Really nice waiters they so welcome! Wine taste really great. Meals are wonderfull especially like their chiefs and starters for smoke fish. If it can be more than 5 start it would because each peace in their menus have a nicest taste and flavour. Overall come here you will be amazed!

We had a fantastic dinner here! The interior was beautiful, the servers were all friendly and the food was brilliant. We loved the smoked drink on our table before the food arrived and will definitely return to try more of the menu.

Ordered a takeaway from there and even though it was just for takeaway, I could really appreciate the quality and care that went into the food. It was delicious. I can tell this place really values quality. The pictures I’ve included don’t do the food justice, but trust me, it’s definitely worth trying. Will definitely be back!

This is an outstanding restaurant. I had the tasting menu at a 3 Michelin Star restaurant in Notting Hill 2 weeks ago and Thompson’s food is just as good and much, much better value. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Absolutely the best pizza around! We ordered the pepperoni pizza and were blown away by the quality, the crust was airy with a perfectly crispy bottom, just how authentic Italian pizza should be. The prices are super budget friendly, which makes it a perfect spot for uni students. On top of that, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Absolutely amazing pizza! I had TWO whole pizzas it was so good! And that’s not saying they’re small they’re nice and big! Also - great service, quick to cook the pizzas, and recommended toppings for us and the kids (really helpful). We will be back!

Crispy dosas, fluffy vadas, generous servings, and a never-ending supply — this unlimited dosa and vada experience is a must-try for anyone who loves authentic South Indian flavors. Service was quick, friendly, and surprisingly attentive — they made sure my plate was never empty for long. It’s the kind of place where you walk in hungry and roll out happy (and maybe a little too full!).

Food is very flavourful and big portion sizes. Biriyani feels like home and other starters are also very tasty. Resturant is clean and staff is very helpful. They also have alcohol beverages.

A fine dining restaurant in a lovely old building with beautiful views overlooking a lake. Food quality and presentation is excellent; probably the best in the area. Service now is friendly but a lot more relaxed than it was many years ago. Despite the lovely views, the decor in the restaurant feels really outdated. And the choice of 80s pop background music is quite bizarre. The lounge area, however, is much more stylish and great for a pre-dinner drink. Drinks outside on a warm summer evening are also a pleasurable experience.

Excellent meal last night. Food was very very good. Staff were attentive and looked after my wife who had a dairy allergy very well. Really nice atmosphere in the restaurant with some music in the background which I enjoyed as I don’t particularly like restaurants where I feel I can hear other peoples conversations. Only small downside is they were low on beer which considering it was 7pm on Saturday was a little strange. Highly recommend and will be back.

I visited Auberge du Lac this afternoon for a friends birthday and it was perfect! The grounds are beautiful, the food is delicious with impeccable presentation, and the service was well beyond 5*. First time visiting as we were in the area and was very delighted with our food. This pub serves your "traditional pub grub" at afford prices. I can recommend the steak pie it was lovely and decent portion size too. The young man who served us was friendly and pilot. As we left the pub all the staff said goodbye which was nice. There is a child play area so makes it a perfect place if you had small children. We don't have children so there is the odd distraction but but it didn't bother us that much.

Went to visit this pub with a colleague for lunch a week ago. We tried another pub in Colney Heath. However, they did not serve lunch on Tuesdays, which is when a local suggested this pub instead. Great staff and a very good proper lunch. People were starting to enter by the time we left but overall a nice little pub and definitely exceeded my expectations.

A Fantastic meal and atmosphere right on my doorstep. This is one of the few great pubs left nowadays with honest, classic pub food at reasonable prices. If you eat a main course, please have a desert too. You'll die for the proper classic crumble or the chocolate fudge pudding with Ice cream or custard. Mmmm! The service is also prompt and warm, with the owners being really hospitable. Don't hesitate to try this great 120-year-old village pub.

Our server, Kate, was very welcoming, friendly and attentive throughout. We had the Sunday Sharing Board and it was delicious. There was an excellent amount of food for the cost. The restaurant is clean and well spaced out. All in all my friend and I had a very enjoyable experience. Thank you!

Visited Miller and Carter Brookmans park after hearing rave reviews for a birthday celebration. Was not disappointed. Absolutely loved the fillet steak- perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. T-bone was huge and delicious. My puddings was the best for me- the biscof torte. The cocktails were amazing. Great value with the ' steak and cocktail' deal. My son is gluten free and the menu had a great selection. He got the full rack of ribs and again they did not disappoint. 10/10 for the whole meal. Absolutely lovely

15 of us came for dinner tonight. Service was a little slow to start but then Lauren took over and was absolutely perfect. Very attentive and patient with our large group. We know we can hit a bit much so she was fantastic. Thanks to her. It changed how we felt about the night. Food was spot on. Steaks all cooked perfectly.

This is a brilliant pub!!! Service is top notch and everyone is so friendly. The food? 10/10 especially the Sunday roast! Very reasonably priced and tasted amazing. Great portion sizes and you get the option to order a smaller or larger plate depending on how much you can eat! They also have 99ps with a flake!! Great seating availability & very clean. Wow, what a great find! It will be a favourite from now on, especially as summer draws on and we can enjoy the garden. We had Sunday roast and can recommend the rotisserie chicken and the beef brisket options. Large portions, quick polite service, beautiful surroundings. What's not to like. Well done Red Lion team!!

Haven’t been here for a few years though always liked it when I lived locally. Recently moved back to the area and been in twice so far. The pub is beautifully decorated, the staff are consistently great (always found this to be the case before) and the food is fabulous. The salads that have accompanied my mains each time have been delicious - lovely effort made.
