Great atmosphere, beautiful food, and friendly staff! It was nice to sit out in the garden on a semi-sunny day and make the most of our British Summer. Absolutely nothing to complain about on our visit today. The portions were spot on, the food was properly cooked and well presented, and the times between courses weren't anything out of the ordinary. Will definitely return in the future and recommend to friends!

If you're looking for a Sunday roast, this is the place. We parked up and then went for a rather muddy hour walk around the area before coming back for lunch. By far the best roast I've ever had out. Potatoes were crispy, meat was delicious, even the veg were great. Lovely pub feel to it.

We had a fantastic meal on Sunday for my son's 18th birthday. The service was outstanding, the food was outstanding. All the starters, main meals and dessert all came out when they should of done, we weren't rushed into eating when we arrived at the pub either. This was for a party of 20 and I can honestly say I will definitely be returning for another meal there as soon as possible. Thank you for an amazing time x

Fantastic pods with lighting and heating in the garden. Theme nights so Thurs is curry night. Thai or madras this week. I choose Thai it was so tasty and delicious. My partner had madras and it wasn't too hot. Served with rice, naan, small pickles and little salad. That topped off the portion in a bowl perfectly. Wooden framed Pods were Well lit and warm. Lovely setting with hale bails else where in area really set it off even had a duck visit us too. Will be booking again ASAP.

Been here a few times as a change of scenery to Bishop's Stortford for a Sunday dog walk & always pop in here after for a snack & a liquid refreshment. Food menu is fresh, homemade & yummy. Fantastic friendly service & very homely

A beautiful village pub run by welcoming and friendly staff. The food was superb, cannot fault anything about it. Beautiful outside dining and drinking area surrounded by a very well-kept garden. It has a small car park on the front and another to the rear of the building. A must visit for anyone, highly recommended.

Wonderful pub, extremely friendly staff, excellent food, nice cosy atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our Saturday lunchtime meal. We had a classic prawn cocktail, Sausages and mash and the beef wellington. They were all excellent. We will definitely be back !

Fantastic food as always from Darren and his family! Food, atmosphere and service perfect as always. A special thank you to the salad plate however. You think of everything when it comes to the delightful old skool kidney side plate. It’s such a joy to eat! Please do not change the items on there nor the cute plate (carrots, egg, coleslaw, shredded greens, red onion, tomato, cucumber). My family of six recently dined in at SONA after ordering it for takeaway over the last few months, and it was an experience that delighted us. My journey to this restaurant began when I tried a few of their dishes while visiting friends who had hosted us for dinner. The flavours were so exquisite that I knew I had to bring my family, who are all avid lovers of Indian cuisine, to savour the delights that SONA had to offer. From the moment we walked in, the staff at SONA displayed exceptional kindness and hospitality. They began by asking if we had any food allergies, a thoughtful touch that immediately set a positive tone for our dining experience. The menu was impressive, with various meat, fish, veggie and vegan dishes to cater to our diverse dietary preferences. I appreciate that the staff were accommodating when we requested to have all our dishes served together, a gesture they willingly did without hesitation, given that we ordered our main and starters. This attention to detail was truly appreciated. What made SONA stand out was its modern and innovative twist on traditional Indian food. The menu featured unique items such as the Naga Naan, which quickly became a family favourite, which my parents have to order with their SONA order every week. Another standout was the SONA Naan, a gently spicy naan with honey that offered a delightful blend of flavours that surprised and pleased our taste buds. We appreciated the restaurant's commitment to providing something different and exciting. Although we were eager to capture photos of our delicious meals, the temptation to dig in was too strong, and we couldn't resist indulging in the food immediately. Among the dishes we sampled, the Fiery King Prawns left a lasting impression. They struck the perfect balance between sweet and spicy, a testament to their exceptional flavour. The Kolkata Wings, a delightful fusion of mango and spice, were heavenly. They disappeared from our plates so quickly that we ordered another portion without hesitation. The Chicken Tikka was another standout, exuding freshness and authenticity. I also had the opportunity to taste a bit of the Sikander Lamb, ordered by my sister, which was both flavourful and tender. Overall, I highly recommend SONA to anyone seeking a remarkable dining experience or even for takeaway. We've been ordering every week since visiting, and it's become a family weekend staple. Had a meal in at Sona with my wife and 2 year old and we all had a fantastic meal. The food was top class and looked wonderful as you can see in the picture. The curry dishes were flavourful and spicy which we like and my little boy really enjoyed the potatoes. The restaurant is small but this adds to the atmosphere as the design is so contemporary and sleek. It feels less like a traditional curry house and more like a high end London restaurant but with fair and reasonable prices. Can't wait to eat there again!

