Been to a few different hairdressers in Hemel and never been truly happy until I found Rachel's. Now I won't ever go anywhere else. The staff are so lovely and talented and I always come out with a smile and feeling fabulous. They've now got a customer for life

Fabulous hairdressers. Staff are really friendly, helpful and full of good advice. I have visited a few times now to get my haircut and get my roots done after always using a box dye previously, I wasn't made to feel bad and 100% recommended this salon. Rachel is honestly a miracle worker! I went in with really damaged hair and in need of some serious colour correction, Rachel could not have been nicer about it, never made to feel bad for any previous hair mistakes and she did absolutely everything to help me. She takes real care an attention to look at the health of your hair as well and offers great advice. Shes managed to turn the worst my hair has looked into the absolute best and I could not be happier- thank you so much!

I booked in for Rachel to correct a bad haircut I'd had elsewhere. I was dubious and didn't think much could be done, but I was wrong. She worked miracles. I've had sooo many compliments on the new haircut. Even my regular colour tech was super impressed with the cut. I'm so grateful to Rachel and will definitely be back.

I’ve been going to Four Hair Design for over 13 years, and I can honestly say I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. Graham’s cuts are always flawless—clean, stylish, and perfectly suited to what I want (even when I’m not exactly sure what that is myself). He’s incredibly knowledgeable and has consistently given me great advice on how to take care of my hair, helping me keep it healthy and looking its best over the years. On top of being a fantastic stylist, he’s also genuinely kind and easy to talk to. Every appointment feels like catching up with a good friend, which makes the whole experience even better. Karla is incredible at what she does!! I was tired of having banding from previous hairdressers and harsh re growth. I was recommended Karla! She creates a really soft blend eliminating harsh re growth allowing me much longer between colours. She also educates you on how to keep the colour vibrant and hair healthy. Would highly recommend!

I met Karla Osborne through the Grey Blending Expert Directory compiled by Rosie Baylis Hair. Karla and I had a Zoom consultation, where I felt listened and heard, and I was confident that she knew what my hair required. At our appointment I was so relaxed due to Karla’s welcoming, professional and reassuring manner. She explained exactly what she was going to do to remove my yellow brassy tones and help me embrace my grey and silver ones! The transformation took almost 5 hours and was skilfully executed at every step. The end result is a triumph, I am so delighted with the colour, cut and style. We have 3 more appointments booked in the diary this year and I’m beyond grateful to have found such a wonderful grey blending practitioner.

Karlas grey blending transformation has been amazing for me, to have someone essentially hold my hand whilst I make this change in life has been priceless. I'm currently in the process of growing my hair out and thought I'd try going to a hairdresser for the first time. The Open staff were really hospitable and made me feel like I was right at home. It was nice to see such a warm environment from the moment I walked into the place. It felt like a whole experience, which I rarely get with the barbers I normally went to. As for the haircut itself, it was amazing. Ben walked me through the different areas of my hair, what looked great and what needed to be polished up. He paid attention to everything I was saying and was able to add on to the vision I had. I couldn't have been happier with the result, hand on heart the best haircut I've gotten. Worth every penny. I don't normally write reviews this in-depth but they honestly deserve it. Will definitely be coming back here in the future, much thanks to all the staff! My hair was made by Amy Lilly today and wooow she is brilliant. Not only a kind person but also a very talented hairdresser. Amazing service! Managed to get a last minute booking online.. i was wash, cut and blow dried by Ben. He really took the time to listen to what I wanted, was meticulous with each stage and even took the time to answer any questions I had for in-between salon visits. As a result, I’m very happy with my shorter hair! In addition their team was super helpful and inviting too. Thank you so much, definitely coming back! 😊

Lovely little salon. Eloise is an amazing hair stylist, she listens and understands what you need then talks you through what she is going to do and checks you’re happy with everything. I love my haircut and enjoyed the whole experience with nice coffee, nice chat, lovely hair wash, I couldn’t recommend more! And all for £18 - what more could a girl want?!? Thanks so much Eloise!

Jess is in training and at only 17 she was fantastic. Carefully considering what she did, asked when she needed to for help and advice. Her teacher was brilliant at guiding her through and building her confidence. I can't wait to come back in 10 weeks for my next cut.

I was booked in with Kaitlynn who is doing an apprenticeship with the studio. From the minute I arrived I was made to feel comfortable, Kaitlynn checked the condition of my hair, we spoke about what I wanted, I was looking for long layers, a good trim up and a new fringe cut in to the style. Kaitlynn washed, cut and dried my hair and curled it for me, I am absolutely over the moon with my new style. Fantastic service from start to finish, very professional at all times, can't wait to book with Kaitlynn again, will recommend to family and friends.

