We started with Learn Happy so that our girl could build confidence, speed and stamina in her work and she has definitely achieved in all these area. Her mind set is stronger, she believes more in her ability and her ideas. She is braver with her work and not afraid to get things wrong. Having encouragement and support from Kate has definitely make her see that work can be fun. She loved the other children in her small group and learnt so much from them Thank you very much.

My 9 year old daughter completed the creative writing summer course in July 2022 and really enjoyed it! She says “I learned about lots of different inventions and inventors and it inspired my writing. Kate was very encouraging and helped me improve my writing.” The learning environment is very welcoming and nurturing and Kate is professional and personable. We had good feedback on her progress after the course ended. My daughter has weekly maths lessons at Learn Happy but would happily do any lessons if she could! Thank you.

Kate, has created a wonderful learning environment and provided my daughter with the confidence to thrive at school. I am eternally grateful for all of the group and one on one support Kate has provided! Feedback is regular and thorough, and she is even patient enough to answer queries from struggling parents. Olly supported my son, who did his GCSE maths this June. The tutoring was fun and engaging whilst being student-led regarding what topics to cover each session. The reliable, consistent follow-ups on the same evening as the tutoring sessions were also invaluable. My son achieved a grade 6 and is now going on to do AS Core Maths, and Olly played a massive part in this as Maths was not his favourite subject! 100% recommend.

Outstanding teaching. The tuition worked well with our son, who has a number of SEN difficulties. Through tutoring our son is now back on track with his learning. The tutoring worked fantastically both in-person and on-line. Highly recommended!

My son has SEN, his tutor spent time getting to know and understand him initially in order to gain his trust. She is a patient and understanding teacher who knows how to pitch the lessons in order to keep him engaged. My son enjoys his lessons with her and has significantly improved his learning since starting.

My daughter's started Kumon classes 4 months ago now and they are enjoying it very much. The booklets have helped them improve their maths and English already. Judy, the tutor is a lovely person. Judy made my girls feel very welcome and they're always happy to go into the centre to do their booklets. Judy has always been available when I have needed to speak to her. My 2 boys of 10 and 8 were really struggling with the work that school gave them since lockdown. I contacted Judy at Kumon in Hemel and she set up an assessment for them on Zoom. I was very impressed at how well she was able to assess their ability and their gaps in maths and English. She very quickly prepared a programme of study and it arrived by post the next day. I can't say my boys love doing the work but when they're older they will DEFINITELY be grateful for how Kumon has helped them. Highly recommend, especially whilst the kids have no school.
