I had a fantastic experience with Automotives STA. My car failed its MOT and needed few minor works done. The garage was quoting me too high to repair so I did a quick search on google and found local mobile mechanic who can carry the job out at reasonable price. From the moment I spoke to Mo, I knew he was professional, courteous, and transparent about the work my vehicle needed. He inspected and took the time to explain the issues clearly, provided a fair estimate, and completed the job on time. Most importantly, I felt I could trust him. A rare quality these days. My car is running perfectly, and I will definitely be returning for future maintenance. Highly recommended for anyone looking for honest and skilled automotive repair.

Al came out after I failed my MOT to take my car away and change my tyre and my front disc, he also did a fluid top up for no charge. His communication was great, came out quickly and was really lovely. Not only that but this happened on the 23rd december and he brought my car back the same day. I would definetely recommend and use again.

I was having a few issues with my car and needed a mechanic who could complete the work in a timely manner due to my work schedule. I found Automotives STA as I had heard positive feedback about him and booked my car in. My car was fixed within my timeframe and I was VERY impressed by the work, a couple of other little issues came up and he was able to fix those within the time also which I was very grateful for! My car drop off and pick up was very efficient and easy. Would highly recommend to everyone!

I came in first about seven years ago because quick fit in st albans damaged my vehicle during an mot and tried to charge a fortune to repair it. He gave good advice and tested my vehicle after I repaired it. I take all my vehicles and friends vehicles there for test and dont plan to ever use anyone else. It is about an hour drive from where I live. He has failed a vehicle i have taken there twice. Once because of defective tires, once because of braking efficiency due to corrosion. Both times were absolutely correct, and I would have failed them too. I have had about 15 passes and two fails there. I believe they still offer a free retest within a short period which most people dont do, (but it might change so do ask if youre worried) and they give very good advice. They make money on the mot's by charging a reasonable fee, not by failing vehicles just to get mechanic work. I cannot recommend them enough. They are excellent. But obviously dont expect them to pass it if it isnt safe, because they wont. Just very straight and honest people.

Friendly receptionist to book. Had appts that week and deal with EV for an MOT, unlike one other in village. Local and priced at near the top end for maximum MOT. (who knew MOT isn't fixed but has a maximum charge set by Govn) Efficient and no nonsense dealt with.

Came here after Halfords awful customer service with my MOT. Richard was wonderful, so very helpful, and managed to fit me in the next day. Communication and knowledge were outstanding. It's safe to say I will not be using any other garage in the future, very highly recommended.

Recently my car overheated and heater failed to work on the coldest day and was rescued by green flag. My daughter contacted Old London road garage who were happy to receive my car. Within a short time of arriving they were able to diagnose and quote on the work needed! My car was ready for pick up next morning. Everyone was professional and polite I am really happy with their service and would highly recommend this garage. I will certainly be using them again for my car servicing and MOT.

I booked my car to be looked at, as my engine light was flashing. They looked at it and fixed it the same day. Sent detailed and timely updates, showing the issue there was with the car and provided a very reasonable quote. I would recommend as they provide a friendly, responsive, reasonably priced and quick service, not always easy to fine when looking for garages.

I highly recommend - Paul is really friendly and gets the job done quickly. I've had an MOT and a service here and will be using him again for both, as well as anything else that might come up. I've tried a few mechanics in the immediate area and Paul has been the most approachable and pleasant to interact with. It also helps that it's right around the corner from where I live :)

4 weeks ago, London Road Garage told me that they didn't really know what was wrong with my car and the best thing to do was to sell it!! My car has only done 52,000 miles and has had regular MOTs and Services since I brought it in 2017. I was distraught...I took my car to Guildford Road Motors and they couldn't have been more accomodating. Wow...My car was not ready for the bin at all. They talked to me about various solutions and consulted me every step of the way. My car is now fixed and back to running again. Been using for years, and so had the family. Great reputation and it’s deserved. Great mechanics, very honest and this usually means their prices for completed works are very competitive! Just wish they could fit my van on their premises too for servicing and MOT’s. Highly recommended.

It has taken a while for me to find a good, honest and reasonably priced mechanic in St Albans. Was taking my vehicle to one on Hatfield Road for a time (won't mention names), and the car had some damage to it whilst at thier premesis. Marsh Motors are dependable, cost effective, always happy to explain what the fualt or problem is and fix it with upmost care. I'd highly reccomend them, and will be using them for all my car related issues in the future.

Marsh are just brilliant! I started using them about 15 years ago as they quoted £26 for a broken dash board lid (which they fixed discretely with a bit of wire & glue I think?) rather than the Ford garage who quoted £326 as I needed ‘to replace the whole thing’.
