Nick and his team carried out a significant amount of work on our 1850 Kent Peg Tiled, cottage. We had a roof valley completely stripped and retiled, 3 of 4 tile-hung top floor elevations stripped, insulated and retiled and a leak around a chimney fixed with new lead flashing and tiles. From the moment I met Nick I had complete confidence and trust in him, both in terms of his knowledge and experience in working with heritage properties, but also his professional and friendly manner. Nick has professional and personal integrity and is as honest as they come. No corners were cut, everything was done as it should be and lots of repair short cuts that had been taken over the life of the house were put back to how they should be. They encountered a few additional problems throughout the project, but Nick’s comment was always, ‘don’t worry, you’re in safe hands’ and, indeed, we were! Nick’s team are superb and adhere to his requirement for everything to be done correctly and neatly, as if they were working on their own properties; particular thanks to Tom who did a superb job for us. Nick’s team were extremely polite and respectful to us and our property, they turned up exactly when they said they would and kept us fully informed at every stage of the work. I wholeheartedly recommend Nick and his company: extremely knowledgeable, professional, reliable and honest- a ‘safe pair of hands’!

Tom and Kevin fixed my leaking garage roof. They removed the existing gully and replaced with new and replaced all rotten felt. They did a grand job and were very tidy. They took on the extra unexpected work without drama once tiles were removed.

Simon came out quickly after a storm and repaired our roof in a very timely manner, he worked quickly and cleared up after himself.

Simon is a reliable, accountable, knowledgeable, hard-working, experienced roofer, who’s very good at communicating so that you know what’s happening each day and what’ll be done when. He swept up daily, and kept the place as tidy and clean as possible while the roofing work was in progress. We’re very happy with the result! We would highly recommend him for roofing, roofing repairs and building maintenance and repair work. Great attention to detail and reasonably priced too.

Alan and his team undertook an excellent refurbishment of a flat roof at my property. It also included replacing two worn out roof lights, which had seen better days. I cannot speak more highly of the team effort, standard òf finish and tidying up after themselves. In addition, they came later to fit a new dry verge system to both gable ends. There can't be many firms who charge less than the original quote and, indeed, their expertise is second to none.

We have used this company for roof and chimney works on 3 properties on 4 occasions. From estimate through to job completion, site clearing and invoicing I thoroughly recommend. On some occasions they have given a suggestion that saved me money rather than max money out of me for the job. I cannot recommend Jim at Calnan Roofing highly enough! he has completed varying jobs for us over the years on our house projects and most recently installed a complete new roof on our new Barn. Jim managed to source some reclaimed tiles for us so that the building matched in nicely with the rest of the house and his eye for detail and perfect finish are second to none. We certainly wouldn't use anyone else!!

We used Jim and his team to tile our extension using Spicer clay tiles. His work is fantastic and he takes great pride in his craft. We would not hesitate to use him again and we are already recommending him to others .

After a poor experience with another business I contacted John at JT Roofing, and I have to say this was a lifesaver of a decision. They where on time, professional and far exceeded what I expected, I would highly recommend.

It's not often these days to have your expectations exceeded, but I did with SLK Roofing. I had SLK carry out remedial work to our roof, hanging tiles and fascia/guttering. SLK Chris and team done a fantastic job replacing new baton felt tiles also including a new velux roof window. Chris gave me a good quote for the work to be done. Chris and team were respectful of my property leaving it tidy every day. A few months later I had Chris replace the felt on my flat roof, I have solar panels on there which were removed carefully and frame work, they were replaced with equal care once the felt was replaced. Chris Vincent, the owner of SLK Roofing, replaced the flat roof of our house extension together with his wife in October 2024. The previous roof was about 35 years old and had developed a leak. We waited 6 weeks before writing this review to ensure all was well and the leak had gone (fingers crossed. We are very satisfied with the professional work, the materials used, the care taken with our property and a very pleasant husband & wife working team! Highly recommend SLK. Chris really knows his stuff. Offers helpful advice and tells you what’s best for the job. I’ve used him on several projects over the last 10 years ranging from a full conversion of a flat garage roof to a pitch with tiles, rubber roof on my summerhouse, to a mineral roof of my shed. We have used Canterbury Roofing and Building over many years - they carried out a large roof installation for us . It was a fantastic job when completed. Attention to detail was second to none and the roof looks fabulous. They also carried out roof repair work on a Grade 2 listed cottage for us - no more leaks! They also fully replaced the roof on our commercial warehouse . They did a huge amount of work too, on a block of flats where we were involved in the management of the building.
