Great atmosphere and service, pretty decor. Only qualm are the small plates, especially for the sandwich. I got the chicken sandwich with mac and cheese and sriracha mayonnaise, it was delicious. The only thing I wasn’t expecting was how sweet it was. My friend had a burger, which was good however the burger bun was quite small which didn’t keep the whole burger intact.
The food here is 10/10, the place looks so much nicer as well, looks very clean/open. Love that they kept the black and white walls too. Vegan burger was banging and the fries with the shack seasoning was peng, deffo recommend. Next time I must try a milkshake as the photos online look too good 😍
Visited here as a regular of the Barton store and was pleased that the food is just as good however there are a few downsides; - A few things on our order got messed up which was upsetting - You have to pay £1.20 for chilli and garlic sauce which are free at Barton - The portion of loaded fries was very small - £3.10 for a soft drink is a bit much considering we’re in Hitchin! Otherwise the restaurant is very nice and I would definitely recommend.
Very tasty food and reasonable prices, the fried chicken spiciness is spot on and while meal very enjoyable. Only slight downside for me was that the burgers were of the smash variety which while crispy I feel you lose a lot of the lovely beefy taste. I'd likely stick to the chicken in the future as that was lovely, but if you like smash burgers then you'll like these!
