Great tuition from Nick either in person or via email. Received a few lessons last winter to help me work on a few things for summer golf trip and it helped me tremendously to feel comfortable with what I was doing. Doesn’t talk in riddles and explains process simply.

Being an Older golfer Nick listens to to my limitations and what I personally am trying to do . It's not all drill drill which I find doesn't benefit me . Very patient and relaxed gives his thoughts and advice calmly. Worth a visit.

Had a few hours to kill, so stopped off to hit a couple of balls at the lovely driving range. Unfortunately I didn't have my clubs with me. Spoke to one of the staff. Well what can I say. What a fantastic team. Sorted me out good and proper. The golf course looked amazing. If only I lived closer I would definitely go and play

Great yet challenging course. Good condition, green fairly undulated, great club house and a lovely bar / patio area overlooking the 18th hole. All-in-all well worth the trip there.

Hi. I unfairly reviewed this as 3 star. It’s a lovely place to spend and afternoon golfing. The facilities are first class, great range and chipping area. I’d played the London club the day before and the greens were much faster. But brocket was in the best condition it’s has even been in and will only get better. Look forward to the Palmerston soon.

Palmerston Golf Course @ Brockett Hall provided us with a well manicured and a picturesque setting. The undulating and changing landscape provided us lots of fun and excitement during our game which we chose to walk. Highly recommended. Great course and country estate location only half an hour’s drive from north London

I played this course as part of an away fixture. The first time that I've played the course and was really pleasantly surprised. The club house is an extended manor house with a very modern dining and patio area behind the main entrance. The practice area is pretty good with separate nets, putting green, chipping area and grass range. The only down side was, that because it is corporate owned i presume, that there was a function going on which meant the place was packed and we had to park adjacent to the grass range, leaving numerous cars in danger of an errant golf ball from there. The course itself is a tree lined parkland course with some really nice holes. There is enough elevation throughout the course to make for some great views but it does mean that you are playing a couple of blind approach shots. The course was in great condition. The fairways had really good coverage, the greens were of a good standard with a consistent roll and had enough slope on them to make for some challenging putts. The trees around the course provide some testing drives but with plenty of space further out for longer hitters. A couple of nice dog leg holes require accurate tee shots with challenging approaches. The final hole is a good looking par 3 up hill, with a view into the patio area. The members were friendly and the food was good. There were parts of the course that were still a little damp but there is a fair amount of water in the way of pond or streams to add further challenges into your round so not that surprising. Overall well worth a visit but it definitely should be played off the back tees to get the most out of your time there.

We used Brickendon Grange Golf Club for my dad’s 90th birthday party. It was fabulous! The room was light and airy with lovely views, the hot fork buffet was delicious and all the staff were really helpful. Parking was easy too. Everyone said what a lovely time they’d had.

Had some fantastic pizzas in the sunshine today. Sat in peaceful surroundings. Available Wednesday to Sunday. Highly recommend this local gem.

First time playing since new ownership. Really friendly reception and the great addition of a bar. It’s a great course for a relaxed round of golf at a reasonable price. A good range of food is offered in the cafe.

Great little golf club, went a couple Sundays back and the owner was kind enough to give us some free pizza. Well kept, fun course

Wheathampstead Golf Course is a true hidden gem. Visited today, The course itself is well-maintained and offers a fun yet challenging round for golfers of all levels. What really sets it apart, though, is the outstanding hospitality. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always go the extra mile to ensure a great experience. The clubhouse serves fantastic food—fresh, hearty, and perfect after a day on the course. Whether you're there for the golf or just a good meal in a relaxed setting, it's well worth a visit.

Still one of the best Hertfordshire courses. Played the Melbourne and in surprisingly good condition.

This is a great practice facility, everything you could want apart from a putting green on the site - very much recommended to spend some time here pre round.

Superb practice facility. 12 bays, with new srixon balls, 2 huge greens for chipping and pitching. Top quality bunkers around both greens. You can become a member of Brocket Hall or just be a member of the academy, either way it is members only.

Brilliant course we'll maintained friendly staff and a well stocked half way house ran by Julie who makes incredible brownies 😋, will definitely go back next year. The club house is very welcoming and the three course meal we had was excellent.

Course was in brilliant condition and is a challenging yet enjoyable round. Prices of consumables were very fair and the staff were in general helpful and polite. The course was let down by the Marshall on duty. BE WARNED, my group went round in 3:45 today. We were told three times we were too slow, despite being right up to the members in front of us. Interestingly enough, once these members had finished on hole 9, we weren’t spoken to again, seems it wasn’t us holding people up?

