Absolutely fantastic meal out, perfect for celebrating a family birthday event. The food was gorgeous and full of flavour, and the service was incredibly friendly and quick! Will definitely come back again, I’ve got my eye on a sharing platter next time!

Very good authentic BBQ, maybe a little pricey but you do feel like the quality is good so it's mostly worth it. Had a sharing platter to myself and was very satisfied and had a beef rib to take home for a snack later! Would definitely come back as a treat!

Yummy meat in my belly! The home made sauces were good! Fries were banging l, crispy, well seasoned Good amount of food for 2 people with the pit master and good variety Fried chicken was super good Crispy skin on the pitmasted chicken 🍗 I had a good meal!

A wonderful place. Crisps are perfect, meat is a delight. They are so good that might have something tasty for vegetarians. Beer of the house is just out of this world. A delicious taste which is leaving you speechless and wanting for more. An A 🌟. Place.

Excellent fish restaurant in Hitchin. All dishes ordered on our table were really good. Also does meat and veggie options. Hake is recommended. Good service and atmosphere. Mains around £20 and worth it. Parking available within short distance.

If you want a gut busting big plate of food this is probably not for you. If you want beautifully cooked and presented fine dining then this is the place. The missus and I enjoyed a fabulous evening here. My trout was especially delicious. Service great too Thank you

We have been to this restaurant/ cafe many times and never had a bad meal. Food is delicious and piping hot as it’s cooked fresh in the small kitchen at the front of house. Very reasonably priced. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for our Thai food. Highly recommended

Stopped off for a quick lunch, met by a very welcoming waitress, enjoyed our food from the lunch menu which was excellent value. Service was excellent. The only downside was the small group of shouty women all talking over each other making the place very noisy.

Was a really lovely bottomless very attentive lovely service. They had tech issues but were apologetic and completely upfront, but a little late due to to it but they never made us feel unwelcome or unattended for long! Defo recommend. Lexi was super lovely and sweet

It was my 21st party on Saturday and I had the best time! Lovely staff including Danni who was super helpful with moving tables, organising drinks and helping with everything and above! We visited on Saturday lunchtime with family for a birthday meal. The food was amazing, even better than expected - all 9 of us really enjoyed our meals. The staff were friendly and kind enough to let us bring a birthday cake to light and share. Brilliant atmosphere and wonderful venue. We will be back again!

A Taste of Turkey with Classic Charm We recently visited a Turkish restaurant and had a generally enjoyable experience. The food was good, and the classic décor created a warm and inviting atmosphere. For starters, we tried the Hummus Kavurma, which was quite nice—rich, creamy hummus topped with flavorful sautéed lamb. For mains, we ordered the Chicken Shish and Penne Pollo. Both dishes were well-prepared, with the Chicken Shish being nicely grilled and well-seasoned, while the Penne Pollo had a creamy, comforting flavor. One slight downside was the service. Our waiter was polite but seemed a little unsure about the details of the dishes, repeatedly going to the back to check on ingredients. It would have been nice to get quicker responses, especially for those unfamiliar with Turkish cuisine. The drinks menu featured a decent selection of cocktails and mocktails, along with the usual beers and wines, offering a little something for everyone. Overall, while service could be improved, the quality of the food and the ambiance made it a pleasant dining experience. Would return for another meal!

Mum and I were served by a delightful lady called Carol. She was extremely friendly and efficient. The food was excellent with generous portion sizes. The menu has a really wide range of choices. Lovely quiet atmosphere. Always recommend.

Very reasonably priced and tasty food. Some of the drinks were on the expensive side and not as pleasant but service was amazing and the atmosphere/cleanliness was great also. Overall lovely visit!

Nice quirky, spacious caffe, with a very tasty decor and nice interior. Was a busy Monday afternoon understandable its bank holiday weekend. Sadly, quality let this place down. We were excited to order some lovely toasted bagels with different toping and different flavours. We were served quite fast and coffee arrived beautifuly presented. Bagels, sadly, was hard. To eat almost impossible to bite or chew. No cutlery was offered. Understandable due to the nature of food, maybe it's not a right way or etiquette to use knives but God they felt like a chewy rubber and toppings sliding off the hard bagel made to eat almost impossible. Messy , dripping, and not possible to consume. For that price was very disappointing and we left with big dissatisfaction Only giving 3 stars for the coffees as they were ok . I'm not sure if i ever go back as quality and service needs a lot of improvement . Don't like leaving negative feedback, but I like to leave an honest one.

