After a disastrous experience at a previous garage, we were so lucky to find this place. My son's much loved but elderly sports car needed a lot of work doing to it but is now back in tip top condition again. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for an honest, reliable and friendly garage at a reasonable price.

My car developed a coolant leak, a common problem for higher mileage examples of this model. I took it to my tried and trusted garage who quickly diagnosed that the whole coolant housing inc pump needed replacing which would cost close to £1000. When questioned, they said they have seen this many times and were sure this was the root cause. Given the very high estimated price, I had to get a second opinion so took it to Harpenden Auto Services. The team took their time to diagnose the problem correctly by pressure testing the coolant system. They concluded it was most likely just a hose connector, so best to start with that and keep an eye on the issue. This would only cost £130 to fix. Once the work was done, I was still a little concerned about the temperature rising too quickly, so took my car back the next day. They took it out for a drive with the OBD reader connected, providing actual temp readings, to check and reassure me that all was working okay. It's been about a month since I had this work carried out and all seems well. I can't recommend this garage enough, not only did they save me around £900, their honesty and thoroughness in both diagnosing and fixing the issue is invaluable and hard to find.
