Well after going to see Phil about my issue with gear cables not adjusting, he kindly spent half hour with me diagnosing the fault. I brought my car to VR Auto Centre today after another garage quoted me nearly £600 for repairs in order to pass my MOT. Very friendly and helpful man runs the garage, he did work for me on a Saturday with no notice, I called at 830 am! it should of been impossible but he went out of his way to make sure he got my car done by the afternoon. Great service, he kept me informed and updated during the process and without delay the job was done to high standard. I highly recommend this garage, very very happy 👍

After my son left it to the last minute to tell me his MOT was running out that day, I hunted around (on Easter weekend) to find most places were closed, after a quick call VR Auto Centre were able to fit me in last minute. They were totally transparent and honest, they showed me the areas where the car had issues that would deny a fresh MOT and highlighted some areas to watch going forward. We arranged for the work to be done after the Easter break. The car went in, I received pictures of the parts being replaced and an advisory video showing a wheel bearing that was clearly not in great shape advising to do this at the same time to save labour costs. Got the car back this afternoon and it is driving like a dream. I can’t thank the guys at VR Auto Centre enough for their excellent care and attention to detail, along with their first class service too. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a straight up honest garage to look after you and your car.

Just wanted to leave a review for Daniel, I had trouble with a friends van for over 2 hours when collecting a tv for my wife. Broke down on dual carriageway and was parked at a unit. Daniel was on his way home from work but stopped to ask if I was looking for someone. I explained my situation and he said he would try to help me - less than an hour later, he had resolved all the issues and waited till I had got the car started. I was having one of the worst days of my life, and he practically saved the day. People like that give me hope for this world! Thank you so much for your help Daniel, you were amazing!

Excellent garage! Booked car in for clutch and exhaust manifold for around £750 and they done the work in one day. They also fixed the battery clamp and other bits they had come across in the process and it wasn't until months later i even realised. I wanted my car looking over again a few months later and i booked it in for a check over and when i come to pick it up and pay they didn't even bill me and provided me the knowledge of the issue i was having. They are extremely genuine. I will note they are usually very busy so getting a quote or booking can take a while but if your looking for place to have work done properly on your car this small village garage is definitely the place to take it!. I wouldn't say they are cheap by any means but they do the work properly and are honest about the car. Little Gem 💎

I arrived at Bassingbourn Garage with a flat tyre. They were mega busy, but one of the mechanics came out, had a look and said it was a puncture, probably from a pothole. An hour later I drove away with a "repaired" tyre. What a Community based garage it is!! Thank you.

They have recommended better tyres which have made a big difference, they repair and maintain quickly and efficiently. They go out there way to squeeze us in when we have emergencies. My car (MK4 VW Golf) was booked in for a service, the bonnet catch was not working and an intermittent fault with the seat belt alarm. They collected the car first thing in the morning which was great as getting there for me and back would have been a bit of a challenge. They provided an exceptionally efficient service, professional and great value. I will definitely be using them again for all my car needs and have already booked in for a new timing belt and water pump as the car is getting close to 100k.
