Recommended by a local friend and not disappointed at all with this choice ! Great café to eat a typical English breakfast, many suggestions are available and everything I tasted was even better than expected. As a tourist, the atmosphere is quite exotic thanks to the cafeteria look of the place. In conclusion, if you can find a nearby parking spot, do not hesitate to try this place !

Great coffee shop hidden in one of the tranquil narrow path ways of Guildford high Street. Great food served in a very tiny setting which gave us a little bit of a squashed feeling. But in general it was a fantastic experience, gorgeous coffee and a lovely Mother's day treat.

- Variety of coffee options, including café Americano, milkway latte, and Irish frappe mocha. - Hazelnut truffle latte was too sweet for my taste. - Menu offers classic English breakfast, waffles, and avocado toast. - Gluten-free options available. - Lovely and cosy decoration. - Sad that Pets not allowed inside the coffee shop 😔

Cafe with quite a large garden area (partially covered - they have a heated yurt!) which is well done up and nice to sit in. Good selection of cakes and drinks with table service. A bit pricey though!

First time came and amazing village… we had latte and duck (which is full)breakfast which was very delicious. What amazed me was the breakfast was hot till half way through as I ate slowly… lol. Anyw, that was super tasty for me. The whole experience was lovely and we planned to come back again some time in the near future.

This is my second time in Shere and at The Dabbling Duck. I came last year as well. I travel from New Zealand and love coming to this place with my family here in England. Great food and staff.

Had a lovely breakfast at the dabbling duck. The staff were all very friendly and service and food could not be faulted. There was only one fly in the ointment. We sat inside the cafe as did a lot of dog owners. My friend has allergies and is a bit wary of dogs so it was a bit off putting to her. They were also all a bit over excited and ‘talking’ to each other which made it hard for us to converse. I’ve no objection to well behaved dogs but not everyone feels the same for various reasons and they are not necessarily just being intolerant. The Dabbling Duck has a large heated marquee outside as well as covered heated outdoor seating. Would it not be a good compromise to welcome dogs only to these areas and keep the small inside seating area pet free. Other than that small niggle it was a lovely brunch before a bracing walk in beautiful countryside surrounding Shere.

Amazing little hole in the wall. Tasty coffee but it’s their incredible toasted sandwiches that stole the show. I would go as far as to say… best toastie I’ve ever had! (P.S. my pic does it zero justice.)

We had a lovely time visiting Canopy Coffee. The smoothies were great, and the toasties were perfect for our lunch stop. Staff were friendly and definitely recommended.

Such a great coffee shop. My husband is a coffee snob and highly recommends the authentic and variety of coffee here. The people were very friendly as well. Only lost a star because there really isn't any seating (I understand it is limited to their space) but great idea to have two ordering stations to keep the shop from overcrowding. Wish there was one closer to us!

Having been past Krema a few times as one of a few coffee shops in Guildford, I'm kicking myself for not going in sooner. Amazing staff and a brilliant light atmosphere. This is perfectly located on the corner of Tunsgate, and Castle street for you to stop and get some work done or quickly pop in for a hot drink before carrying on your route. The coffee was rich and very well made with care as you'll see from my photo but what caught was the almost warm family vibe you get when you enter. Everyone's smiling, happy to serve and engage in conversation. The owner Steve is a lovely host and very attentive. Foods also pretty good 👍🏼. I highly recommend Krema if your in Guildford as your no1 coffee stop against the BIG brands.

An unassuming spot that turns out consistently great coffee. If you’re after a great cup they serve Assembly beans from a La Marzocco machine in loveramic cups. Their food is great and they serve a range of pastries and sweets plus bacon rolls, granola and yoghurt pots plus more. Their staff are very friendly and the cafe is close to the main shopping area and the castle, as well as close to public transport links. Worth noting that this is a laptop free cafe but it is clearly signed at the counter.

We went on Easter Sunday for a set menu roast. It was excellent! Beautifully cooked and served and good value for money. Would be great if they did this more often!

We went for lunch and what a wonderful place. Staff lovely, attentive, welcoming and very friendly. The food was fantastic. Very tasty and beautifully presented. Location by the river is a great addition to Guildford and very good wheelchair accessibility. There is a large car park right next door , so parking is not a problem. This is a place I would definitely visit again.

The Boathouse is a fantastic little cafe tucked away by the river. They clearly use high-quality ingredients, and it shows in every dish. Their breakfast is a real treat - the sausages are packed with meat, the spinach is perfectly seasoned, and the hash browns are crispy little bites of potato goodness. I particularly loved the English breakfast. The sourdough toast was delicious, the eggs were cooked to perfection, and the whole meal was just really well balanced. The cafe itself is lovely, with great views of the river. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a delicious breakfast.

Excellent full English, good quality sausages and black pudding. Friendly, family run place.

The cafe is called Triggers it was lovely. Its a typical greasy spoon with all the regular full English foods. Everything was cooked well and it came out quickly. But what really stood out was the service. We'd had a particularly bad night with the newborn and we just wanted a bit of easy eating. The owner, very kindly, held our baby whilst we ate. It meant we could have a small break and really enjoy our food. This place is 10 out of 10. We will be eating there again soon. P.s. I dont think baby sitting is part of the service but we were, and still are, very grateful.

I came in here the other day for a cup of coffee which is very nice. They had lots of treats on offer and I ended up buying a slice of treacle slice when I got to the till I realised the treacle slice was £5.50. It was very nice and worth it but it did make me question at £1 per bite. Is it overpriced overall though this is a very nice coffee shop and I know I will definitely be back

Customer service is variable, one of the other comments here is right; often the ovens are switched off way before closing time so heated up food isn't available. In addition, at times it's untidy, with sticky tables and looks in need of some proper TLC. On one occasion I ordered a jacket potato with cheese and when it arrived, it was as if it hadn't even been warmed up. After being "reheated" at my request, it came back to me with all cheese missing, just a hot potato, I had paid for potato and cheese. Went for a quick cuppa at 4.05pm today and it was closed and in darkness when on the door it said shuts at 5pm. I don't mind this, but there was no note on the window to let people know what the opening situation is. This place really needs someone on site to ensure consistency of customer service in all senses, since at its best it's really good. Two new cafes have opened up locally, Esquires now has nearby competition.

Great coffee and very quick and friendly service. Got dropped off here by a friend to then catch a train from just around the country. Felt very welcomed by conter staff . Lovely simple Bacon sandwich freshly cooked. This place is immaculate! Great place for breakfast before getting on the train.

A popular cafe which offers takeaway and eat in. We had sandwiches and tea. The sandwiches were made to order, with plenty of filling 😋. My husband used the facilities, he said was clean, but downstairs. I'm not sure if there's a disabled toilet that is on the same level as the cafe. Staff were polite, and we didn't have to wait long to be served. We called in at lunchtime.

First time we had a fantastic brunch today. Fresh and delicious. The staff is very friendly . It way to early to try the Hungarian goulash but definetely come back shortly . Thank you so much 🙏🇭🇺
