Always our go to (mine and my daughter's especially) when we are travelling through. Scrummy food, prompt service and unlike many establishments great customer service. Sadly no knives today for me to chop up my huge pieces of chicken which was the only let down.

Visited Plates for Sunday brunch as highly recommended by one of my friends. We ordered Shakshuka Baked Eggs, Plates Royale, Veggie Breakfast with a side of hash brown bites along with orange juice and coffee. What immediately stood out was that each dish was artfully plated and was vibrant and colourful. Not only did the food taste great, the ambiance of the cafe was also very cheerful and inviting. The staff were very attentive and helpful which in turn resulted in the service being very timely. We would definitely recommend Plates for a great brunch experience that doesn't break the bank!

What a fantastic place! Came expecting the same brunch menu I'd had before and discovered a completely new, Indian element to the menu. It was so good that I decided to shelf my dinner plans and return the same evening for delicious, traditional Indian cuisine that wouldn't be at all out of place in the very best Central London spots. I'll be a regular from here on out.

I hosted my birthday party at Plates on the weekend and couldn’t be happier with how it went. I had a group of 20 who had travelled from all different parts of the UK and who all said the event was one of the best they’d been to. I had spoken back and forth with Sushma for a few weeks prior to the event and she made sure that everything was perfect. She had thought of every detail including the table setting, hiring out the private room and including complimentary extras and a birthday surprise for me. We were able to play our own music and the atmosphere was amazing, the drinks were also great! The quality of the food was some of the best I’ve had in a long time and the service was unmatched. Sushma and the team are so kind and friendly and made my day so special, I’d recommend it to anybody for any event. Thank you so much - we will all be back !!

The food here was pretty good, but not exceptional. The fried chicken starter was pretty good, while the Louisiana Shrimp toast was nice but extortionate for £12.50. We got the Texas Tray, and the short rib was a standout as it was delicious, so tender and had a great flavour. The sausages, burnt ends, and pulled pork beans were also good, but the mac n’ cheese was a little dry and disappointing - especially compared to other smokehouses such as Hickory’s. Overall, a pretty good meal, but pricey.

Absolutely fantastic meal out, perfect for celebrating a family birthday event. The food was gorgeous and full of flavour, and the service was incredibly friendly and quick! Will definitely come back again, I’ve got my eye on a sharing platter next time!

Very good authentic BBQ, maybe a little pricey but you do feel like the quality is good so it's mostly worth it. Had a sharing platter to myself and was very satisfied and had a beef rib to take home for a snack later! Would definitely come back as a treat!

A wonderful place. Crisps are perfect, meat is a delight. They are so good that might have something tasty for vegetarians. Beer of the house is just out of this world. A delicious taste which is leaving you speechless and wanting for more. An A 🌟. Place.

Wednesday evening we went as a booking of 8 and from the moment we walked in, to to moment we left the hospitality was great. Staff worked tirelessly to ensure us and other guests were well served and always kept on top of the service without disturbing us too often. Food was amazing, all fresh and served together. Would highly recommend!

Went to Abbots Tandoori with my wife for dinner, and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. We tried the cantaloupe chicken and abbots special biryani —both were delicious. The garlic naan was soft and buttery, just the way we like it. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was quick. The ambiance was calm and clean. Great experience overall. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine in the area! The taste took me straight back to Dhaka! Abbots Tandoori nailed the flavor—especially the garlic naan and lamb roshuni modhu . Their chutney and starters were also on point. Portion sizes were generous, and prices were reasonable. Definitely going back to try more dishes!

We had the choice of mezze or the sharing board for a selection of items. We didn’t board and it was superb. Nice selection of well-cooked meats and a generous portion of chips. Dips were good alongside and the desserts were absolutely splendid. Highly recommend

This is a lovely Greek restaurant in Berkhamsted! We were celebrating a friend’s birthday so we had a group of 6. We ordered quite the assortment of dishes that we shared. Some favourites of ours included the chicken souvlakia, gigandes, and dolmades. The restaurant looked clean and the staff were patient with our group. We enjoyed our meal very much! It was a bit on the pricey side, so be prepared to get 2-3 dishes per person.

We arrived late for our booking, but they accommodated us without hesitation. The food was incredible—delicious and authentic. The restaurant’s interior was beautifully designed, and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend!

Our absolute favourite restaurant in Watford, we’ve been multiple times and never been disappointed. We like to arrive a little early, sit at the bar and have a couple of delicious cocktails at the bar (on happy hour) before taking our table. The menu isn’t extensive, but it doesn’t need to be. The tapas style starters are all on point, personal favourites are the croquetas and gyoza. Main courses also measure up, with the jerk sauce fantastic, and the short rib falling off the bone. Top notch service throughout, and the team really make an effort to create a great vibe in the restaurant.

