out here. I went for the classic chicken burger which was delicious, then the sticky toffee pudding which didn’t disappoint. Our server Piper treated us excellently and was always on top of things. We will be coming back again for sure.

The first time here, the roast dinner was very yummy, very filling! Was a bit odd how I got a rectangular plate (which there was a little space to move my food), and my friend had a circular plate. But I always need to have a dessert and a cuppa tea after the big meal!! All staff were welcoming and lovely people.

We had a wonderful meal here a few weeks ago, excuse my terrible picture skills we had the rib eye and a fillet but of which we cooked perfectly. The banoffee pie is possibly one in the best I've had it was delicious. Sarah was our server as she was wonderful, attentive and friendly. Was a lovely evening, highly recommend.

Amazing service. So attentive and friendly!!! Food was good. I enjoyed the burrata and the steak. The pavlova was way too big. It was enough for 3 or 4 people because it was not only huge but it was also very sweet.

Was overall a great night! Food was perfect! Our waiter was what made my night, Sally’s table service was amazing! She greeted us with the warmest smile, Sally was professional but also had a great sense of humour, I work in hospitality myself so to have table service like we did really made my night even more special. Went for the new years eve set menu Got placed by a super loud family with children by Nicole and the kids was far too much, wouldn't say it spoilt our evening but would of spoilt many others Jordan was superb a great member of staff was super attentive and helpful the food was decent enough wasn't dissatisfied however we was one of very few who topped the service we was provided and would of been nice if we got a better table

Decent local Abbots pub. Friendly staff snd atmosphere. Big dining area and bar. Pizza deal is good. Lots of outdoor seating.

Booked last minute for Mother’s Day (oops) and was not disappointed. Food was incredible roast beef and lamb both just amazing with a great portion size too! Lovely place friendly staff and great pricing.

Great pub with food that’s actually good—no soggy fries here! The atmosphere is buzzing with energy & the service? Spot on. The staff is like your cool friend who always knows what's up. But... the noise. Can be a bit much a “background hum” as it is a “full-on festival” where you’ll need to shout to ask for the bill but thats Saturday night Still, with a pint in hand & a plate of surprisingly excellent food, you might just start shouting your new favourite song, too. It's worth it for the vibe, but bring earplugs if you're trying to have a deep conversation. Good food & Definitely be back with friends & family for lunches & dinner.
