I recently visited Cardigan Arms for Sunday lunch, and I must say, I was blown away by what this pub has to offer. The tasteful original decor combined with a busy atmosphere and a great selection of local beers makes this **the** Sunday lunch destination for anyone finding themselves hungry on Kirkstall Road. Though I was ultimately very pleased with both the quality and value of the food I ordered, I do have a few small criticisms regarding my culinary experience. To my tastes, the carrot was undercooked. Furthermore, although very nice, there was far too much red cabbage compared to the other food items on the plate. Finally, the sticky toffee pudding had a very pleasant flavor, but I would have preferred if the pudding itself was considerably hotter. To conclude, it’s a nice pub.
Absolutely love this pub! It always has a warming atmosphere and I love that it's Kirkstall Brewery, the pints are always spot on. The decor is spot on, you feel like you're walking into a proper old boozer. The staff have always been friendly whenever I've visited too. I am yet to eat here but I have no doubt it'll be good! 👍
If you ever find yourself in Leeds on a Sunday and you fancy a roast, then the Cardigan Arms is the only destination. We didn't know what to expect, so the best roast I've had in my 49 years of enjoying our national dish.blew my mind!!Like most, the No 1 (until today) was my Mum's..... Sorry Mum!!!, but everything was perfect, from how the multitude of veg was cooked, to the Porchetta and crackling, and the presentation. The sticky toffee pud was banging as well!. And to top it off it's a beautiful old traditional pub with some great traditional Ales and friendly helpful staff. A true Gem!