Visited Humo for the first time today, it has been on my list of restaurants to try for a while and it did not disappoint! We had the Tapas and tried 5 different dishes. To our surprise it was also Happy Hour so we ordered a couple of Strawberry Daiquiries to accompany our meal. If I could give the meal 10/10 I would. The drinks were delicious, each tapas dish was perfect, we particularly enjoyed the bone marrow. The service was superb too. We will be back, I suspect this could quickly become our favourite restaurant in Watford! 🤩

My husband and I went to Humo for dinner. We had the 3 course dinner menu which was good value. The starters were delicious - ham croquettes and fish tacos. The steak main was unfortunately a little rare in the middle when I had wanted medium rare but was yummy but the pickle salad was underwhelming. The dessert of pistachio tiramisu was delicious! Service - not super attentive but they were nice and had to request condiments, remind them we had ordered wine and was a little slow. Wouldn’t rush to go back here.

Very high quality food, cooked to perfection and fairly priced with good presentation, staff were friendly and kind in a sleek and romantic restaurant especially at night. Went on a Tuesday evening was very quiet but tasteful music in the background kept a positive atmosphere. The bone marrow was excellent, proper fine dining experience with expected smaller portions but the quality makes up for it.

Fabulous! Great food and wine list, cosy romantic atmosphere. Tables set with real roses. Owner is charismatic and fun, staff are efficient and friendly. Caters for couples and large groups with equal ease. In warmer weather there is outdoor seating ..perfect for brunch and coffee or a lovely glass of plonk. Highly recommend.

Had a great meal again there last night. I had prawns to start and then pasta. My partner had the chops and she said they were awesome. I’ve been a few times. The couple that run it are fun and friendly. Very welcoming. The place is clean and tidy and lighting romantic. Groups of friends and couples in there although I’ve eaten there alone before too. Had a glass each of the house wine (red and white) and was overall a very enjoyable meal. Was a little quiet which is why I marked it one star down but most of the time I’ve been here or tried to get in it’s fully booked so would recommend not trying to walk in. It was raining so might have stopped a few more people going out.

Cute local restaurant with wonderful food and a great atmosphere. I’ve been dying to try Delizia for ages as was not at all disappointed. The service made you feel like family. The wine list was lovely and fresh. The fig bruschetta was amazing and the flavour just burst in my mouth. I loved every bite. I had a seafood pasta that was tasty. The prawns were cooked perfectly and the flavour was spot on.

A lovely traditional pub, serving good pub food like ham , egg and chips . The landlady was very welcoming even when busy getting ready to open up . We enjoyed the homemade bread pudding with ice cream, just like my Nan used to make . Great service at the bar too.

My friends and I stopped here for our first meal on our UK trip and had a great time! The service was wonderful and the bar staff were very welcoming and friendly. I was delighted that they had a GF lasagna as an option. It's the type of place that I could see myself being a regular at!

Our 1st day in the UK and we decided to go out for some beers and a bite to eat. We came upon The Unicorn, lovely place and super friendly people. When we decided to finally eat we found out the kitchen had closed up an hour before. The owner Deb asked if we liked pizza and literally called a place down the road and booked us a table for 2 and then drive us there.amd walked us inside to make sure they took care of us. After eating we walked back just to hang out and drink with the locals and thank Deb. I highly recommend stopping in, having a pint and saying hi!

Very nice and cosy place, we were welcomed with a small child and stroller was no problem. The staff was super nice and helpful. Food was very tasty and we didn’t wait long. We had some traditional dishes, as far as English cousine goes the food was good, not oversized neither small. Really nothing to complain about. Thank you very much

We had a birthday party for two members of the family so quite a few guests and knew there would be only one place to order food from. As expected the food was great with no complaints from anyone. Another great meal from Dine Bangla. Will never go anywhere else.

Had another amazing meal last night. It was extremely busy but the service and food were first class. We pre ordered the leg of lamb it was incredible. We have been going here for years and have never had a bad meal. Well done to all the staff.

The curry was absolutely amazing, it had stunning flavour and texture. The staff were very kind and welcoming. Overall the best curry house in Hertfordshire.

The food is really good! I'm most impressed with the service. I try to get my children to order where they can (over the phone and in person to build confidence and competence in general life skills) and i cannot praise this place enough. I am 4 tries in so this is not a "good day thing" they have been so good with my son and i can't thank them enough. I work front of house myself and there are soooo many children that can't speak to others, which is why i am so passionate about making sure my children can. These guys are amazing at making my boys feel comfortable enough to do this ❤️ THIS IS RARE and i want to shout about it!
