Rating: 4.9 (156) Price Level:

Great little real ale bar. With a large selection of beers and lagers. Also, cater for the non drinkers with a selection of coffee's and teas. Two rooms in side and a new seating area out the front with heaters. Also, do a loyalty card, buy 6 pints, and you get the next free. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

A lovely little bar with two rooms and a spacious raised area outside. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The beers are varied and fun and the pizzas are competitively priced for a rustic and well loved bite to eat. I enjoy winding down with the kids after shopping or at the end of a stressful week. This bar is one of my personal favourites. I highly recommend popping in, you won't be disappointed. Also, if you have dietary requirements, phone ahead - the kitchen is very flexible.

NOT probably, but in my opinion the best pizza in the area for a good few miles! Definitely beats all of Farsley/Pudsey restaurants by a long shot. An excellent selection of ales, beers and cocktails. Very friendly staff, cannot wait for second visit! 😀

A little hubbub of pints, music, and atmosphere in the mill complex, Against the Grain is an absolutely wonderful place to enjoy a night with friends or family and indulge in amazing food! The charcuterie board is absolutely huge - generous portions of each item such as pickles, salami, brie, cheddar, little slices of bread and peppers. The pizza is flavoursome and delicious - I'd recommend the Sgt Pepper ❤️

The few times I've been here to get food, I've never left disappointed, which is a wonderful thing for a cafe - definitely worthy of a 5 🌟 rating, without a doubt - it's pretty popular too, which shows just how good it is! Haven't yet bought a proper meal from here so far, but if it's anything like the past, it'll still be great!

La Grande

68-70 Abbey Rd, Kirkstall, Leeds LS5 3JG, UK | Italian Restaurant
P: 0113 532 6933

Rating: 4.8 (121) Price Level:

Wonderful new addition to Kirkstall. La Grande is a 10 min walk from our house so we may now become regulars! My husband had pizza and I had possibly the best seafood spaghetti I've ever had. Really nice inside with patio heaters in the extra bit that will be outside in the summer months. We went early so restaurant not full but I'm sure it will be buzzing at other times. Impeccable service too. Highly recommend.

I brought my wife here for date night. She lives for italian cuisine and we had just that week got back from a fortnight tour in Italy for our honeymoon. I took a punt on a new reastaurant and it paid off. After the closure of Dos Amigos i was looking forward to, but not holding my breath about what would replace it. All I can say is what an absolute gem this restaurant is, there are many Italian restaurants in Leeds but after visiting, this is a go to spot around my local area. Hospitality first; the staff are so welcoming and really attentive. I am generally not one to pick on service, but I can really appreciate when it's amazing. The staff here ARE amazing, friendly and make your meal special. The food, is incredible. The quality of the produce is night and day to most italian places in leeds at this pricepoint. I was humbled, I'm not a salmon guy but the way Le Grande cook theirs, and now I am. In our order we had: Caprese Salad The mixed seafood platter Garlic pizza Tomato and onion salad Tiramasu Bottle of wine. Welcome La grande to the kirkstall area and may you thrive.

Very friendly Italian restaurant. We were a large group and the waiters were endlessly patient with our orders and everyone paying individually. They were intrigued by our Secret Santa and book exchange games and were efficient with drinks and dessert orders that were not on the pre-order. Food was tasty and beer was cold...what more could we ask for. I will definitely visit again and bring friends and family. Thank you.

Went in this lunch time was nice, was quiet ah and a tad cold but not a problem the food was 100% couldn't fault it at all there was only the one lad in but still managed to get my breakfast out nice, warm and quick he said sorry for wait but tbh there wasn't a wait at all I had a traditional breakfast with extra sausage instead of bacon,I don't usually get bacon as I don't like it really unless my dad cooks it ah but It looked so good I pinched some of my partners plate. 😊 Hash browns was soooooo nice and beans wasn't flooding plate with sauce there was just right amount. Proppa builders brew maybe next time I'll just ask for the 1 sugar ahah but nothing to complain about at all nicely priced and a good size portion 10/10

Fletcher Electric

63 Stonegate Rd, Meanwood, Leeds LS6 4HZ, UK | Electrician
P: 0113 320 9926

Rating: 5 (80) Price Level:

I could not recommend Fletcher Electric enough! Matt saved the day when our previous electrician dropped out half way through our kitchen renovation. He quickly got to grips with the wiring that had been installed by the previous electrician and clearly explained to us what work was outstanding. No question was too big or small for Matt and he spent a long time answering our queries. Matt was reliable, skilled, fairly priced and friendly. He even suggested ways to optimise lighting in our kitchen - which looks fab! Go with Matt, you won’t be disappointed.

Rating: 5 / 5

Matt was recommended to us by our neighbour. He has been punctual and polite. The work he has undertaken has been carried out with minimal disruption and finished neatly with good quality products. All required certification has been provided promptly and submitted to the relevant bodies on our behalf. He’s a pleasant chap and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him myself or to call on him again should the need arise.

