My son is sitting his GCSEs next year and started with LBC in September. He’s has improved grades I'm sure he is going to improve more. The work is tailored to cover any gaps and also work on exam style questions in every session. My daughter has autism and is significantly behind in her learning. I trialled many places to find somewhere suitable to try and fill some of the gaps in her learning. Only LBC were able to accommodate my daughter and adapt the sessions to meet her needs. They were very knowledgeable and you can tell they have a lot of experience in tutoring children with special needs. They even have a breakout space for my daughter to go to when she requires a break. I couldn’t be happier that I finally found a place that caters to my daughters needs!

LBC tuition has made a tremendous impact on my daughter’s SPAG and reading comprehension. Over the past few months, my daughter’s confidence has really improved, she found the classes to be enjoyable and very helpful indeed. As a result, she scored highly in her SATs.

Both of my daughters have been to Kip McGrath in Shipley to help them gain confidence and keep up in maths at school. My eldest now scores 7s in maths leading up to GCSEs this year, whilst my youngest (9) needed to be taught a modern maths approach which isn't the way I learned. She now feels comfortable with the pace and ideas of maths at school and we are grateful to Gael and Roy for helping her grow so quickly. The cost is reasonable and the tutors are keen for students to sit every lesson which has been paid for so offer catch-up sessions in case of illness or unavailability from the student. There is a free assessment and you can get a good deal when paying in advance for a full term, weekly on a day that suits you. If your child needs a little help to get back on track in one of the key skills taught at school, just message and have an initial session to see how they go.

Both of our boys have attended Kip (Shipley) for the 11+ over the last few years and have been successful in reaching the required standard and gaining a place at their school of choice. We did try other tuition places for our youngest but ended up back at Kip. Gael /Roy and the rest of the team are super helpful and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is also much more relaxed and has a welcoming family feel to it. So much that our youngest actually enjoyed attending his lessons there. Would highly recommend Kip (Shipley) for anyone interested in the 11+ or even for just some extra help with their schoolwork.

My eldest daughter attended Kip McGrath Shipley for 2 years running up to her 11+ exams. She thrived in the fun and friendly learning environment that the founders Gael and Roy have created and she (secretly!) looked forward to going every Saturday. Thanks to Kip McGrath Shipley's help she was successful in both of her 11+ exams, and she's now enjoying her first year of secondary school at North Halifax Grammar. All being well - and with the continued support from Kip McGrath Shipley - she'll be joined by her younger sister in a couple of years time. Finally, it's just worth mentioning that Gael and Roy switched premises in summer 2019, and their new learning centre is lovely and bright, with easy access for pick up and drop offs.

My daughter started at Kip Shipley when she was struggling with Maths, looking like she would not pass. We visited a few private tutors but as soon as we visited Kip Shipley I got that feeling of when you are looking for a new house, you know within the first few minutes of walking in that it's for you or not. Me and my daughter spoke to Gael and she was so warm and welcoming without the stuffiness of other places that we had visited, it felt like we had known her for years. My daughter was noticeably comfortable there and so there was no doubt we had found the right fit. Gael introduced her to her tutor Roy and her grade in Maths quickly started to improve and she has just got her GCSCE'S and got a 7 which is a massive improvement since she started at Kip on a 4. I would not hesitate in recommending to others or sending my youngest daughter there. The tutors are so calm and down to earth and great communicators instilling confidence in your child.

I can’t recommend Gemma highly enough , my son has dyslexia and dysgraphia, at the beginning of year 11 he wasn’t expected to pass English language or literature. Her calm manner and sense of fun made my son engage and he enjoyed going every week. Gemma is very approachable and kept me regularly informed as to how he was getting on . Gemma is a fantastic tutor! My son only had her for the last four months before his GCSEs but in that time he became much more confident and consistent in answering the exam questions in both English Literature and Langugae. I am sure the grade 7 and 8 in these exams were due to Gemma’s personalised and excellent intervention. My son absolutely loved coming to her sessions, even after a long day at school! Amazing private tuition centre. My son has has improved his Science and Maths subjects immensely. He has improved in all areas of his subjects that he is studying. We recently went to his parents evening and all the teachers noticed major improvements on his cycle assessments. This is has improved his confidence and learning in Year 10 and for essential preparation for crucial Year 11 GCSE's exams. We couldnt be more appreciative of the work at Kip McGrath, as he home studying wasn't helpful and easily distracted with modern technology.

An outstanding, amazing tuition centre which goes above and beyond to meet your child needs. My child was struggling with English and since attending the session at the tuition centre I’ve seen improvement. Lovely, friendly staff with good qualified teachers and specially Mubbashar you can see the passion he has to meet every child individual needs also love the way he has set up a pizza party every 4th week for the children attending the tuition session. The tuition centre is all year round which I find very helpful as when the children breakup for the six week holidays their don’t forget what they learnt at school.