My go-to restaurant. Whenever I have a celebration, friends visiting or to be honest any excuse to go out for a meal, Hermitage Rd Restaurant is always my first option. It’s perfect for sitting at the bar for drinks and for a sat down meal. The food is divine, not too fancy where there’s nothing you’d want to eat but fancy enough to feel special. As someone that doesn’t drink alcohol the mocktails are amazing - not just overpriced juice. The staff are so lovely & attentive but not too overpowering. The venue is just gorgeous, the high ceilings and huge windows, the lighting - it’s the most beautiful restaurant in the local area by a mile. It feels so special to pop out for an evening, a gorgeous place.

First time visiting Sukawatee and we are so glad that we did. On entering this tantalising and tasty thai restaurant we were greeted and made to feel welcome by some of the most polite and friendly staff we have ever encountered. Luckily there was a table available and after being shown to our seat we opted for the set A menu. All i can say is wow! The starters, which included Golden bags stuffed with minced pork and prawns, chicken satay and some other delightfully delicious thai titbits all tasted amazing and would happily order again. Onto the mains, we were served a creamy and flavoursome thai green curry and Beef with basil and chilli a good selection of rice and some mixed veg.....this was sublime and i could have eaten double if for the fact that the portions were so filling. Desert was a shared bowl of deep fried ice cream which tasted so good if not a bit indulgent which was a great end to a wonderful meal. I cant recommend sukawatee enough , well worth the money and we enjoyed it so much that we have booked a table for our anniversary. To all staff Khàawp-khun mâak.

Had my eye on this place for some time but only went in last week to try their food. And oh boy… they did not disappoint. Food came quick and smelled delicious 🤤 the food was very tasty, we really enjoyed it. The lady serving us was really nice and friendly. I had to grab their takeout menu on the way out as it’s definitely one of my favorite places now. I haven’t tried everything on the menu yet but I’m sure it’s going to be tasty

We love the food here. All the authentic tastes of Thailand that you could hope for. Always busy and bustling, especially in the evenings. I would highly recommend the Chicken Khao Soi whenever it’s on the menu

Nice food! The noise levels are very high so it was hard to hear my table at times but we would return. Lamb shank massaman is delish

I had dinner here last night and I must say, the food was amazing. First of, they bring you a bread basket with spicy and some kind of yoghurt dip i think. The bread was packed fully of flavour and freshly made. You know how come places they bring you bread like this so that the main course is a smaller potion, well this place didn’t do that. I ordered the mixed grill and it was packed full of flavours, i almost struggled to finish it. The tomatoes in itself tasted so delicious in the side salad that i could have easily just eaten that 😂. Great food and freshly grilled. Good ambience in the restaurant and staff were polite. Would definitely revisit one day.

Went tonight with a couple of friends and food was lovely. Staff friendly and it was nice and clean. Was a bit cold where we were sat but the temp had really dropped as it started snowing whilst we were there. Wish we had been by the fire 🔥 a bit warmer, but we ate drank talked laughed, and had a great night.

We had a fantastic Sunday dinner at The Millstream with a group of friends and two toddlers in tow. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and incredibly accommodating—especially with the little ones, which made a big difference. The food was excellent—proper hearty Sunday roasts with perfectly cooked meat, crispy roast potatoes, and rich, flavorful gravy. Portions were generous, and everything tasted homemade. They also had great options for the kids, which were served quickly (lifesaver!). Even the desserts were a hit. The service was attentive without being overbearing. The staff checked in just the right amount, kept drinks topped up, and were patient and kind with the toddlers, which we really appreciated. The setting was relaxed and cozy, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that made it easy to unwind and enjoy the afternoon. All in all, it was a really lovely experience, and we’ll definitely be back—great for families and groups alike.

Service by Emma was fantastic very accommodating for our large group who had travelled from all over the UK to spend time together. Thank you Emma!! Food was awesome clean plates all round and extremely good value for money thank you for everything. We will definitely be back soon!