Matt replaced our consumer unit in December and completed a full electrical safety certificate on the property. This identified a number of issues with a recent kitchen installation which he managed to resolve despite a busy schedule. Matt was also excellent at providing all the information we needed as evidence for the kitchen fitter and really went above and beyond. Highly recommended! Tom and Beth

Fletcher Electric recently installed a bunch of new sockets at our multi use community space. They were fast, responsive, efficient, friendly and competitively priced. On top of that they did a cracking job with the install, exactly what we needed and more. Would strongly recommend if you're looking for an honest, trustworthy and reliable electrician. Thumbs up

Matt recently installed some new spot lights in the kitchen, and fixed various electrical issues around the house. All done in one day to a good standard and Matt consulted throughout to ensure I was happy with the work/knew what was being done. Very happy with the results and will be using Matt again for any work needed. Can happily recommend Fletcher Electric to anyone looking for a trusted tradesman to use

Bavette

4-6 Town St, Horsforth, Leeds LS18 4RJ, UK | Restaurant
P: 0113 258 2901

Rating: 4.8 (149) Price Level:

We had one of the most memorable and exceptional dining experiences here on Friday evening for our wedding anniversary. We received a thoroughly warm welcome, in the gorgeously chic yet cosy space, exceptional service throughout, and incredible food. We shared the croquettes, shellfish bisque, and house baguette with butter, followed by the Cote de Boeuf with sides, and to finish, the chocolate sabayon and a Paris-Brest. All beautifully accompanied by one of the Bavette natural wines. Honestly, faultless. The atmosphere was buzzing and vibrant without being overpowering, the music was excellent, and the service was just the icing on the cake - knowledgeable, warm, chatty, a real sense of customer focus and a genuine care that we had an enjoyable time. It was also wonderful to see such a mixed demographic of clientele and this made us feel that this is truly a neighbourhood bistro. Everyone is welcome. Exceptional food - Exceptional service - Exceptional and standout addition to Yorkshire and (luckily for us) our local area. 11/10 can’t wait to return ❤️

Been to Bavette several times now. This place makes you feel better from the moment you walk in, good atmosphere, chilled environment, food prepared with love, changing menus, and both owners are in almost always making sure the food & the service are up to standards. Love Clement & Sandy and truly appreciate bringing this passion to Leeds!

Amazing. Id heard a lot before we went about how good it was and it did not disappoint. Amazing service, so friendly and went above and beyond with giving us one of the snacks because our table was delayed. Which we had not even really noticed as we were happily choosing which wine to order. The food was so so good and some really nice wine, the only thing we did wrong was too much savoury meaning no room for desert but I will 100% be going back and will save room for creme bulee. I highly recommend and the hype does not disappoint. Great little restaurant

This is the second time we have been to Bavette. We were a little disappointed the first time, so we decided to come back thinking we might have come on a bad day (tough steak and overcooked chips) given how good reviews have been. Whilst we were a little more impressed this time, we were still a little underwhelmed and think a 4/5 rating is justified by the food quality/price/service/atmosphere. We won't rush back, but will happily come for a nice meal out in Horsforth again when the time suits.

Tareem’s Kitchen

107A Vesper Rd, Hawksworth, Leeds LS5 3LJ, UK | Middle Eastern Restaurant
P: 0113 873 0213

Rating: 4.9 (181) Price Level:

Delicious traditional Yemeni meals and desserts cooked fresh to order, in very big portions. Very helpful service on which options to choose from as a vegetarian, but I'd say its mostly geared for meat-eaters (particularly if you like Lamb). I returned here as a meat-eater (after being Vegetarian for 3 years) before leaving Leeds for their Maandi Lamb. Has to be the best lamb dish I have EVER had. I haven't seen their kitchen but I'm pretty sure they use the traditional method of an underground oven or something alike to make the lamb slide off the bone. Spices were amazing.

Delicious Yemeni chicken mindhi and tasty veggie curry and the Yemeni gracious and humble service. Place was filled with Yemeni people eating so a good sign of good food original tasting food. While sitting there saw many large take out trays leaving the place. It’s a small place but nice. Try to get there before 7 on Friday nights if you want mindhi meat otherwise there’s a good chance they’ll run out. They have a traditional private Yemeni family room great for a large family to eat in. Also used as a prayer room. Tried to give a tip but they wouldn’t except it totally refused.

Tareem's Kitchen in Leeds offers a cozy slice of Yemen with authentic dishes like the well-loved Mandi Lamb and lamb Haneed meal. Though tucked away in a less bustling location, the flavors and warm service make it a worthy find. A hidden gem for true Yemeni cuisine lovers.

What a great experience. I called in a panic as my electric had gone off. We talked through on the phone and discovered the issue lay with Northern power grid. They provided the emergency number and even checked in later that day to check if all was resolved. I cannot recommend the service enough and have seabed the number for future projects that need doing in my house. Thank you!

The entire house renovations would not have been completed without the efficiency and quality work provided by the entire MPS team. Marc is very accessible and transparent in regards to works required to make things right. Marc and Janine coordinates the entire project efficiently and got things done on time. Quality work from start to finish. Whether is it from rewiring and electrics or decorating, Kyle and Aaron always do an excellent job.
