Kumon has been fantastic for my two girls. Me eldest started (now 10) about 4 years ago and I'm so pleased she did, the confidence she has now his brilliant. Her mental arithmetic it top of the class, especially her times tables which she nailed within a few months or doing them every day. I would recommend any parent who wants to boost their child's confidence to give Kumon a try, it's daily maths sheets which take no longer than 20 mins and it means you as a parent don't have to worry trying to find all sorts of resources to help them. My youngest (8) has being do it for a year now and we are also seeing big benefits for her too.

Our daughter started Kumon maths because she was falling behind in school and getting into the "I can't do maths' mindset. From a starting point where simple arithmetic was a challenge she is now doing algebra! Sally and her team are friendly, patient and encouraging. Gently building confidence and, when the child is ready, stretching them to achieve more. During lockdown we also started Kumon English which our daughter thoroughly enjoyed and it was easy to see how her comprehension improved. We would, without hesitation, recommend Sally and Kumon.

At the beginning of year one, I was told my daughter is a bright child, but struggles with new concepts in maths, and that it might affect her future. At that point we contacted Sally, who came to our home, assessed the girls, and then set them appropriate levels of work to start at. She is wonderful with them, and made them feel comfortable right from that very first meeting. My youngest daughter started with number formation, which, as the youngest in her school year was a skill she still needed to develop. Now, just about to go into year two, she is doing column addition and times tables, having just turned 6 last week! My eldest is now going into year three, and from a child that was very nervous about maths, and would do anything to avoid it, she is a very different student. She's full of confidence, relishes a new challenge, and now doing work at Kumon that is a year above her work at school. Sometimes it's hard for her, but with Sally's support and guidance she now looks at problems (not only in maths) in a different way - instead of 'I can't do this', she now thinks about what she does know, and how she can apply it. I can not recommend the Kumon program with Sally highly enough!

We've only been at Kumon for just under 3 months, and there is vast improvement in my sons maths already. Highly recommend.

I'm so pleased that my son is studying Maths and Physics A Level at YoungEducation Stevenage. It's only been possible as he trusts and really 'clicks' with his tutors, both of whom have a great knowledge of their subjects - and can convey that knowledge to Ewan (the tricky part!).

Young education have got alternative provision spot on! My son is learning so much, and has that social interaction with peers there too. The staff and teachers are so friendly and completely understanding of neurodiversity. My son’s confidence shot up when he started here (following a really awful time at a previous school). The perfect blend of education and social interaction was just what he needed to transition him into starting a new school following his time here. I can’t thank them enough!

We are very happy to see how our child in year 3 is progressing along since joining Stefanie's classes. We only have the experience of online classes since joining, due to lockdown and it's been very engaging. Looking forward to the in-person classes once everything reopens.

I have a 14 and a 9 year and to be fair i am so useless at maths that i cant help either if them. But Stefanie and her team can. Just what we needed. Stef was there during covid doing on line lessons, keeping them up to date. The classroom is friendly and welcoming with easy to understand homework that actually makes it fun. Parents evenings/afternoons, newsletters and a number of different ways to get in touch if there are any concerns. Very happy indeed and will be keeping both in up to and including GCSE and SATS. 100% recommend

My son has been working with his Tutor for about 3 years now and has come on leaps and bounds in his confidence. He is now so calm when discussing maths problems with anyone and his maths grades have improved significantly. He says that she explains things so clearly and breaks it down into understandable chunks so that he finds it easier to remember principles. She took him back to basics and has explained everything so that he understands why you work problems out the way you do not just the method. So his understanding and breaking down the maths problem is so much easier. He really has grown in his belief in himself and I believe her assistance in his maths teachings are a fundamental part of this. Such a friendly and supportive tutor company. We have used a few of the tutor sessions 1-1 and group over the last 2 years, Maths and Sciences. Georgina is very hands on. My daughter was not keen on having a tutor but we agreed to give it a try for a few sessions. A year later she is now sad that her weekly meet ups with Georgina for GCSE Maths have ended. My daughter was tutored by Jo for GCSE Combined Science (Higher Paper). Lessons took place on Zoom which was very convenient. Jo is friendly and approachable and is able to cater for the student’s specific needs. The sessions always provided the clarity and explanation my daughter needed and really helped her to have confidence in sitting her exams. The helpful (and colourful!) notes that Jo provided at the end of each session were a fantastic resource for revision too. I would highly recommend Jo without hesitation.