Another Foxes league match against Brookmans Park Golf Club, we lost the match 3 - 1. A traditional club lots of nostalgia everywhere in the club house, our hosts welcomed us to their club in a really friendly way. It's a parkland course with several long challenging par 4's, 5 x par 3's and 4 x par 5's, from the white tees it measures 6,487 yards. All tee boxes, greens and fairways are good quality playing surfaces. Today it played a bit longer as the ground was dead from recent wet weather, so it was a bit tough. Afterwards at the meal we had a Yorkshire pudding filled with roasted veg, mash and sausages, check out the picture of the food, delicious! I will return had a great day, on an old fashioned parkland mature course.

A beautiful course with lots of interesting Holes. The Fairways are wide and well kept as are all the greens. Some of the greens are difficult to read as they have slopes and undulations. I really enjoyed playing the course on the 1st of July

Had a wonderful experience at Redbourn on Saturday having not been there for years. The range is amazing now! The guys in the shop were so kind and lent my 5 year old some clubs to use. Paula in the resteraunt still there and lovely as I remember! I can’t wait to return a lot more regularly!

We booked in here today for the Easter Roast ( 5 adults and 3 babies) and we all agreed it was the best roast dinner we've had out for a very long time. Not only was the food outstanding, the friendly service, the setting and value for money was exceptional. Thank you so much for our Easter Chocolates. We will be going back soon and can highly recommend this restaurant.

Played there today as part of an organisers day. Played many times before but this day was outstanding. Couldn’t have been welcomed more and nothing was too much trouble. The course was in excellent condition considering we’d have days of rain. It’s a challenging play and enough to keep you interested. The staff looked after us exceedingly well (especially Ben) from start to end, whereby we had a delicious dinner to finish. Very positive experience. Give it a go 👍🏻

We recently held a lunch party here with the carvery, fantastic food and service. All our guests loved it.

Had my 60th birthday celebrations here, and it was an unforgettable experience. Facilities and food excellent, the staff attentive without being intrusive. Would happily have another landmark occasion here!

Fantastic food and service today. Table of 7 celebrating Mother's day. Venue is lovely, great setting and great suite layout and decor. Table layout was fab, with gifts for the Mums etc. We will be back :) Staff very friendly and attentive. No rush to vacate. Fantastic time all round. Well done to everyone.

We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary at Aldwickbury Golf Club last week. The room was a good size for our group of 28 people. The seating was comfortable and the tables laid beautifully. The organisation from the time when we first made an enquiry to the day of the event was excellent. The three course meal was delicious. The staff were welcoming and the service was excellent. We would thoroughly recommend Aldwickbury for a party of this kind.

I was really quite surprised with the location of this course. I traveled through a really busy Watford town center, turned a couple of corners and then find the course tucked behind a residential estate. However having arrived at the clubhouse it feels miles from anywhere, and was really quiet to play on. The club house was really clean and well maintained. Following the path around behind the club towards the pro shop and first tee you pass a really expansive putting green and a smaller chipping area. I played using a discount voucher so thought it great value but I'm not sure if the standard pay and play fee is such a good deal. I arrived a bit late so didn't have time to use the practice range but managed to hit a few balls in the practice nets before having a quick putt. The putting green gave a good indication of the greens in general and although they were a bit slower than I'm used to they were true with and in good condition providing a consistent roll. The course itself is a friendly parkland course with pretty much all the holes playing as you see them with not too many challenges. The whole course is tree lined with some scrub in places causing the odd lost ball. The fairways are actually all pretty wide and were in a great condition (and just for a change i managed to hit most of them!). As for the greens they were all fairly friendly with not too many challenging pin placements or horrible breaks to contend with. The best hole for me was the short par 4 8th which runs down hill towards a dip on the left with trees on the right. Not being a big hitter it gave me a nice lay up approach wood for a pitch onto the green. The only hole to let the course down was the 16th which is a par 3 playing a blind shot down to a cratered green over a well placed marker. It has a very generous landing area and despite having shot my approach well right of target, I was still left with a greenside pitch onto the putting surface having expected to be in the rough. Overall a very nice course not overly challenging. Probably the best thing was at the end of the day having finished and being able to see the members and juniors making the most of the practice area. Clearly a family friendly club with good facilities and a course that would suit most golfers and as of this moment in great condition.

Excellent course and splendid greens. Recommended!
