We had a lovely meal here. The food was delicious, especially the mackerel! I really like that wine by the glass is no more expensive than a bottle would be. We'll be going back.

Great food. We were a party of 6 and opted for one of each of the tapas style dishes on the menu. All the dishes were outstanding. We also tried the cocktails which were equally good, highly recommend the Old Fashioned.

Great meal for Mum's birthday. 8 of us, so got to taste most of the offerings! Staff were delightful. Food was bang on. Particularly delicious - the caramelised onions on that steak! Salmon was lush. Also loved the carrots and the camembert! Food comes out piece-meal - so if you're a stickler for a straight-forward starter then a main course, or you'd like something to come out sooner rather than later and jump the queue - I'd suggest specifying to the staff up-front.

Came again for lunch, and we did make a reservation. It's a Sunday and glad we arrived before the Sunday crowd, was almost packed. We got the two-course lunch which was less than £20 per person. Great value for the portions and quality. I like it that foods not too salty for my liking. The chicken Diane sauce tho had tad too much alcohol for my taste. Calamari was lovely, and tomato soup was creamy. Service can be slow but they are very prompt in responding to complaints. 5 months earlier: Walked in to restaurant and managed to get seats and be served, even though was only 5pm. Ordered beef Bourguignon and the pork medallions plus a beer and a glass of sparkly. Lovely service. Good portions and tasty, especially the sauces, so full we didn't have room for dessert.

Had a fantastic evening family meal. Lovely service overseen by Lara in the restaurant and Orla in the pub. Cameron the head chef delivered delicious 3 courses to 5 of us and the starters by Alex were top notch. How someone so young cooked the calamares to perfection on such a busy night is amazing. Thank you all - will be back soon!

So just returned form a lovely afternoon tea at Bistrot Pierre, a gift from my work friends for my significant birthday. The afternoon tea was really lovely but it was the care and customer service that made this exceptional. I had to change the booking a few times and the email communication from Emily and Orla was kind and helpful. Today the service from Lola and Marcus was second to none, Lola particularly was attentive without being intrusive. If you are able to visit you’ll not be disappointed - I’ll definitely visit again 😊

Had a really nice stay here, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was delicious and served promptly and professionally by Emily and Paula. Also really well decorated for xmass as this is when we stayed!

This is a really lovely cafe in the heart of Ilkley. The staff provided a warm welcome on arrival. On a cold day, it was nice to have a fire burning to warm up. The food is well prepared and tastes great. It's refreshing to see a good children's menu too, with finger sandwiches and fruit bowls available that suited our 3 year old. Highly recommended

A busy but friendly coffee shop set over 2 floors. There’s plenty of food options as well as an extensive choice of teas! We plumped for the lemon and ginger tea which was refreshing. The food came in good time and was freshly made. We saw lots of customers having crepes which we couldn’t manage this time, but will return to try these out!!

This coffee house is located in an alleyway which leads from Brook Street to the main car park in Ilkley town centre. As the weather was good we sat outside. It is table service only so we were annoyed when someone else, who had just arrived got served before us, although we had been waiting for some time. So a star off for the lack of attention from the waiting staff! We both ordered coffees and Focaccia toasties, which came with side salad and potato crisps. Absolutely delicious and easily enough for a lunchtime snack. The prices were reasonable for what you got. So as I said, they need to keep an eye on which customers should be served first, but otherwise very nice.

Back for breakfast. Forgotten our order though our fault for not checking earlier this ended up waiting for long time. Once we checked with them, food was served promptly. Poached eggs nicely done. Given the high costs these days, it's understandable that an extra sausage costs £2.2. plates looked quite plain with just what we ordered, poached eggs on crumpets. Think a few grapes or cucumber might liven up the dish a bit. Service is friendly and trey were really apologetic about the forgotten order. Previously: Stopped for quick and light lunch. Got the daily soup (potato with rosemary) which comes with toasted bread (focaccia). Good value and nice seating.

Christmas Dinner can be a let down however the staff here did really well. The food was tasty and served whilst still nice and hot. Service was quick, as well as friendly. Usually you expect a drop in standards for a christmas meal but they did really well making it a fantastic meal.

We went there on Saturday lunchtime after a hike in Ilkley Moors. It was busy but we managed to find a table. We only had dessert and a café. They allow dogs in the pub area. The service was prompt and polite. We also had a nice view. I do recommend and would visit this place again.

This has always been one of my favourite places and nothing has changed! The food is still gorgeous, the staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was perfect. Had a lamb Sunday Roast and it had zero faults! Thank you especially to our server: Emily, she was a delight!

