My dog need his annual boosters, and due to my disability I’m unable to drive. This service was so less stressful than trying to get him in a taxi to the local vets, for his injections. Two lovely ladies came and did them, and he was so chilled out and happy. They were very respectful and friendly. Would strongly recommend them, and would always be my go to vet for him now. Great service and glad I came across them.

Many thanks to the 2 ladies who came to our home and made Molly's passing such a peaceful event and for showing the compassion that our local vet had sadly not been able to show. The fact that after 15 years plus our beloved little dog was able to leave this world with some dignity, in her own home, accompanied by people who loved her made a difficult time a much less upsetting event than it would otherwise have been. R.I.P. Molly - Gone, but not forgotten x

UPDATE: 01 Oct 2024. This is a very difficult thing for me to write. But I wanted to publicly thank My Home Vets, Olivia and Maaike for showing absolute empathy with our cat Mambrú. Unfortunately, two weeks ago, Mambrú suddenly started having seizures out of nowhere. In the morning she ate her breakfast normally and 20 minutes later when she was sleeping, she had some kind of hallucinations and then a seizure. She had asked me to cover her up and I put a freshly washed blanket on her that had a strong smell of detergent so I thought that was the reason. The rest of the day went by normally, until 1:30 in the morning, when Mambrú had another seizure. I didn't know what to do because I couldn't call My Home Vets because of the time, however, I requested an appointment through the questionnaire on their website and explained the situation to them. Unfortunately, Mambrú had another seizure an hour later so we had to take her to the nearest veterinary hospital for emergency care. My Home Vet contacted me very early in the morning telling me that they could give me a priority appointment for that same day around 9:00am. I thanked them and explained that we had to take the kitten to another veterinary center. Oliva asked me to keep her updated. After that, our precious kitty got worse so we had to make the hard decision to euthanize her. I don't know how I found the strength but I contacted My Home Vet to let them know that Mambrú was not going to need them anymore. After that, something totally unexpected happened for me. I received a beautiful hand-written condolence card in the mail with some seeds. I honestly didn't expect this. THANK YOU, THANK YOU so much Olivia and Maaike. You have no idea how much that gesture of empathy meant to us. Knowing that Mambrú was not just a number to you and that you actually care about your furry patients, only shows the great quality of human beings that you are. Once again, I 100% recommend My Home Vet as the best veterinarians in the area. Be completely assured that your furry children will be in the best hands. Thank you forever. Mambrú and her human parents. --o0o-- Dec 2021:The best service we have ever had! We were users of Pets at Home veterinarians in Huddersfield and these days we call to book an appointment for the annual vaccination of our 16-year-old cat Mambrú. Pets at Home told us that there was a national shortage of vaccines and that we could only have the appointment for the month of February 2022. We worry because the vaccines expired on December the 23th of 2021 and our kitten is a foreign kitten, therefore, maintaining the vaccination on time is one of the requirements to enter and leave any country. We decided to search online for other vets and luckily we came across My Home Vet. We called yesterday (Wednesday) and they gave us the appointment for today Friday. Incredible! We are very grateful, since they came to our house (very punctual by the way), vaccinated our kitten, weighed her, checked her teeth, and her heart. The appointment was extremely fast (I think no more than 10 minutes) I would have liked to talk a little more hahaha, but considering the COVID situation and how exposed they are going house to house, it seems very sensible. Thank you very much Maaike and Olivia! We were able to pay for the service by card without using cash, they gave me the payment receipt and even sent me the invoice by email. More cannot be asked! Companion Care Vets just lost a customer.