Had a wonderful lunch there last week. Food was amazing, had a duck salad, and the children's food was very high quality too. There's table service for ordering, and when busy- which is likely around peak times due to popularity, you'll get a buzzer so you can browse the extensive shop. The shop has a huge selection of premium foods both fresh and frozen ( the frozen in particularhas a wide selection of items that can be purchased by weight) and home items like candles & crockery. Added a photo of the food, will definitely be back again, and will book ahead next time.

Lovely little farm shop with a variety of bits and pieces. The owners were lovely and friendly. We didn't try the cafe this time but will be visiting again soon. They have some animals and play equipment too.

Comfortable sittings and good breakfast options. The food quality is good. Coffee is serving hot and fast, but the taste is average. I recommend the breakfast, and they provide gluten-free toast. There are many vegetable options and own brand pale ale. Came back second time for early dinner with kids, the food is good. I enjoyed my burger and fish and chips - gluten free option is great too. Few options for gluten free dessert such as the toffee pudding is great.

This is a nice little country pub. Service is very good (the woman at the bar was really nice), the Christmas decorations are very nice (specially the Christmas town they have built up), and it is very cosy. The Sunday Roast was delicious, it tasted like homemade, but the starters were quite poor. I would say they should improve the product.

We booked here as a group of 10 whilst away on a hen do. Staff were very accommodating, opening the kitchen later to enable us to be served. There were clearly regulars in the pub. They wanted to chat and help to make us feel welcome. The food was delicious, although I was a bit disappointed I didn't have room for dessert. I would definitely return here if in the area.

This vibrant village pub is in a great location on the Green with outdoor tables . Plenty of tables inside for dining . The food exceeds expectations- superb hadddock , amazing Pork Tomahawk ( quite a spicy sauce ) . Good sized servings . It seems the reputation for great food is well deserved.Atmosphere buzzing on a Friday and Saturday evening. Booking needed it would seem. Service friendly and efficient even with it being so busy. A special place ! Prices reasonable for the quality.

Lunchtime meet up here with family as a halfway house for us all, it turned out nice too so sat outside before meal. Good choice of beers to suit all tastes my favourite craft. Staff welcome was very friendly and loads of smiles. There were ten of us and we had a good table. The food was amazing and very large portions I had starter of Charcuterie board and main of Pork Tomahawk with warm savoy slaw which was amazing, I was last one finishing as huge meal, consequently no desert for me but I would have had the cheese board looked fabulous.

We went for dinner here on Friday the 13th, and we had the most amazing time! There was live music which we didn't realise at the time and it was really good. The food has changed since we last came, so they must have new chefs. When I say it's changed I mean it has massively improved, so I highly recommend this pub if you're looking for delicious food, good drinks and a great atmosphere this is the one. It seems they are doing lots of events so we will be looking out for those and sure to come along again.

We always really enjoy our visits to the Falcon, the food and drinks are just great! So is the service, always very friendly and welcoming! A week or so ago, I attended a masterclass with chef Kieren. If you like great food and want to learn more, I can only recommend spending a few hours in the Falcon’s kitchen! A great experience! We had a beautiful Sunday lunch. The beef, and all the veg and yorkshire, were perfect, as was the chocolate fondant dessert. Really friendly staff - attentive but never intrusive and in a beautiful building. The best I've had for as long as I can remember and no more expensive. Just wish we lived near enough to come regularly. Thank you.

Thank you so much to the Peppermill team for a wonderful mother's day. We were a group of 11 adults and two young children. The food and Service was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, all our requests were dealt with a smile. All the mums on the table were given a giftbag with roses, chocolate and either a bottle of gin, sole gin and tonic, what a lovely thing to do. We hold all our family get-together there and that's been a few, never been disappointed. It's a real gem of a restaurant to visit, highly recommended. Thank you!

Delicious food, great service. Wish we could have stayed longer but that's impossible with a toddler and a baby! They were very accommodating and welcoming which doesn't always happen when you turn up with children so it's brilliant to have found somewhere we can comfortably go was a whole family. Came here before Christmas as well for a girls' night out and the food and service was so good I knew I had to come back in the new year with my partner. Very glad I did!

We came here on the recommendation of a friend and we are so glad we did. Buntingford is very small so finding somewhere with this level of quality of food & service is unusual but very welcome. Essentially it's Tapas but not specifically Spanish. However the portions are bigger than your average Tapas so be careful with how much you order as you can always ask for more. All the dishes we tried were superb but in particular the Flat iron steak sharer was particularly good and very good value. In fact it was probably the best value on the menu as my only gripe and why I gave for stars, is because the prices of each dish are a little too much. Some are the cost of a main that you would find in another restaurant so it can get expensive. Overall though it's a great little find in a beautiful old building. The service from the staff was superb but in particular our main waitress Molly was one of the best servers I've encountered in a long while. Such a pleasant young lady who is always smiling and so polite

Staff are amazing polite funny professional. The food is out of this world. Will recommend to all I know an even the ones I don't. 10 out of 10 There wasn't a free table here on Wednesday evening. Will be back.