Have been going to the Lash Lounge in Hemel Hempstead for over 2 years for lash extensions. It is a beautiful salon with a classy decor. It has a relaxed atmosphere with friendly and cheerful staff. On my first visit I was introduced to Chelsea Lewis. As my lashes are very short it did not phase her and she applied my first set with great skill. She is a first class technician and I have all my appointments with her.

I had a LVL with soraya, she done an incredible job and I love my lashes. They are so long, which is what I wanted. Cannot wait to book in again with her. Thanks very much! ☺️

I have been going to The Lash Lounge in Hemel every 2 weeks for about 18months now. Saffron has always done my lashes there and knows exactly how I like them and always does a fabulous job. She feels like an old friend who I can talk freely about my life to too, with no judgement so I come away with fab lashes as well as having put the world to rights! Highly recommend xx

Very pleased with how my eyebrows have turned out since I started coming to RIDDH’s I’m very particular on my shape and she always understands what I want. I have recently started new treatments and couldn’t be happier with the results, she is very calm and welcoming.

Bhumika Is genuinely one of the sweetest beauticians I’ve ever experienced. I regularly get my eyebrows done with her and she always makes me feel at ease, she’ll check in at various stages and make sure I like everything, unlike some other beauticians who will do what they like and only check at the end when it is too late. She also provides great aftercare and advice. I recommend her to everyone I know because I know she won’t let them down.

Bhumika is the loveliest beautician I’ve gone to! She’s got a warm and gentle approach and my eyebrows look amazing every time I leave. She really takes her time and dedicates herself to getting the best outcome. The massage at the end relieved my headache I’ve been having all day and she gives such a helpful tips. I feel very much at ease and comfortable in her place and could recommend it to everyone!

I have been to nutmeg many times and I’ve never been disappointed they always deliver the best treatments, the girls are really friendly and you always come away so relaxed! Looking forward to next time! I can recommend the Shirodhara Balinese hair ritual. So relaxing.

I have had many massages over the years from many different salons but this was the best massage I have ever had. I'm not local to the salon but I'll definitely be returning here soon. Yesterday I treated myself to the sun salutation escape package for my birthday… it was unbelievable. Everyone was so helpful, friendly and polite when I first walked in. I needed to use the toilet, which was stocked with products such as deodorant, sanitary products, hairbrush etc. Katie carried out all my treatments with the highest level of professionalism, care and consideration. She used the perfect amount of pressure with all her massage techniques. My facial was heavenly. I even had some waxing done before hand, which she did brilliant too. Overall, it was the best birthday treat I bought myself. Thank you so much ladies, hope to see you again soon!

Have been using the salon for a while now, it’s easy to do a first review but ongoing reviews for excellent service are a little harder. Not here! Amy is amazing, she listens to the leave this bit long but cut my hair convo’s, understands what you want, talks you through what she thinks and carries it out to perfection. Joel is a magician with the head massages and helpful hints on how to look after your hair. You won’t go wrong with either of these two 🫶🏻

My son Adam had his hair cut by Connor. Connor took the time to listen to how Adam wanted his hair and kept checking on him throughout. A really relaxed and friendly place to go.

I cannot rate Lacey Brown hair and beauty HIGHLY ENOUGH. I have been going there for many years and always come away with a fabulous hair style and feeling young again. The Team are all gorgeous and cannot do enough to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. I love the fact that I never feel marginalised by my OAP status but are always included in the fun and laughter which are a regular feature of my visits, which I always look forward to

I've been coming to Lacey's salon since 2021, everyone is so genuine, lovely and friendly. The atmosphere is always happy and bubbly, everyone is kind and they couldn't be more accommodating if they tried. Despite my spending 5+ hours in the chair I genuinely look forward to my visit because I know I'll be looked after and have a fab time chin-wagging away. The salon really goes above and beyond, and blow the 'standard' hairdresser experience out the water. Hot/cold beverages, even caramel iced coffee (with biscoff of course), foot rests, hair treatments, scalp massages, you name it. I used to hate going to the hairdressers before Lacey started doing my hair, I never walked out happy with the result and I found the idle chit-chat and awkward atmosphere uncomfortable at best. The experience is like night and day, not only do I feel like I'm having a 'treat day', but I LOVE my hair every time. If I could afford to come once a month, I would (I have thick hair and a full head of foils, struggle of being platinum blonde - IYKYK). The cut, the colour, the blow-dry and styling is all 10/10. My hair has never been so healthy and I can say with confidence that this salon has a client for life. I'd even travel back down if I moved to Scotland. Thankfully, I don't think that's likely. Lacey's salon is probably one of the few redeeming factors of living in Hemel :)
