The food was amazing! Highly recommend the Galloway Rib to share—the sauce was unreal. The brown butter hummus was also a great way to start. We came for NYE, and the experience was lovely.

We had a great meal last night (we were squeezed in and accommodated at the last minute, which was great!). We are so relieved to finally have somewhere like Ember in Hertford. It’s what we have been missing. Food, ambience and service were top notch. We will be back very soon.

We had a fantastic meal at Ember. We took a wide selection of the small plates, the oysters and the soft shell crab were a highlight and then we had a med rare ribeye cooked to perfection with fries. What a treat. Great service from the manager, he made us feel welcome and was extremely knowledgeable. Top notch music and ambience too. Thank you!

This was an excellent restaurant in Hertford. We went for Mother’s Day and had an excellent time. The food is to share and the quality is second to none. I highly recommended you try this place.

A relative new place in Ware and how refreshing it is to see an upmarket quality bar and restaurant in this town. This place has both a nice bar with both indoor and outdoor seating, and (upstairs) a restaurant. This review is of a Thursday evening cocktails sitting outside. The 5 stars (which I don’t give out easy) are for a lovely ambiance, excellent service, brilliant cocktails and a good bottle of wine. Thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside and excellent service. Not cheap, but a great place to spend an evening out.

Popped in for lunch while passing. Sat outside in the sunshine and chose the set lunch. Food was fabulous along with a super service from a top notch waiter, highly recommended.

This restaurant hasn't failed to please in the few years we have dined there. Not often, as we don't live in the vicinity, but when we visit the area, this is a restaurant that is on our list. The food comes correctly in the fine dining category. The chef definitely knows what he is doing. And doing it well. The Lamb rump is delicious m, tender and well flavoured. The Menu is quite extensive and this sometimes indicates short cuts are taken to produce the meals but there is no evidence here as all arrives fresh, hot and expertly prepared. Not a restaurant to miss if you are near Ware in Hertfordshire. And we will be back!

Very welcoming. The regular menu had lots of fabulous sounding options. We ended up choosing from their fixed price lunch menu which offered plenty of choices for a group of four on a first time visit. The service was excellent and the food superb. I ended with the cheese plate which was a lovely selection of diverse and interesting British cheeses. Looking forward to a second visit.

We held a surprise 40th Wedding Anniversary celebration at Maltons on Saturday for our parents... the evening was perfect, and better than we could have hoped for! My sister and I were particular about how we wanted the space to look as there were lots of personal touches we wanted to make. Ali was very welcoming in letting us do whatever we wanted to, he was there whenever we needed him and nothing was too much effort. Everyone commented on how lovely the food was. We had 30 guests having 3 course meals, and every sitting came out quickly and all together, the food was hot and presented beautifully. The staff were all extremely friendly and again, nothing was too much effort for them. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening at this venue. It was a beautiful surprise for our wonderful parents and the aim was to remind then of how loved and appreciated they are. Maltons certainly helped to make that happen! We will be sure to go back again soon, and would highly recommend making a visit - you won't be disappointed. Thanks again to Ali and the team, we greatly appreciate it xx

Great place. Had a really good value meal here on Sunday. Two course for not very much. Starters we had the caper salad and terrine. Both plates licked clean. They had run out of sole so I went for the steak which was immense. Fishcake equally good. Desserts were also high quality. Would definitely recommend this place. Decors nice, staff friendly and food delicious. Would go again. I’m closer to Hitchin so want to try that one next.

I don't even know where to begin with this best kept secret! From arranging the booking with Rafi, the manager, right the way through to enjoying a first class meal at this fine dining fish restaurant. There were meat options, too! The mushroom starter was incredible. The daughter ordered the Halibut and I ordered the whole lemon sole... to say they were delicious beyond words is an understatement! Absolutely exquisite. I had the rhubarb meringue and daughter had the vanilla ice cream with hot coffee poured over it. STUNNING. RAFI! thank you for looking after us before my work trip back to China x We're looking forward to visiting again! Only one picture taken pf the mushroom starter! Attended with work party and had the ham hock to start, a perfectly cooked steak (and chips) as main and a chocolate mousse to finish. The food was fantastic and could tell they care about the food they cook. Staff were amazing and could not be more attentive and friendly. Always on hand to grab drinks and assist with anything needed. The restaurant itself was a great atmosphere and looked great. And was in a perfectly central location.

The best Spanish restaurant. Everything is so delicious, especially the paella - generously packed with seafood! One of our favourite spots in Ware. Service is always very friendly and accommodating.

