We made the best decision to send our child to this centre. With anxiety issues my child was facing at school, attending this centre has made my child very confident. He is not the same anymore. He struggled with Maths at school and hated going to school to avoid maths. Since he has received the extra support from tuition, Maths is now his favourite subject and he is going amazing! His school reports are also outstanding. I highly recommend this centre for tuition. It has amazed me and the staff members are extremely supportive and welcoming. They are great at building relationships with children and that really helps with confidence. Well done everyone at this centre!

I wanted to sing the praises of Katie Cohen at Magic Link who is a fantastic teacher based in borehamwood. My 8 year old has struggled with handwriting, been in intervention groups at school and we’ve practiced extensively at home. But none of this has made such an impact on his writing as the last 5 months of lessons with Katie. Katie makes the lessons fun and engaging and my son looked forward to them every week. I think the results speak for themselves. I’m so glad that we took the leap.

My 8 year old son’s handwriting improved immensely in such a short space of time! My son absolutely loved going to Katie’s Magic Link handwriting classes each week and was sad when he completed all of them as he was going to miss Katie and her fun and amazing classes. My daughter is in Year 4 and took the magic link course with Katie to improve her handwriting. Joel was initially very quick to respond and listen to the requirements for my daughter. He put in place Emma to to assist and she helped my daughter lift her grade from an E at the mocks to a B in the real A Level. This was more than enough to help her achieve the required UCAS points for her first choice university, so would definitely recommend.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Joel and his team. Our daughter Emily has missed a lot of school due to ill health, and we were increasingly concerned about her forthcoming GCSEs - as was she. Joel cares deeply about the students who study with him, and I've found him to honest, passionate and with exceptionally high integrity. I had to persuade him to take Emily on as she is neurodivergent and we needed a tutor who was prepared to work with cameras off. Joel listened, found the right people in his team for my daughter, and over the past few months Emily has been working with a wonderful team of tutors who have really helped build both her confidence and her skills. They fully deserve their five star ratings. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I was looking for some more guidance on GCSE revision for my son and came across these guys. I was hesitant at first due to the cost but figured if it helped him to achieve 1 or 2 grades improvement on any of his subjects it would be worth it. The school he is at is disappointing to say the least and I felt I owed him this. He had several consultations with Ellis and feels more confident it what revision he is doing, how much revision he is doing and where his head is at when he is doing his revision. I am happy my son is following the ILS schedules and methods and also feel confident he will be in the right mindset to take on the month of exams approaching. He deserves to be accepted to the college of his choice but only his hard work will tell. Ellis was my son’s dedicated coach, and he was very polite, patient and knowledgable and clicked with my son very quickly, enabling Rachel (mind set coach) was also very good at making sure he was in the right frame of mind to tackle revision and exam time. I would say, this strategy programme can only help my son gain better grades , which is totally worth it in my eyes. I would definitely recommend this programme. 10/10

Our son has enjoyed being part of Imogen’s tutoring class for the past two years. The variety and stretch that Imogen’s lessons have provided have helped him progress both his maths and verbal reasoning skills, in preparation for his 11+ exams this year. Imogen has always been approachable and willing to provide open feedback on where our son needs to focus and put in extra work, all of which has helped us support him as we approach his tests.

Imogen is incredible. We are an ND home educating family and our daughter has been out of education for 2 years. Belle is a fabulous tutor, she got me into my dream university. Belle pushed me to strive for an A, as a C grade student which I was able to get a A from. I couldn’t recommend Belle enough. When I started with her in September, I was really nervous and apprehensive about getting a tutor but decided to at least try one session - it’s safe to say she immediately made me feel at ease. She helped me so much with confidence, approach to different questions, general attitude and the maths itself. Both the 1-1 and group sessions were a perfect balance of having a laugh and chatting, and also head down working, which made the sessions so much more enjoyable and motivating. Belle really offered a listening ear whenever I was struggling, and couldn’t have been more accommodating with my learning difficulties. Another amazing thing about Belle was that if I didn’t understand something, she would approach it from a different angle and explain it in a different way which was something I’d never had from a teacher before as feel that usually a teacher would just explain it in the same way again, but Belle was different in this sense which really helped me learn certain concepts in a lot more depth and faster. My daughter was not doing so well in Eng and Maths. Since she started her Kumon journey I could see a big difference in terms of using new words, speaking amd writing more grammatically, quick in counting and use of diff mathematical applications. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to support their kids especially for parents who are busy and can't get enough time to sit with kids to teach! He tutors in Borehamwood are very friendly with the kids and quick to respond to any concerns:) The teachers are very kids friendly and respond to parent concerns very quickly.

Hedy is fantastic and my 5 year old son has been enjoying learning and practising the worksheets at Kumon and at home. It’s a huge help to always have contact when I have questions about the app and to learn about his progress each week after his session at Kumon. It’s really helped to build his confidence and keep him a step ahead.

Highly recommend the Elstree Kumon centre run by lovely Hedy. The attention she gives my children is second to none, even going the extra mile by visiting us in our home when help is needed. She treats the kids like her own, and takes real pride in excelling the knowledge of the children. Super highly recommended!

Kumon is a great program for building math and reading skills. It promotes independence but requires daily commitment and may feel repetitive for some. Overall, it’s a structured and effective option for academic support.

I started my maths journey with Sandra as an adult after failing Maths when at school and feeling very uncertain about my maths capabilities. Sandra was very patient and made everything seem so simple. She started with the basics and made a really strong foundation to build onto the more complex and abstract maths. Going into the exam I felt very confident and actually finished the non calculator exam in 30 minutes ( I should have listened to Sandra and took the advance paper) and achieved a top grade 5! Thanks to Sandra helping me to achieve a maths GCSE not only will I be starting a nursing degree in a few weeks time but I have also found a love for maths which has inspired my teenage daughter, who I also hope will be a student of Sandra. We strongly recommend St Albans Maths Tutors! Jae worked with our son to support his aim to improve his GCSE grade after a challenging experience in Year 10. With a structured approach and a great understanding of our son’s needs and how to make him tick we saw a big improvement in his confidence and attitude to the subject.
