Great little cafe in Baldock High St. my go-to when in town. Offers a good range of light bites, lunches and treats along with locally roasted coffee. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Always a pleasure to stop here and definitely recommend.

Nice local cafe. Has a great atmosphere and is super dog friendly. Was polite and friendly service throughout. I ordered the beef chilli with cheese and an Oreo milkshake with marshmallows. Odd combination granted but it’s heat I felt like at the time. Also had an orange juice. The chilli was pretty decent. Good for a cafe. Hearty portion and looked like they made their own tortillas. Fair play. Tasted great. All the other meals were good too. Vege hash, eggs Royale and Luna salad. Good value, good food, would definitely go again.

We had a delectable meal. Three of us opted for the two-course set, which comprised of a main and dessert. My sole was delicate and very enjoyable. My husband liked his steak, although his main criticism was that it was a bit small for him. The chocolate mousse was not overly sweet and the nut brittle added a nice crunch, but it did stick to your teeth a bit. MIL seemed to like her sticky date and ginger pudding, which had a strong ginger note to it. Service was friendly. We had a good experience.

A gem in the heart of Berkhamsted 😍 the food is excellent, friendly staff, and their lovely garden at the back is warmly welcoming you! Either two courses or three courses meals, it is value for money. Reservations in advance are always good because this place is quickly booked 👍🏼 This evening we had our meals again at the Five Bells and I had a vegetarian meals, ‘mince lamb’ with pita bread. It was delicious..!!

We came for lunch and a cheeky cocktail each. Service was very welcoming, cocktails delicious and the food well prepared. My steak melted in the mouth and Ingrids linguine was very tasty. Well done Lussmanns!

Nine of us dined (a late lunch) in the private dining room on the first floor. The team (gloriously international) were friendly, upbeat, patient and attentive. The food was attractive to look at, beautifully cooked and very tasty. We were not pressurised to leave and enjoyed nearly 4 hours of consummate hospitality.

Great local pub with amazing food. The lasagna was one of the best in the UK. Place has also large selections of ale beer. Nice country side atmosphere ..

I've always liked this pub but what an effort they've made to continue offering great service during this pandemic. Loads of sanitizing stations, marquee, paved beer garden and a grassed beer garden area. Really nice. Revisited today and still one of my favourite pubs. Happy to see Birra Moretti on draught too.

Thai food in a pub at lunchtime, can't ask for more. It's "proper" Thai food too. Don't be silly, try it.

Food was delicious. We had a couple dishes which were all nice with our standout being the Salmon one bites. Good service and a nice evening out.

The restaurant has lovely decor. We ordered set royal lunch and prawn pinapple fried rice. They were flavourful and nice. Pandan cake and mago cake were also nice. We waited quite long for our order even though it was still early and quiet. Overall nice food and we enjoyed it, hope the food come out quicker next time

Amazing food. So far, it was one of the best thai I've eaten in England. The restaurant hasn't got a character inside. I prefer the look from the outside. The table mats were a bit sticky and stained. Also, inside the restaurant was a bit cold. The staff was helpful and polite.

Definitely one of my favourites places to eat! The food is amazing! My eyes, tastes buds and tummy are all happy :) It tastes amazing and the portions are great! It’s worth the money! Bonus: chicken, lamb and beef are halal

My friend and I found this little gem of a pub by chance this week. We were really impressed with the food and also the very welcoming and helpful staff. If you re passing nearby this delightful little village I thoroughly recommend stopping by. We didn't stay at the hotel but if it matches the service we received for lunch I m sure it would be very nice.

We have just returned from staying at The Fox in Willian this weekend visiting our son and daughter in law who have just purchased a house in hitchin. It was fabulous. The room was immaculate and cozy with an outdoor private patio. The girls who came to replenish and clean our room - Natalia and Rosie were the best and so friendly and willing to help. I have never stayed anywhere where the staff were outstanding from Kate who seems to run the place to the bar, restaurant, reception and waiting staff - exceptional and so friendly no miserable faces in this estabishment. The Food: Well the Sunday lunch was exceptional my pork best ever. Also family had beef and lamb again excellent. We ate there also on the Friday evening and had fish (haddock) really well cooked and presented. Great Chefs! There is a little grocery shop next door for provisions and again met the lovely Julie there a joy to chat to. Lovely village very relaxed and really great atmosphere in The Fox. Yes we will be back on a regular basis. Oh and I love dogs so this is doggy heaven!! loads of lovely walks for humans too.

I visited here for an evening meal for a date. The service at the bar was fabulous, very attentive, helpful and friendly bar staff for pre-meal drinks. The dining team were also welcoming, friendly and helpful, the food was fabulously presented and the flavours were sublime. Can't fault the experience, thanks to all the teams for a great experience! Worth stating I don't know anyone who works there and this was my first visit, a genuine review from someone who genuinely had a great evening meal.

