I signed my daughters up for extra tuition at Lextra a few months ago. Although I haven't seen great improvement in their academics yet, I deeply appreciate the engagement and support the staff have provided far. There's constant monitoring and genuine interest in students so I'm optimistic that the learning and progress will be reflected by the 6th month. Jake has been extremely helpful during the years that I have been studying gcses where near the start of year 10 I was struggling in both chemistry and physics but after learning from Jake and his extremely good teaching I was able to bounce back and will hopefully get a 9 in both subjects for gcse. My daughter joined Kumon just before starting school, and it has been such a great head start for her. Honestly I can not recommend Adam enough. He has been absolutely amazing, his knowledge and understanding for the children is exemplary. My sons Maths grades improved by 2 marks within 4 months, and he looked forward to his lesson every week. He said the way he was taught the maths was brilliant and if he was struggling Adam made sure he left feeling confident. He had is last lesson on Wednesday and I've just received 2 messages with extra support for his GCSE next week, he didn't have to do this but it shows that isn't just a business to him. My daughter needed help with GCSE maths. Adam Tutorial was local and we thought we'd give it a try. We are glad we did. The sessions are held in a small group, rather than the traditional 1-1. Maths is something you need someone to guide you when stuck and not a subject you need constant supervision. The end result is my daughter obtained the grade she thought beforehand she wouldn't attain. Adam definitely helped her on her journey.

Today was my son’s GCSE results day and I was surprised at such amazing results. school prepares you for a grade 5 whereas Excel Academics pushes you to get a grade 9. My son improved by 4 grades in English literature by working with Rachel to overcome his weaknesses and also improved by 2 grades in maths. They are always available to help students and regularly monitor their progress while also informing parents of any strengths and weaknesses of their child. If you’re seeking a tutor to support your child with the grammar school entrance exam, I’d 100 percent recommend Jack at Tutor First. Jack provided a complimentary session to assess if our son had the academic ability for the school and exam, midway through year three. We decided to commence sending our son to Jack for one hour a week from the start of year four. Initially, Jack supported our son with foundation work, with a particular focus on handwriting. Most importantly he built a great rapport with our son. Jack’s approach was very tailored and he was also very good at advising how we could support our son at home too. Over the past two years, there’s never been lots of homework or pressure, just constant support and encouragement. Even in the weeks nearing the exam, it was very relaxed.
