Accidentally ended up here as we were visiting harry potter studio. Authentic kerala preparation, especially was impressed with fresh king fish curry and prawn curry.. porotta, chicken curry and beef roast were also tasty

We had SUCH an amazing meal here for mine and my father’s birthday! Amith was very lovely and sang happy birthday very well, and the other people working here were lovely. But more importantly the food was AMAZING! They are generous with their prawns, the food is fresh, the menu is rich (and not very expensive)! We will be back, thank you very much!! :)

Spontaneous visit to The Cochin with family! Amazing service with lovely atmosphere. Menu was amazing and great vegan choices. Staff knowledgable and accommodating. Will defo return again and again👍🏽

First time here and Thoroughly enjoyed it. Not your typical India restaurant. Definitely bought the Southern influence to the table. An extensive menu. Great service and very reasonable priced. Highly recommend

This restaurant provides a lovely experience. The owner is a friendly person who makes you feel welcome. The food is of a decent standard. I had sea bass (off the bone) which came in fillets. Was delicious. Would recommend this restaurant. However, for larger groups (5 or more) it is best to book well in advance as the space is limited but the staff are friendly and I'm sure all can enjoy themselves there.

Beautifully old school. From the gentle lilt of Tony Bennett in the background, to the fig and fauna wallpaper, the setting of this restaurant contributes to an authentic and convivial atmosphere. Food is simply prepared but tastes superb. Choice is limited to well executed staples and the price is extremely reasonable with lunchtime mains at £6.75 and puddings around £5. One of my favourite little authentic Italians.

Classy table cloth restaurant, celebrated my friend’s birthday there last week. We ordered from their “Today’s Special” menu, lovely food and great service. Good that they don’t have pizza as we were looking for authentic Italian food and here is just we wanted.

Great staff, Kind, friendly and always attentive to customer needs. Amazing atmosphere couldn't fault the pub or the people. Went in last night for a cheeky drink and was served by Amy and Callum who were amazing also got speaking to the governor Russ and Anita who made our night unforgettable. Lovely old pub with a great vibe. Staff are friendly, drinks are reasonable with some good offers periodically. Great choice of food on the menu. Recommend a visit to this pub with a fantastic history

Lovely little pub. We went in for an impromptu meal before going to the cinema at the Town Hall and were very impressed. Quaint place with a nice interior, friendly staff and excellent food. Very reasonably priced menu and the food we had was really rather excellent for a high street pub. The staff were very friendly, but also good at their job. When one drunk customer got rowdy and argumentative he was calmly removed by the lady behind the bar despite him being quite agressive towards her. Very impressive all round. Next time we're in Hemel Old Town we'll definitely be looking to visit again.

We stopped here for lunch after a birthday adventure tour. We were very satisfied with everything. The view is very nice, on a nice warm summer day, delicious food and friendly service.

Great location, tranquil atmosphere. The food is ok but selection is limited. Drinks though are great. If you are in the area, pit-stop there for some beer is a good idea.

Tonight I wasn't too hungry so went for the brushetta . Staff we too busy chatting to each other . Never had Brushetta with salad tomatoes straight out the fridge before . Not to my liking. Staff never approach me to even ask how my food was . I did eat it . Poor service and attention to customers.

We were in a group of 12 and recommended to the three horseshoes by someone local, it didnt disappoint. Right on the side of the canal, nice character building from 1500s with lots of seating outside. The food was really good and nice atmosphere all round.

Very clean and welcoming place. Pub staff even helped me with a swing bridge to get my boat across. Food is delicious so as real ales. Don't walk by!!!

Hosted a fabulous private dining event, looking after us was a fantastic team. Lewis, Becky, Jack and Freya. The evening worked like clockwork with our timings, hats off to the chef for getting all the food out and what delicious food it was. Only small negative is if doing speeches the noise from the bar does have an impact so do bring a little PA system.

We came for a wedding and it was superb. The service from Andrea and her team was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. They were accommodating and had set them room up brilliantly. The team were nice and smiley and all of them were great at service. The food was delicious. It was filling with great portion sizes and everything came out hot and fresh. I would throughly recommend for a big function or for a meal with family or friends. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful day for my brother and sister in law.

A good spot for lunch - just minutes from the M1 - when driving north. We were initially surprised by how many cars there were in the car park, but the pub turned out to be very busy, even at 1pm on a Saturday. A good menu of British pub classics, inc roast pork belly, and fish & chips, and good puddings too. Clearly very popular with the local community!

Huge thank you to Victor for making our birthday lunch so special today!! We had a range of ages at the table from age 3 to age 93, and Victor was so sweet and lovely in all the right ways to every single guest. He made our birthday girl feel very special, and for that we’re incredibly grateful! Food was fantastic and would highly recommend the Halloumi salad. Lots of parking available and good veggie options. Thank you again!

Visited for lunch today with my son. We were seated and served by an older lady (grandparent age) but I'm afraid I don't know what her name was. She was absolutely lovely from start to finish and she was working so hard with serving, check backs and clearing the whole time we were there. She is an asset to your pub! On top of the great service, the food was lovely as was the setting.

Booked Sunday afternoon, would recommend booking as very busy. Received warm welcome, all the staff looked very smart, were very efficient and friendly, only positive things about them all Large pub / restaurant with many different dinning areas so was not noisy where we were seated. Nicely decorated with a range of framed pictures, which looked smart and interesting to read. Done full menu and carvery, all food was very nicely presented, and tasted good. I had the turkey carvery which was timed with meals from kitchen as waitress let me know which time to go up, which was excellent service. Price are very reasonable compared with the service on offer. There is a car park which was full on our visit but has street parking. I would recommend a visit.

Wonderful way to spend our 3rd Year Anniversary. The food was delicious & the cocktails were perfect. Ana was attentive & funny! Will come again.
