Can’t recommend SJ Motors enough. I’ve been coming here for a while now and it’s always a great experience. Steve, Debbie and team are friendly, honest and really know their stuff. You get that proper family-run feel – they remember your name, explain things clearly, and never try to upsell you things you don’t need. Prices are really fair too, especially compared to some of the bigger garages. It’s rare to find somewhere that feels this trustworthy. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Great service and reasonable price to replace shredded tyre. Shared the tyre info and location over WhatsApp and he was there within 90 minutes and fitted roadside within 5. Communication on timings and cost was also excellent. Made a stressful situation fare easier to deal with.

Excellent garage! Booked car in for clutch and exhaust manifold for around £750 and they done the work in one day. They also fixed the battery clamp and other bits they had come across in the process and it wasn't until months later i even realised. I wanted my car looking over again a few months later and i booked it in for a check over and when i come to pick it up and pay they didn't even bill me and provided me the knowledge of the issue i was having. They are extremely genuine. I will note they are usually very busy so getting a quote or booking can take a while but if your looking for place to have work done properly on your car this small village garage is definitely the place to take it!. I wouldn't say they are cheap by any means but they do the work properly and are honest about the car. Little Gem 💎

Very friendly and helpful man runs the garage, he did work for me on a Saturday with no notice, I called at 830 am! it should of been impossible but he went out of his way to make sure he got my car done by the afternoon. Great service, he kept me informed and updated during the process and without delay the job was done to high standard. I highly recommend this garage, very very happy 👍

My car (MK4 VW Golf) was booked in for a service, the bonnet catch was not working and an intermittent fault with the seat belt alarm. They collected the car first thing in the morning which was great as getting there for me and back would have been a bit of a challenge. They provided an exceptionally efficient service, professional and great value. Brian is a really competent, honest mechanic, who will charge a very reasonable price for any work he does. I'd recommend him to anyone, particularly younger drivers, who may not know much about car problems. He'll get them sorted without breaking the bank..

Brian and his team are brillant. I needed two tyres urgently replacing. Within 24 hours they were ordered and fitted (despite their day already being completely booked out) they squeezed me in). Well after going to see Phil about my issue with gear cables not adjusting, he kindly spent half hour with me diagnosing the fault. I went home and done what he suggested to save me buying new cables for nothing and bam, car is fixed and driving perfect. Absolute gent and a great knowledgeable guy. Highly recommend.

Excellent service - I get my MOT done there every year. There are generally a professional team of mechanics and caring receptionist. However, if you are trying to get there via Google Maps they are not that far from the Volkswagen building in Buntingford.
