This pub serves traditional pub food and for those that want something a little bit more special their blackboard specials will offer you some Thai favourites and a good selection of fish and meat dishes. All tried and tested favourites so why do I always go for the pie of the day? Probably because it’s always delicious and packed with flavour! Well done and thank you for looking after us both on our recent visit.

Amazing Sunday Lunch
Recently had Sunday lunch here. There is a wide choice of food. They don't just do Roasts on a Sunday but the full menu. Food is freshly prepared and delicious. Presentation is very good. Portions are generous. Prices are reasonable for the area. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had roast chicken and chicken pie.
The pub is really trying to diversify post lockdown. Ranging from takeaways, to cream teas on a Saturday, take away coffees, marquee in the garden for the British 'summer' and beyond, quiz nights, special menus.
I would heartily recommend this pub as a venue to eat or just to have a drink. You'll get a warm welcome.

Fantastic local pub with amazing food and great service.
Ended up visiting as we were staying in the village and it was the only place serving food nearby. Turns out we ran into a goldmine, surrounded by locals we immediately felt a part of the community. Looking at the menu options were minimal but had everything you could want (for somewhere I imagine doesn’t get too crowded i understand why having many items would be a bad business decision). Me and my friend both ordered the 10oz burgers with fries and a side of onion rings. IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!! possibly the best burger I’d ever eaten (and I’ve had some fancy burgers in my life). For a local pub in a small village it blew us away serving food that outperforms even the big dogs of the food industry.

Excellent experience and a great way to end our week long holiday.

I have had dinner here three times this year. This time brought whole family over. The food here is top notch.  And the price is very reasonable for this quality of food.
This village pub got that perfect rustic vibe with comfy seating , warm atmosphere and relaxing garden.

The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home.

What a lovely pub, couldn’t really fault it. So rare to find a proper pub where the staff are so friendly.
Prices very reasonable, log fire lovely.
