My 9 year old daughter completed the creative writing summer course in July 2022 and really enjoyed it! She says “I learned about lots of different inventions and inventors and it inspired my writing. Kate was very encouraging and helped me improve my writing.” The learning environment is very welcoming and nurturing and Kate is professional and personable. We had good feedback on her progress after the course ended. My daughter has weekly maths lessons at Learn Happy but would happily do any lessons if she could! Thank you.

Kate's Creative Writing summer course was a huge hit with my daughter. With Kate's enthusiasm and clever ideas, my daughter developed her punctuation, comprehension and editing skills, as well as her use of different adjectives and adverbs. My daughter's started Kumon classes 4 months ago now and they are enjoying it very much. The booklets have helped them improve their maths and English already. Judy, the tutor is a lovely person. Judy made my girls feel very welcome and they're always happy to go into the centre to do their booklets. Judy has always been available when I have needed to speak to her. My 2 boys of 10 and 8 were really struggling with the work that school gave them since lockdown. I contacted Judy at Kumon in Hemel and she set up an assessment for them on Zoom. I was very impressed at how well she was able to assess their ability and their gaps in maths and English. She very quickly prepared a programme of study and it arrived by post the next day. I can't say my boys love doing the work but when they're older they will DEFINITELY be grateful for how Kumon has helped them. Highly recommend, especially whilst the kids have no school.

Olly supported my son, who did his GCSE maths this June. The tutoring was fun and engaging whilst being student-led regarding what topics to cover each session. The reliable, consistent follow-ups on the same evening as the tutoring sessions were also invaluable. My son achieved a grade 6 and is now going on to do AS Core Maths, and Olly played a massive part in this as Maths was not his favourite subject! 100% recommend.

Rachel has been tutoring my children in Maths and English for over two years now. She tutored my son for 11+ exams and SATS and helped him excel in maths and writing. In addition, Rachel is a very patient and attentive teacher. My daughter finds it hard to process new information and sit still during lessons, but Rachel continues to keep her focused and motivated to learn. Over the years my daughter has made huge advances in both maths and English. My children absolutely adore having Rachel as their tutor and I would highly recommend her.

I have been studying with Philip since Year 4 and have just accepted an offer to study Paramedicine at University. I had a difficult relationship with maths when I started with Philip as I had a bad experience with my school teachers and I can lose focus easily. Philip made the lessons so much fun and understood what kept my interest so that it didn't feel like a chore! He has seen me through my triple science and maths GCSEs and now my Applied Science BTEC. I also have interests now in science that I never would have had previously - and he has given me so much confidence! Never thought I would miss lessons - but I will miss his!

Our son’s tutor is brilliant, she has a highly personal approach and really takes the time to understand what will help the child. She puts a lot of effort into planning and lessons are very well structured. She also provides regular feedback. My kids are really seeing the benefit.

She is a patient and understanding teacher who knows how to pitch the lessons in order to keep him engaged. My son enjoys his lessons with her and has significantly improved his learning since starting.