We got a takeaway delivered. Everything was above par, hot and they don't skimp on the spice which is unusual for local Indian restaurants and greatly appreciated! Certainly our go to now for a takeaway, very impressed 👍

I was recommended baldock spice from someone who said this is best place for Indian food in Baldock. Ordered delivery and fantastic service - called me to check address and delivered earlier than the suggested time online. Delighted to find a complimentary bag of samosas - thank you! Food was delicious. So nice to get a follow up message to ask how it was. 5 stars!

We love Baldock Spices, we only get our curry from here. They give you 20% off if you collect which I think is a lovely touch. Our curry is always spot on, never cold and always tasty. We highly recommend

I won’t lie to you, an Indian is not my first choice for a takeaway…. However… over the years of trying every Indian takeaway/dine in within a 5 mile radius, I can safely say Baldock Spice is hands down our go-to and should be yours! Their generous discount when collecting is an added bonus also 🙌🏻 Really friendly staff, food ready to collect on time, always arrives piping hot when delivered! Tonight we were given a “freebie” of their new Biscoff Fridge cake, which I had no idea what it was… but let me tell you now… this was hands down the best dessert I have had in a LONG TIME!!! Many may think this review was scripted, but I’m happy to say that I’m just a guy who is very critical about their food 😏

Had a great curry here last night. Three of us had starters and mains and a couple of drinks. It was fairly early in the night so not very busy. Waiters and the new waitress were attentive and efficient. The manager made us feel welcome. We got a mix of spicy and plain poppadoms which were good and the dips usual and tasty. The starters were decent. I had the vegetable samosa which had a small kick to it. The others liked theirs. For main I had a prawn tandoori masala and it was delicious. Had some pilau rice with it too. Apparently the fish curry is pretty spicy so be warned :) I had the ferrero pudding which was good too. We drank cobra and Campari. All fine on the drinks front. So yes it was a good experience and I would go back.

Sunday evening dinner fantastic service and food. Bring your own drink during January was brilliant as we have a couple of fussy drinkers. First time in and will definitely be going again.

Went with a small group, we are planning a charity fundraising night here in the New Year. Charming staff, brilliant service, really delicious and well presented food and excellent value! I really enjoyed my shashlik chicken. No wonder they achieve accolades! Looking forward to going back 😋

What an amazing experience at Berkhamsted Prime! From the inviting ambiance to the gorgeous food as well as everything in between. This Prime Steak house is a win win for everyone. The staff are accommodating, efficient and could not do enough for myself and my party. The choice of drinks is second to none, but what makes this place the absolute best is the food. Well portioned, beautifully cooked all whilst wait times for the food was at a minimum. The waiting staff, bar tenders and management were undeniably knowledgeable, who easily have played a part in Berkhamsted Prime becoming our new favourite restaurant.

We visited Secret Garden Prime in Berkhamsted spontaneously and without a booking, not knowing what to expect. When we arrived, the bartender Catalin (not Katerin, as we first thought!) kindly explained that the cocktail lounge was about to close, as it had been a quiet evening. Despite that, he was incredibly polite and offered to check with his manager to see if he could still make drinks for us. Just a few minutes later, we were sitting in the gorgeous garden lounge, cocktails in hand, enjoying the peaceful and stylish surroundings. But the best part was still to come! The manager, Diana, came to speak with us — and her warmth and kindness truly melted our hearts. It felt like we were being welcomed by old friends. Then Catalin returned and introduced us to his girlfriend Sorina, who also greeted us with the same warmth and friendliness. We were absolutely speechless. The atmosphere, the drinks, and above all, the people made this one of the most memorable spontaneous nights out we’ve had. If we could give 12 out of 10 stars, we absolutely would. Highly, highly recommended — we can’t wait to return!

Outstanding Dining Experience at Prime Steak House!!! Prime Steak House delivered an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in the ambiance was elegant yet inviting, perfect for any special occasion. The steak, oh my god!.. perfectly aged, expertly cooked and is easily among the best I’ve ever had. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavour! Service was top-notch: attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. If you’re looking for a first-class steakhouse with exceptional food and atmosphere, Prime Steak House is a must-visit.

Decent restaurant on the high street. Nice interior, lots of interesting seating options. We enjoy the breakfast options. Slightly annoying to have a high service charge added to the bill by default. A little bit pricey but very filling and tasty breakfast options.

My father and I ate here every morning while we stayed in near at the Penny Farthing. The most delicious fresh made juices and coffee as well as matcha and tea options. A lovely tiny croissant was complimentary with our coffees and juices. The breakfasts I had were all phenomenal. The fried eggs on avocado toast with the delicious crunch of nuts hit the spot. The pancakes were also very good and comforting. We had so many different things and ate in each dining area inside as well as out. Every experience was beautiful the atmosphere wonderful and the staff was pleasant, kind and helpful. I absolutely can not wait to come back to rey dinner! Thank you!!

I've never visited here before but will certainly do so again. Lunch date with a friend, friendly staff, great food. Could do with a bit of background music but we had a lovely lunch date.

The first time here, the roast dinner was very yummy, very filling! Was a bit odd how I got a rectangular plate (which there was a little space to move my food), and my friend had a circular plate. But I always need to have a dessert and a cuppa tea after the big meal!! All staff were welcoming and lovely people.
