My daughter attended excel only for a short period of time and gained a lot. The tutors are amazing. She thoroughly enjoyed every lesson and always had something to share when she got home. She passed her 11 plus due to the hard work positiveness and dedication excel had to offer.

Today was my son’s GCSE results day and I was surprised at such amazing results. school prepares you for a grade 5 whereas Excel Academics pushes you to get a grade 9. My son improved by 4 grades in English literature by working with Rachel to overcome his weaknesses and also improved by 2 grades in maths. They are always available to help students and regularly monitor their progress while also informing parents of any strengths and weaknesses of their child. Sarah is a wonderful tutor who is always approachable, kind and understanding. After the covid lockdowns my daughter really struggled with her confidence in maths, but over the last year we have seen a huge improvement. My son was upset that I had signed him up for coming however once he got to tuition time he settled right in and made a friend. Staff had a positive attitude and welcomed Zinny and put him at ease, Zinny would ask if he was going everyday and was upset on days that they were closed. They had plenty to do and everyday was exciting with new things to do. It was brilliant as I'm unable to do activities everyday with him this was a brilliant as he could let of steam and run around. My Son absolutely loved the summer club even though I was bit anxious before sending as he’s got additional needs but he was absolutely fine, he was happy & excited going to the club . Staff was amazing they kept him engaged in all the activities he likes & also were really good communicating & supportive with him. They let him involved in group activities . They made sure he was having good time 😊 Thank you again for having this club & opportunity for all the children. My son can’t wait to come back again as he still talks about the club & remembers .

Excellent & Exceptional - Both my son and daughter have attended since November 2020, I love the fact that the children are taught in a classroom setting and no aspect of learning is compromised. A very high standard of teaching which is engaging and enjoyed and absolutely the right balance for my two.

My daughters time here has come to an end after a year (I think 😅) ❤ Lesley has been such a great positive tutor and has helped my daughter more than she could ever know. My daughter lacked confidence due to having time off from COVID and quite quickly fell behind in school which then affected her time at school. On the surface, Kip tutoring may seem expensive, but I believe it is well worth the money - my daughter's English and Maths have improved greatly after tutoring. As a result of a 80 minute session (not 60 mins), my daughter received quality learning and feedback. The learning was tailored, flexible, and parental input was always welcomed. Each lesson was followed up with written feedback. I think Lesley-Ann is a real find, a true gem - my daughter enjoyed her lessons very much.

My daughters joined Lesley-Ann and Trisha for approximately a year. Lesley-Ann assessed them when they initially started and worked out which areas they needed the extra help. Each session was well thought out and catered to my childrens individual needs. We also recieved feedback after every session, keeping us in the loop with what they were learning and how well they did. Ian visited us in our home, was clearly, passionate about tutoring/education, and was clearly invested in improving outcomes. Very good experience using this company. Ian was very quick to respond to my enquire and spent 20+ minutes on the phone with me, discussing my needs. Only a day later I was matched up with my tutor, a few days later I met up with my new maths tutor, Giovanni, who is friendly, a great teacher and very patient, for our first session. I Would recommend to anyone who either needs that bit more help with whichever subject, maybe to restore some confidence and someone needs guidance right from the start of their tutoring journey.

Tutor Doctor in Hull have provided multiple courses for my children over the last 2 years. Their remote learning sessions are very well structured with full session reports and a dedicated online platform including guided learning hour logs and a full history for audit and revision purposes. The tutors were professional, knowledgeable and clearly worked to well-prepared lesson plans mirroring the exam syllabus. A big thumbs up from us.

The background work that Ian put in prior to our first meeting was excellent and on his initial visit he was extremely professional and spent a lot of time with my daughter listening to her needs and found out what parts of her A level biology course she needed help with . We are now into our second month of two sessions a week with “Miss Becky” and can’t be happier with the benefits we are already seeing. We decided on extra tuition as we feel our son may be missing out due to large class size which is split between year 1 and 2 age group, and only 1 main teacher. Becky soon figured out areas in which he may need extra support and worked on ways to adapt a learning style that suits him. An extra benefit is that our son finds the sessions really fun and keeps him well engaged and he is always excited when it’s the day of his home visits. I have two boys 8 and 10 that attend the writing club with Becky, and they both really enjoy it! Even though they are at different levels, Becky is inclusive and accommodating to both boys and the other children in the group. I hear shared laughter, encouragement and support from not just Becky but the rest of the group too to each other :) This is my youngests first experience of online tutoring and he has loved it, so much so we feel he is ready now to start one on one tutoring. Becky has been teaching my twins for a few months and I’m so pleased with the lessons and how my children are both progressing. Becky keeps the lessons fun and engaging and is quick to adapt her teaching methods to suit each child, I’ve seen positive improvements with both of my children’s confidence during school and during Spark Academy lessons, which was always the objective. Becky supports them with learning new things whilst encouraging them to stretch their knowledge to be working in greater depth. As a parent it is fulfilling to see my children thrive and be challenged in their own abilities. Positive teaching at its best.

This tutoring company is amazing and wonderful. I am a GCSE student and their page on Instagram helped me a lot, they post questions in their stories related to the upcoming paper, they answer in private to all of your questions, no matter how many. They have many posts on their profile page related to subjects like science (mostly), maths, some for english as well. Best thing of all, they do a "night before" revision for the next day's exam covering all topics requested by students. The revisions are really helpful. They also have some videos on YouTube for free and for some others you have to pay to watch their course. But, it's worth it ! This page is a saviour for GCSE students.

I have found the Instagram stories really useful as part of my revision for my GCSEs in the summer, I enjoy how I can answer quick questions during the time I spend online making me feel more productive as well as receive feedback straight away.

Had a good experience with Isaac our personal tutor for son's GCSE maths retake. Son failed his maths but was able to resit again in Jan 2025. Isaac was brilliant, had private tutor for 1 hr pw. My son passed his maths with flying colours, well worth the money, could highly recommend Tutor Doctor.