Following the heartbreaking decision we had to make to help our beautiful (almost) 14 year old boy Axel go to permanent sleep, I can’t thank Sarah and Danielle enough for their lovely, caring nature, on what was a truly sad and devastating day... Their calmness and explanation of the whole process and what to expect, helped prepare us for Axel’s final journey. He hated going to the vets, so we wanted him to be at home, in calm and familiar, stress-free surroundings. He passed away peacefully and with dignity, laying in his favourite spot in the garden in the sunshine, getting the head and ear tickles he loved so much and surrounded by the people who loved him most. We really couldn’t have asked for a better send off for Axel 🌈🐶💙 Thank you for making such an emotionally difficult time that bit easier to bear 🙏🏼

The Kennels are clean and well run. Staff are always friendly and our dog is always happy to see them. The only problem is they are so popular you have to book well in advance

I remember my mum and dad taking our pet dog to Honley Kennels, he was also groomed regularly there too when they offered that service a long time ago. Since lve always taken my dog to board, staff are very friendly and allowing you to take your pet into the kennel before and when you come to collect is peace of mind for you knowing where you pet is, clean and safe whilst your away. Jess is happy togo to Honley on her holidays but happier when we are back from ours to collect her! Thank you to all the staff and Andrew for looking after Jess when she comes to stay with you!

Always extremely happy to leave our dogs with Andy. They're well looked after and loved by all the staff and it's evident how clean they keep the kennels as they come back smelling as fresh as they went in (not that horrible kennel smell we've experienced at other places). Jenga and Jenson have a particularly special place in their hearts for the lovely Tina!! A very caring kennels - thank you, Michele & Paul Stevenson :-)

The receptionist Tracey was friendly, polite and explained and helped me to sign up to the pet plan immediately. She explained what was included, the price breakdown and gave me leaflets to explain. The vet Tavi was amazing. So knowledgeable and understanding of my dog and his temperament. Knew exactly what to do and how to handle him. It was the first time I came to this practice having recently moved the area and I'm so relieved I've found such a friendly, caring practice with a vet who can help my dog Noodle. Thank you so much. Next time I won't feel so nervous to come along with my pup! :)

Bring 9 out of 10 pets to companian care ( the other goes to a local vet as he hates the car). Never had an issue at all, all staff very friendly, and the vets take their time to allow the pets to relax, only thing is their prices have jumped up since lockdown.

I’ve been using this vet practice for years. I’ve always found all the staff to be helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. This morning my cat had an appointment with Tavi. Not only did Tavi look at the issue my cat had gone in for but looked at two other little issues as well. Not only is Tavi a great vet he is also a nice person. Very friendly, approachable and caring.

Lots of mixed reviews on here. Around 6 weeks ago I contacted the vets and asked can I register my dog Rocky as I thought he had conjunctivitis that he seemed to of had for a fair few weeks. Eye drops etc didn't work. Andy seen to him and gave him an injection and prescribed him with some anti biotics. That cleared up brilliantly. Today I got home from work to find Rocky coated in lumps. I rung the vets and asked if I could bring him down asap. Within 15 minutes I was at the vets and there was a few people waiting but they stopped what they were doing (on the phone etc) and seen to Rocky straight away. Again Andy gave him a injection and I'm now writing this review 6 hours after his injection and it's nearly cleared up. Fantastic service. Can not fault them.

Andy Jennings has looked after our dogs & cats for well over 20 years - I wouldn't take them anywhere else. He & his team have looked after our pets throughout thick & thin. From routine boosters & medication to trauma & lifesaving operation, even astounding acupuncture treatment years ago when all seemed lost, that gave our precious terrier a further 7 years of fantastic & fun filled life. During each animal's lifetime & as they've come & gone, always too soon, Andy, Catherine & their excellent staff have always cared for our pets in a professional & at the same time personal way. Fantastic health care & advice always given & genuine sadness & compassion at our loss when that inevitable time comes around. The wellbeing of your animal is his life's work & with those fantastic waistcoats giving a distinctive air of James Herriott, this for me at least, has always inspired a confidence & familiarity, which goes a long way in times now where such a personal service can be hard to find. I would have no hesitation in recommending Andy & his team to anyone.