The Cow and Calf at Ilkley Moor is an absolute gem! Nestled in a gorgeous location, it offers stunning views of the moorland, making it a perfect destination for both locals and visitors alike. Whether you prefer to park in the nearby car park or on the verge just outside the pub, you won’t have any trouble finding a spot, even during busy times. The ease of access is definitely a plus for those who might be stopping by after a long hike or simply exploring the area. Although we had already eaten before arriving, it was clear from the menu that the food options are very tempting. The dishes we saw being served looked delicious, and it was a bit of a shame that we couldn’t sample them ourselves. If the food tastes as good as it looks, then it's definitely worth trying on your next visit. We visited the Cow and Calf primarily as a rest stop after a long hike across Ilkley Moor. The pub provided a perfect spot to unwind, enjoy a drink, and take in the views. In our case, a drink and a snack were just what we needed. The atmosphere is welcoming, and it feels like the kind of place where you can truly relax and soak in the surroundings. In summary, whether you’re looking for a delicious meal, a quick snack, or just a place to relax after exploring Ilkley Moor, the Cow and Calf is a perfect choice. Visited on Tuesday for a date night. For starters we had pizza bread and olives.. the olives were gorgeous and the pizza bread was very fresh and tasty. Mains , we had Lasagna and ribeye steak. The steak was amazing.. possibly the best I’ve had. I did compliment the chef as I was so impressed. We had 2x red wine (Chianti Classico) and 2x white wine (Pino). Total bill came to £61 - £15 tip. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Can I just say how impressed I am with the restaurants 50% off your bill policy in January.. usually restaurants don’t offer this and it’s an excellent idea to get customers through the door at the quietest time of the year.. ❤️ SUPPORT THIS RESTAURANT!!

I had lunch on my own, was warmly welcomed, as I have been in the past, service is always good, friendly and unconcerned that I’m dining alone. The food was great and what I really like here is that the portions are not huge as is often the case with pasta. Excellent!

Great service, good food, and atmosphere for early dining. Steak slighly overdone for what was asked for but rectified straight away when staff asked if everything was OK. We dined on the sun terrace and will be back to try the downstairs eating experience.

I would like to thank all the staff who worked on Friday 31st January who did a tremendous job for my husbands celebration of life. There must have been nearly 100 people who attended and the staff coped professionally and attentively. The food was amazing and not a crumb was left. Could not have picked a better venue. Overall a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is in a great location and is a short walk from the local train station, so very handy for trips to Leeds or Ilkley without the hassle of finding parking. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and well furnished, the bed was very comfortable. Food was very good/excellent and the staff were friendly. However, service was a bit slow for dinner on the Friday because the pub was very busy. Would recommend to anyone visiting this part of Yorkshire.

We had a lovely experience at the Wheatley yesterday. We ordered two pork belly roasts which were delicious (best roast I’ve had in ages!). We were greeted by a very polite waitress and sat down really quickly. Our food and drinks both came out really quickly and the staff were all so lovely and very attentive, even on a busy Sunday. Our desserts were delicious too! The whole atmosphere and look of the restaurant is so nice. We’d recommend the Wheatley to anyone and we’ll definitely be back soon!

Stopped in after being out in the snow on Saturday. Really nice waiting on staff. The place was warm (I had been running so was quite wet yet never got cold). Dog friendly. Quick service and the roast was really good. Will definitely be returning for a traditional dinner.

A cafe run by an Italian for Yorkshire folk or folk visiting Yorkshire adjacent to a popular car park for the Cow and Calf and Ilkkey Moor...fancy "Betty's" it isn't but if you've just come off the moor in dodgy weather you'll be glad of a sausage roll and cup of hot chocolate then it will hit the spot.

We visited on a busy Saturday and the owner was so friendly and attentive! We got a coffee and retuned for lunch after our walk and he welcomed us back, we both had a lovely sandwich each and he even gave us a chocolate bar. Such lovely staff, the Italian gent ( we assumed he was the owner ) has a great attitude to life & his business and is a really lovely bloke. Recommend!

Been a few times the view is epic from here, food is OK but not great a bacon and egg sandwich I had a few weeks ago left something to be desired, bacon was fatty and a bit stringy, with the egg not being runny and a touch over cooked and at the price if I'm being honest it could have been better, not bad just not great, drinks are good tea was fine and coffee is pretty good too, service is good and friendly and as prompt as possible give how many people are waiting obviously, so overall not bad but I've had better.

Initial impression led to low expectations but lasting impression was of excellence! The service was the best thing - the waitress was wonderfully attentive and chirpy, but also the food was tasty, no complaints there, and the house speciality soft drinks were a treat. Excellent people and dog watching from the tables outside.

I had an afternoon in Ilkley today and was ready for lunch. Myself and a friend chose this place as it looked very inviting. The menu outside was easy to read and the prices about average. On entering,the staff were very friendly and showed us to a table. The atmosphere and decor here is wonderful, with many pictures/ paintings on the walls. The lighting was perfect. Our waitress Katie was very attentive and the rest of the staff were very pleasant. We had a mix-up with the drinks which was our fault and the male waiter was very understanding and helpful. The food was very tasty and we had ample portions. I spent longer than normal in this place. It was a very relaxed and pleasant place to be. It was good old-fashioned service and we felt valued customers from entering to leaving. Thank you to all the staff, especially Katie for adding joy to my afternoon in Ilkley. 10 out of 10.

PERFECT PLACE - I work/ study here often, and can enjoy breakfast, brunch and dinner (and gorgeous coffee) throughout the day. The staff are lovely, and it feels like a second home. Food wise, i am dairy-free and there are lots of great vegan options. I am yet to try the boozy drinks but I'm sure they will be just as lovely as everything else!

I came here with a group of Scouts after a long hike. I (and others from my group) ordered my drink to find that the staff were very kind and welcoming. Additionally, my drink was very good quality and came very quickly. I definitely recommend if you are nearby and fancy quick coffee!
