My wife and I had a lovely breakfast here recently and we were really pleased about it. The food was absolutely delicious, made with fresh quality ingredients. Manu has lots of ways to combine your meal. The staff have a positive and welcoming attitude. Very good coffee and plenty of drinks to choose from. Cakes look absolutely delicious. If you are in the area you must try Juliets. We will definitely visit this place again!

Once upon a Saturday, my son and I decided to take a leisurely stroll around Tunbridge Wells. As we wandered the charming pantiles, we found ourselves tempted by the aroma of coffee and the promise of delicious desserts at Juliets. Despite the nearing closing time, three friendly and energetic young ladies kindly agreed to serve us, even though they were closing the till. My son opted for a gluten-free cake, while I chose a cheesecake. We both agreed that these pastries were some of the best we had ever tasted. Highly recommended, indeed! Warm welcome was followed by piping hot coffee and quick turnaround for the English breakfast with an added serve of black pudding. Whilst the café appears somewhat basic the food is spot on, the place is clean and the service efficient!

Lovely family business, with good food and coffee. The place is clean, tidy and absolutely great to have an all day and Breakfast. There is plenty of parking around. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. If you want a good English breakfast this is the place for you! Usually people that try it once they come again. So, if you are local or just visiting Rusthall you have to try this place. Coffee is absolutely lovely!

The Owner J is the most incredible person, we highly recommend all of their dishes! The service is amazing. We came all the way from London and have not found a place that compares on the level of service, warmth and heart and soul invested. Please bring your whole family and dine in or take home and share.

Was recommended here by a friend and finally tried it on Friday night. Really different menu with lots of options you don't often see so it was nice to try lots of different things. We were recommended some things on the menu by our waiter which were all delicious. The service was attentive and friendly and we will definitely be back 🙂

This place serves some very tasty and authentic Indian street food. We had a variety of dishes to share and all were great. The service was spot on - quick, warm and welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. We can't wait to return.

Food is always wonderful here! We love the variety of choice and the relaxed feel of the cafe! People are friendly and personable. If you want to have a quick bite, that’s yummy and not fussed about the atmosphere, you should definitely try Yates.

Very nice food and friendly staff ! Good prices also , perfect little cafe ! Only one recommendation, I couldn’t even see in the shop window as it was so steamed up it looked closed from the outside. Definitely a good idea to wipe the widows each morning would get more customers. I nearly walked pass and went elsewhere 👍🏻😀

Good cheap food, clean and friendly staff. The proprietor and staff are very friendly. The best thing is that despite the menu having no apparent vegan options other than baked potato and beans, one of the pasta dishes can be adapted and is probably the best thing on the menu. The pasta and vegetable source is one of the best I have had anywhere - I ask for it to be made mild rather than hot flavour it would come. The café does the very best, the salad is basic and fresh. The veg that is not overcooked. You can specify variations, and they will do any variation to make many things vegan, lightly cooked, mild as you wish. Three adapted vegan dishes pictured, and there is also a modified breakfast with chips instead of egg and toast, roast dinner but with mushrooms, and baked potato. Avocado salad is nice without prawns. Morning coffee and cake is not possible, but avocado on toast is very nice instead. You are not time-limited, and you don't need to book. There probably is no segregation between vegan and non-vegan, so it will have some "may contain". But Hector, the owner, takes care to meet your dietary request and may take care of food segregation, the kitchen is open to be seen and is clean. This café has been a nice surprise. There is power and Wi-Fi.

Convenient, cosy and easy to park. Friendly staff, who make an effort to serve great coffee. Plenty of space to sit, a combination of tables and chairs, and padded benches. I was satisfied with the service and the coffee. This Costa shop did not disappoint. Will visit again.

During this time of day, mid week - it wasn't too busy,Comfortable, not hectic. A medium sized Costa (with about 15-20 tables, including two sets of high backed chairs for a sense of comfort). The staff were relaxed and friendly, and the coffee was carefully made. Had an all day breakfast wrap - which was fine, I suppose (but bland tbh). Only got it because Costa had dropped a discount treat in my app! I will come back regularly as an occasional morning pit stop to do some emails.

Friendly, polite, and efficient staff. It was really refreshing to be served by such lovely people :) we were having a bad day so it made the difference! Food and coffee was all prepared quickly. The inside is nice too - it’s pretty roomy and there’s a good amount of soft comfortable chairs. Plenty of parking as it’s in the retail park. No complaints!

The inside is very pleasing. The menu is extensive with something for all tastes. A good lunchtime menu too at fair prices. The food presentation was very good but some dishes were disappointing. Wine by the glass is over priced. I requested a table by a wall to help two disabled members of our group and we were given a table in the middle! Happily we could move to a better suited table. There is no indication in the car park of the entrance location so we went to the front on the roadside and my poor husband struggled up steps to a terrace and past garden chairs to the entrance. We asked if there was a flat access and were told yes, at the back but the door is locked so you have to ring to enter! I went to look and discovered two disabled spaces and a flat walk on the terrace to the entrance but again, not indicated. When you don’t know a place it’s good to have helpful signs.

Lovely time at the Hand and Sceptre. Extremely accommodating for the whole family. The waiter even bought out Christmas goodie bags for the children. Waiter Vito was so lovely and cracking jokes. Feedback on the chocolate brownie- was little difference between the mini brownie and the normal size which made it difficult to tell which was who’s. Dessert portion sizes could be bigger but lovely experience.

We were exceptionally well looked after by Vito for whom nothing was too much trouble. He generated lots of laughs and was swift to serve us. Our food was great and we would recommend a family lunch at the H&S

I recently dined at Hand & Sceptre, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The meal was outstanding, with each dish prepared to perfection. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was beautiful—definitely a treat for both the eyes and the palate. What truly elevated the evening, however, was the excellent service provided by our waiter, Vito. He was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave thoughtful recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. Vito’s warm personality and professionalism made us feel welcome and well cared for throughout the meal. Overall, this was a top-notch dining experience, and I highly recommend, especially with such an excellent team member like Vito ensuring a memorable evening. I look forward to returning soon!
