A lovely little cafe/restaurant. Not your typical cafe you get in town especially dover! Lots of variety and the food is absolutely delicious... the times I have been I didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive and it was lovely and hot. The owners are also very nice and welcoming. There's a really good atmosphere. I have had the poached eggs and ham on toast. The seafood linguine is VERY tasty! The sharing platter was also šŸ‘Œ highly recommend xx

The food here is fantastic, my wife and I sat down and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. The food they use is hi quality, and the flavours used are divine, to say the least. The service was beautiful, and the atmosphere was lovely with great decor and soft music playing in the background. We got there just after it opened, and it was already becoming quite full, so don't leave it too late. If you're in Dover, this is thee place for a delicious breakfast!

Discovered this charming restaurant while on a day trip in Dover. I found the atmosphere of another era, simple, authentic and friendly. After a quick browsing at the menu I went on a quest for an ATM as cards arenā€™t accepted. We had the breakfast 1 and 4, which are generous and tasty. But for me the surprise was the latte which was outstanding, of much better quality than many coffee shops. So if you visit Dover, donā€™t hesitate to stop by.

This is a lovely, lovely coffee shop, the atmosphere is warm, friendly and relaxed, the Manager/Owner and staff are calm and friendly and the place itself has 4 different seating areas - 2 are outside - the courtyard at the back is a delight. Super clean loos always a good indicator I feel - the whole place feels ā€˜lovedā€™. Coffee is really good too ā€¦ but the cake! Wow! THE best gluten free Lemon Cake (also choc brownie) Iā€™ve ever had and so fresh! The icing on the cake is that they are SO dog friendly .. we really enjoy going there and so does our Teddie! Thanks for the doggy treats too!

The Best Coffee in Dover by a country mile. The staff here are great, friendly, and attentive, always ready to greet you with a smile. Whenever I visit, I always see a few familiar faces, indicative of the consistency of service. Could not recommend more. Food is simple CafƩ food, done well (They stock Gluten Free Bread!), and there is a large selection of fresh pastries and cakes. Get in early because it fills up quickly, and if you visit in the summer, there's a beautiful, suntrap, courtyard garden out the back.

Wellingtons Coffeehouse and Bar

9 High St, Dover CT16 1DP, UK | Cafe
P: 07920 588663

Rating: 4.7 (116) Price Level:

Easily five stars from myself. The staff are easy going and polite. The food is top notch not like other places in the area, yes it is a bit on the pricey side however the food is tasty and fresh. Iā€™ve changed from going to my old cafe and go here instead now. Itā€™s on a main road so if you drive your have to park around the corner on Effingham Crescent. I am not sure about wheelchair friendly as I didnā€™t notice but I am sure you can get in there with a wheelchair as Iā€™ve seen people in there with their prams and push chairs. Depending on what time you visit it can be pretty busy and Iā€™ve witnessed people having to wait as it is pretty popular amongst the locals.

We had a very tasty and filling, quality breakfast here on a cold, rainy Sunday morning. They were on full, so we got our order after a long waiting time, sitting next to the door where the cold outside air was coming in when opened... But when we got our dishes, that compensated it. My eggs florentine was yummy. I'm still overwhelmed by how tasty it was. My husband's English breakfast was good, but not the tastiest that we ate. The cappuccino was also a good one.

If you check my reviews, you know I am hard to please. This place cooked great food, plus it was nice and cosy. I highly recommend the roast turkey, it was fantastic. The roast salmon took a bit longer but the staff brought us the turkey first and extra plates for us to get started on the turkey first. The salmon was cooked to perfection as well. Brilliant place to grab food on Dover.

Stop by this great place to grab breakfast in Dover! The food was affordable and tasty. The all-day breakfast selection is varied, with vegetarian options as well as the ability to order a sandwich or a full breakfast. The waitstaff and chef are very friendly and quick to chat if you're in the mood. The restaurant is decorated in lots of Charlie Chaplin paraphernalia and memorabilia, from figurines to pictures to a hate & cane combo. Location-wise, it is walkable to most sights in Dover and the train (10 min. walk).

I passed by here a few years ago when I was traveling around Dover. I dined here on my last day in Dover and I remember the owner being extremely friendly, allowing me to use his WiFi to make an emergency contact. The food was reasonably priced and the place clean and comfortable. I'm glad to say that I came across this place on my last day, since it was a wonderful place to simply sit, eat, and relax. If I ever were to visit Dover again, I would most definitely visit here again.
