This is a wonderful little farm shop that has some fantastic food and friendly service. The shop is lovely. Seems to be all home made food very nicely presented. Service is friendly and efficient. The seating area is quite large with some big tables. Outside area is also available. Would really recommend a visit.

I have driven past this place many times and had always promised myself one of their full English breakfasts. It was around 930am on a Wednesday morning on a glorious sunny day when I went past the entrance and decided that today was the day I'd fulfil my self promise. Drove up the drive and turned into a reasonably sized grass covered car park. Parked up and made my way into the Farm shop and ordered a full English and a cuppa. Came to £10.90. Went outside as it was such a nice day and found an empty wooden table with bench seats available, sat down and enjoyed the sunshine and watched children playing on the fort and rocking platform whilst waiting for my breakfast. It wasn't long in coming. A nice full English two eggs, two rashes of bacon, a couple of hash browns, a couple of sausage patties, half a tomato, mushrooms and a couple of slices of toast and butter plus a cup of breakfast tea - should have taken a photo of it but was more focused on eating. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. As I ate a succession of cars appeared and the car park and tables filled with families, Many with young children. Seems I had timed my visit to perfection. I shall certainly be returning.

A quick pop in to get some afternoon cakes from Greggs, this place has all the basics you need and then some. Leon, Greggs and Subway all in the same place, it's a great place to stop for a lunch.

We visited the Palm House for breakfast and I really enjoyed it. The space itself is nicely laid out and a good number of tables and the food was great. Good portion sizes and selection to choose from. Will definitely come again!

Popped in with my Mom and New Years Eve lunchtime and we were greeted with super friendly staff and quickly seated. I had the big breakfast and my Mom the smoked salmon, avo and al scrambled egg on sourdough. We had a hot chocolate and a coffee. All food and drink were excellent! Great atmosphere, great service. Highly recommended. I will be back! Thank you!

I just wanted to edit my review as I have recently become gluten intolerant. I have been coming to The Palm House for just over a year now, and the food was always delightful. Since I have been diagnosed with an intolerance, the food is still wonderful - with the added benefit of it not upsetting me. This is a kitchen staffed with people who understand the importance of preventing cross contamination and still continue to provide food that is such high quality!

An absolutely lovely Gail's bakery. Friendly welcoming staff, clean, great atmosphere and the food is always on top form! Jayce is an artist with coffee, tastes great and looks beautiful, almost a shame to drink it! I go to the bakery regularly and I'm always smiling when I leave! Love it!

Amazing food and great service - especially from Tom! Really friendly and welcoming. Brightened up our rainy New Year’s Day! A bonus that we were able to bring our dog in too.

As soon as I stepped in the door I had such a lovely greeting from a young fellow named Will ! He was so helpful and definitely sold me more than I needed but I was so happy to get the extra maple pecan scone cause it was delicious 🥰 he also told me about the agave they put in coffee so had to try some of that and was such a lovely alternative to syrups - 5*s all the way 🕺🏻

Bustling hub of good quality food and drink. I had the flourless chocolate cake (thank you, another coffee shop I tried first had zero gluten free options) and the lemongrass and ginger tea which arrived in a pot. My first Gail's experience as we don't have one in our town, and I hope I'll be back soon!

Just as your leaving Guildford on to the gigs back dual carriageway, there’s a left hand lay-by for parking & the cafe building hidden down the slope. I only noticed it from a home made “cafe” sign that caught my eye. Feels like an independent family run cafe friendly staff and a good grub stop. Breakfasts are decent and the tea and coffee mugs welcoming. Yes I’d drop by here again. Good place if you need a bit of a rest break from driving.

Honestly, the best breakfast we have had in a long time. Hot tasty and such good value. Friendly staff next time we come back home to the Uk we will be there. Oh and all set in such a beautiful garden. Thanks. 2nd review 2 years on. Had an amazing breakfast this morning as good as ever, friendly staff and great value. I had a small breakfast this time but you would never have thought it was small. Delicious and great choice. See you next time 😊

What a great find! Lunch food - we had tuna baked potato and brie & cranberry panini - were delicious and freshly prepared (but very speedily served), followed by coffee and chocolate cake. Coffees good too! Some vegetarian choices and gluten-free cake options & milk alternatives available for coffees. High chairs and junior menu available. All on one level and a toilet for disabilities. Location is off the beaten track but definitely worth the bumpy road approach. The 'Eatery' overlooks the lake (plentiful seating, both inside and out) which had a variety of birds to view. Staff friendly and tables cleared very quickly. Prices reasonable and good value. It did become quite busy, so I'd book in future, although we just dropped in!

I went with a group of seven other friends for a Christmas get together. This is a great place to eat a cafe style meal. I had the big breakfast which came with sausages, bacon, hash browns, baked beans, mushrooms and black pudding as well as two slices of toast. We also had pigs in blankets and mince pies. The setting is good and the place busy when we arrived at around 12:30. Despite this the service was good and£ we weren’t hassled to eat up and leave. In warmer weather you could sit out on the terrace overlooking the lake. It’s a little difficult to find as it’s ‘off the beaten track’ down a private road, but it’s definitely worth a visit. The What 3 Words location is ///loud.major.gasp.

Brilliant little hidden gem. Super lovely and kind staff. Gorgeous setting. Yummy food. I would recommend this place to everyone. Family friendly. Great place.

The service was attentive, and the ambiance inside the restaurant was comfortable. However, one area for improvement is the restroom facilities. While the restrooms were clean and well-maintained, they were noticeably cold, which made the experience less comfortable. The temperature difference from the rest of the restaurant was quite stark. This could be easily addressed by adjusting the heating system in that area or using portable heaters during colder months. Adding weatherstripping or insulation around doors and windows could also help keep the warmth in. A more budget-friendly solution might be installing a self-closing hinge on the main door to ensure it stays shut after use. Addressing this issue would enhance the overall comfort and better align with the standards the restaurant already upholds.

What a delightful find in this quiet village. Lynne, the proprietor, personally served us and indulged our many questions with grace and patience. The loaf bread is brilliant— soft interior, flavorful, beautifully baked. I chose the spelt and honey, topped with rolled oats. It did not disappoint. My family opted for meat and egg sandwiches accompanied by sweet treats. They quickly gobbled up their meat and egg selections. The frangipane tart, though too sweet for my taste, has an excellent blend of flavors. A single bite satisfied. We’ll definitely return and support this lovely bakery.

First time visiting this pub, and will definitely be back. First thing I noticed was how nice the pub smelt. There was a fun atmosphere and very friendly staff. Felt like I was visiting someone's home. We were served really quickly every time. Elvis was a huge unexpected bonus. He was fantastic! The food was also delicious. Looking forward to going back. Thanks Sophie and team.

Great pub! They had the fire going when we arrived, and it had a lovely friendly atmosphere. The place was very clean and the Christmas decorations were spot on. We were late for lunch, but still served. The food was only ok but we will definitely be back again. Loved the location.
