We had a Sunday lunch at eight. My wife and son had the Sunday roast pork which they were a little underwhelmed by. I had cauliflower fritters which were amazing but really needed some sides. They then enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding which was amazing. It was a nice place, really comfy chairs but probably not somewhere we'll go again.
This is my partner and I local favourite spot, especially for date night. And this is the best kitchen you will find for gluten free and intolerance accommodation. The staff are great and the supper clubs are a must try. If you want a more relaxing sophisticated night with a loved one, family, friends but still an atmosphere and buzz without large crowds this is the place for you.
Amazing food and very welcoming friendly staff. Highly recommend lamb ribs starter. Would eat it 10 times over 😍
Visited November 2024 On road parking in the evenings is unrestricted making accessibility to this little gem easy. It’s a little, pretty, restaurant with few tables. It’s a limited menu but food done to a good standard. The service was brilliant, all the girls are super attentive. We both had the soft shell crab. It was mainly batter, and the main body of the crab wasn’t a soft enough shell to eat. For mains we had the duck with dauphinoise potatoes and creamed veg and the steak. The steak was so tender that you could have cut it with a butter knife. Dessert of espresso crèmè brulèe and sticky toffee pudding were both delicious. The free drink for our special occasion was a nice touch. Three courses each for approx £140. 8 out of 10.
Had an absolutely wonderful Sunday lunch today! Delicious and fantastic portion sizes, just the right amount. For mains we had roast beef, lamb and cauliflower. And desserts we had rhubarb posset, affogato, sticky pudding and sticky sundae. The service and staff were excellent and attentive. It's very cosy and personal too. Highly recommend going to Eight!