This has been our local restaurant of choice for a few years. It consistently serves excellent food with a changing selection of specials. The pricing is reasonable, service great. They don't overbook or cram people in. T

This is the best meal we have had in a long time. Food and service was impeccable. We will be back and bring friends next time. It is very small and we had a bar table which was very comfortable.

The vibes were immaculate, the food was very nice, and Tommy (the owner) was so welcoming and a great guy to talk to. There was a blonde girl with a smile that lit up the room and amazing live music, I’ll be going back there with my mum.

We have been wanting to try this place for a while - we were not disappointed. The service was impeccable - so much so that we couldn't even describe it as 'service', more like visiting family. Meeting Tommy was a pleasure, the passion he has for his restaurant is evident in every facet of the experience. Roda was our server and the warmth we felt and genuine conversation we had elevated the experience entirely. We sat outside and to me, a Cypriot who misses Cyprus, it felt like we were really there. On Friday and Saturday nights they host live music and we will definitely return for this! Now, of course, the food. The menu is fairly extensive and this can be a red flag, but clearly they have my yiayia (grandma) and four of her friends there in the kitchen because everything we tried was cooked with love. You could taste the freshness of the ingredients, and with so many "Greek" restaurants out there, trying to strah from the tried and tested, this taste of the traditional was both welcome and refreshing. We could not have asked for anything more, incredible quality of food and very generous portions. My search for a good Cypriot restaurant is over. My days of wondering the streets looking for a good souvlaki have come to an end. Strongly recommend. We can not wait to return!

6 of us went to celebrate my mothers birthday. A lovely restaurant. Service was amazing. Food was delicious. A true greek vibe. Outstanding.

Came here for lunch for the first time. Ordered their lunchtime deal, 2 tacos, a side and drink for £12. (I think.) Food was lovely. The staff were fantastic. Sooo friendly, polite and welcoming. We got there just before they were closing and a couple of people came in just after they shut down for a while. The staff apologised but then agreed to serve them, which was so kind. Loved the decor of the place too. Definitely recommend and will be back to try more food soon!

Visited this to celebrate a family birthday. The place is very charming and has good vibes. The cocktails were well made. The starters were fresh and tasted nice. The main course menu was not the usual one would find in a Mexican restaurant. And they were well done and fairly large portions. We struggled to finish our mains. The only issue with the place was the service. It appeared they cater a lot to takeaways and as a result their eat-in service was very slow. A quaint genuine place which would be even better if they manage to sort out their service.

As spanish as a mexican woman I can say this is a good place to come and enjoy some mexican food, food is very good and the portions are huge don't subestimate the size of the tortilla. Cheff Miguel is very good and takes his autentic version of mexican food to our table! Definitely, you should try and enjoy some tacos churros and lovely mezcal! We come from watford to try some new mexican restaurants and I can say these are the top 3 in london area. I don't like reggeton on the music. I prefer some typical mexican music unas buenas rancheras con la chela y los tacos!

Top class bacon and egg bap. Was sublime and reasonably priced! Friendly service at the counter. They also take card.

Fantastic local cafe. The food is excellent and tasty. The staff are all friendly, welcoming, helpful and very efficient. It has that proper local feel to it, that I think is really special in a small town.

Me and my partner who has already reviewed your fantastic restaurant travelled from Birmingham to visit family and picked Vodina. Well what a good choice this was. I mean it's in a lovely setting in the quaint, beautiful town of Ware. Gam and Gengis are warm and welcoming host/owners. Oh and the food is top quality, super tasty and the portion sizes are very generous. No doubt we will be visiting Vodina again and won't miss the opportunity to see the Belly Dancer. Very welcoming, caring and baby friendly service. Good selection of healthy food options for both adults and kids. Food was very well presented and fresh/tasty ingredients. Overall spacious yet cozy venue. We will be coming back with friends next time!

Came across this place by pure coincidence, and i was not disappointed. Had a mixed shish and the homemade doner, both mouthwatering. Great atmosphere suitable for family and parties.

Came here tonight from Birmingham and had an absolutely fab meal. Food is stunning, tasty and there is so much of it! Great value for money. The service is tops 👌 we were well looked after by Gam and her husband. Lovely people. We will definitely come here again for sure. Sadly we missed the dancers as traveling back home, but the evening was special and highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited for the first time last night as part of a small family meal. Staff very friendly, and a nice venue, although very noisy i think due to the high ceilings and open plan layout. The food was nice. Not amazing, but not bad. A little overpriced. Probably wouldn't go back sadly.
