Ian undertook the job of replacing the original wiring in my 1960s rental property. He was helpful, honest and informative from the first consultation, confirming and explaining the necessity of the work due to the poor insulation readings and age of the wiring, advising on the number and appropriate placement of sockets and switches, and highlighting the possible problems and potential extra costs that might occur during the job. He was punctual and easy to communicate with throughout and contacted me immediately to discuss any issues. Ian was fantastic at working round the couple of problems that arose, and was able to find solutions without saddling me with extra costs! When the job was completed he cleared up thoroughly. Ian is always my first port of call for any electrical work I might need. I trust his expertise and honesty and I recommend him wholeheartedly.

Downstairs rewire, hob and shower rewire completed at residential address. The quote given was accurate, when the final invoice was received. We are very pleased with the work Ian and his team completed. They were always punctual, very tidy and clean. All the work was completed thoroughly and professionally. Installed a new small fuse box in my garage and fed a supply to a new shed and a summerhouse. Really great job completed 100% as requested and within the timescales and costs quoted. Darren is his team are a highly professional bunch which carried out their work to high standards and diligence. A consumer unit replacement job turned into then having to add extra 32amp sockets for my HiFi system didnt sway them. They were more than happy to do the wxtra work. I highly recommend them. We have had consistent issues with our LED strip lighting in our living room - large installation (c.30m of strips) on a dimmer switch, with a very messy structure. Had two electricians come previously, the first said it was the light switch (changed and broke again), the second changed one of the LED drivers (switch broke again). Nik came in, (on time!), diagnosed the issue, recommended the best course of action and gave me the quote. He was patient, installed it, and always open to questions. He's professional, not a pushy salesman, and flexible. Always sanitised his hands, wore his face mask, and was clean and tidy. After years of searching I have finally found my go to electrician! Great job all round, couldn't be happier.

Never trust youtube when they say I can single handedly take off chandeliers and wall lights! I was on a ladder whilst holding a chandelier hanging from the ceiling and no way to disconnect it and no way to move. Luckily I had my phone in my pocket.. I called this company and explained the situation .. they sensed the panic in my voice and sent someone to me in 15 mins. He not only took down two chandelier and 8 wall lights .. he also flagged that the current state of the wire / connection wasn't safe and proceeded to make them all safe for me! Thank you again! You honestly saved me! I will definitely use again and recommend to friends and family.

I cannot recommend Steve and Switched on Electrical enough. Where most Contractors tell you what you need without taking into account your ideas, we may not know everything but our input is also valuable and Steve took this into account after many bad experiences with other Electricians. It was nice to speak to someone who was so clear and concise and took our needs into account when planning the work moving forward. We knew what we’d be facing everyday, as we’d planned this ‘TOGETHER’ so we could make arrangements. Always tidied up after themselves, ensured our safety at all times and was so polite. Darren is a very personable and friendly man. I have used him to do numerous jobs, over the past few years, adding and changing sockets, changing and fitting most of our ceiling lights, fitting external sensor floodlights, fitting all of our external Ring security and also adding new external weather-proof sockets.
