We held a surprise 40th Wedding Anniversary celebration at Maltons on Saturday for our parents... the evening was perfect, and better than we could have hoped for! My sister and I were particular about how we wanted the space to look as there were lots of personal touches we wanted to make. Ali was very welcoming in letting us do whatever we wanted to, he was there whenever we needed him and nothing was too much effort. Everyone commented on how lovely the food was. We had 30 guests having 3 course meals, and every sitting came out quickly and all together, the food was hot and presented beautifully. The staff were all extremely friendly and again, nothing was too much effort for them. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening at this venue. It was a beautiful surprise for our wonderful parents and the aim was to remind then of how loved and appreciated they are. Maltons certainly helped to make that happen! We will be sure to go back again soon, and would highly recommend making a visit - you won't be disappointed. Thanks again to Ali and the team, we greatly appreciate it xx

This restaurant hasn't failed to please in the few years we have dined there. Not often, as we don't live in the vicinity, but when we visit the area, this is a restaurant that is on our list. The food comes correctly in the fine dining category. The chef definitely knows what he is doing. And doing it well. The Lamb rump is delicious m, tender and well flavoured. The Menu is quite extensive and this sometimes indicates short cuts are taken to produce the meals but there is no evidence here as all arrives fresh, hot and expertly prepared. Not a restaurant to miss if you are near Ware in Hertfordshire. And we will be back!

Visited Maltons for the first time for NYE, which was a set £70 menu including a champagne cocktail on arrival. There was also live music & a magician who came round to tables to perform magic tricks, which was a nice touch and made the night feel more special. We were super impressed with the food & cocktails. We both ordered the fillet for our mains, and it was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a very long time. Perfectly cooked & just so tender. Only slight issue we had was having to wait 15 minutes after our reservation time to be seated, but the food & service made up for this 😊 we both agreed we have to come back before we had even left! Overall a lovely experience and a great way to spend our NYE.

Very welcoming. The regular menu had lots of fabulous sounding options. We ended up choosing from their fixed price lunch menu which offered plenty of choices for a group of four on a first time visit. The service was excellent and the food superb. I ended with the cheese plate which was a lovely selection of diverse and interesting British cheeses. Looking forward to a second visit.

Wow what a beautiful restaurant with exceptional service and wow the chefs are working their magic, the Owner has a great location and an excellent restaurant team.
